The services provided by Barrington Square Animal hospital are very poor. I took my dog to have an eye checked for what it looked like an irritated eye. The veterinarian there said it was an eye infection not bothering to do all necessary tests to make sure it was only an eye infection. The medication didnt work so I took the dog back again to the vet to have it reevaluated. At that point they decided to do an extra test to check pressure in the eye and diagnosed her with glaucoma. Glaucoma is a very dangerous and fast progressing disease that if not taken care of immediately will lead to dog blindness. When I asked the vet about why the glaucoma test wasnt performed at first they said because it cost extra. Furthermore, the vet calmly said without any affection for the dogs well being "you should take the dog sometime this week to the specialist" instead of immediately. Which proves to me one these vets are not affectionate about animals well being and two they have limited knowledge on how they should treat animals. Lastly also the vets high turnover at that clinic is also an concern. Therefore, IF YOU VALUE YOUR PETS HEALTH I WOULD LOOK FOR OTHER MORE RELIABLE VETERINARIAN PRACTICE.

This is kind of a weird review. The doctor was wonderful and so very sweet with my cat who was admittedly being a psycho. The only complaint I have is that I overheard a technician being pretty rude to the doctor when she asked her for help with my cat ("You told me to do this and now you want me to help you so which one is it??") and one of the women in the front desk was being quite impatient (in my opinion) to an older staff member that didnt know how to honor a coupon I had. I think its important that people are working in a supportive and positive workplace so it just made me sad to witness this lack in teamwork. Everyone has enough stress and deserves to have a nice workday. So basically, the treatment of my pet and the service towards me was great, just hope staff would treat each other with the same respect!

I have been bringing my cats to Barrington Square now for a number of years and I can not say enough good things about the staff and the care they take with my pets. In my panicked frenzy a few times when I needed medication and needles for my cat they have promptly fulfilled my request when Walgreens was being a bugger. I receive calls from the doctors and the vet techs to check up on the health of my pets when they have gone through something major and have been in to get them well. The doctors throughly explain procedures they are going to do and explain what may be going on with the cats health. I am VERY comfortable with their guidance and care.

Weve been taking our four dogs to Barrington Square for a little over a year. One of them had a pretty involved condition, and we recently lost him. Throughout, the staff was generally very good. We were seeing one doc who we liked, but he left the practice. Dr. Jen, who weve seen consistently for the past six months, is fantastic. She was great in helping us through the loss of our pup. The office staff is sometimes a little disorganized, but theyre generally friendly and helpful. The facility is just OK, but theyre opening a new building next year which looks great.

Brought our new puppy to receive a head to toe check up. We had a traumatic experience loosing a puppy within the first 24hours that we brought him home. The Vet was very compassionate, and understanding how afraid we were took time and checked our new puppy. Heard our concerns, the professionalism displayed made this Vet my number 1 place to take my puppy for follow-up and lifetime care. We are considering bringing our Boxer to this vet as my trust and confidence is in the right place. Thanks for such a great experience.

Petland recommended this place when my new puppy wouldnt eat. Apparently they are the store vets. Even tho I didnt buy my puppy there, they gave me the 1st visit free! And thats how we met Dr. Shalini. She is absolutely wonderful. Because of her great attitude, I knew she should be the one that helped with the euthanasia of my 15 year old. She gets it. Ive transferred one of my other dogs over to her already, and as soon as something comes up for the remaining dog, Ill be taking him here as well!

We have used this vet since I was a child with a dog, they truly care about you pet and realize they are a part of your family. They are always kind, helpful, and extremely knowledgeable. They are also very conscious of cost, they are aware that pets can be expensive and go over costs and options to try and help minimize costs. I love this place and even though we have moved over the years we still make the drive (over 30 minutes now) because I would never take our dogs anywhere else!

I had an appointment for my at times some what difficult dog. We were seen at the time promised and the Staff was patient and caring. Also their offices are very clean and well organized. A neighbor highly recommended this vet clinic to me as she has been taking her pets here for several years. I am most happy that I followed her suggestion. This was my second appointment for my pet and will be returning as needed. I am most pleased with their service and pricing.

Dr. Jen Lancaster is exceptional - she cares very much about her patients. She treats every dog, cat, etc. with care and understanding and love. I have been going to Barrington Square Animal Hospital for quite some time. All of their vets and technicians are wonderful! I love that they have a separate cat room so my three are not as anxious when we visit. They are all professional and their love and compassion for animals is incredible. Top notch! Ive visited many different vets as I have moved around IL and this one has been the best by far. Dr. Jen always takes the time and gets to the actual issue instead of just treating the symptoms. You can tell they care for the animals and not just the business aspects.
