Very good overall! Just a couple very minor issues, but still exceptional! I went to this location, as they are a provider for my employers vision plan. I arrived to my appointment early (was for 3:30 on Thursday... got there at 3:00). After doing a very brief couple pages of new patient paperwork (one double-sided form and a privacy policy acknowledgment), I was immediately brought in for pre-procedure work. I personally decided to go for the "whole 9 yards", including eye photos and field of vision tests. The fees for these were disclosed up-front on the form, and I had an opportunity to decline. The assistants were very nice. They didnt ask if I had contacts in initially, so I had to re-do a couple test (thats as much my fault as theirs, though). They all had a great sense of humor, were very nice, and spoke English perfectly. Their angelic beauty is a nice plus too ;). When it got to the point of seeing the actual doctor, I didnt have to wait long! They were busy, doing probably 3-4 people at a time. However, I still felt like I was getting excellent attention. I didnt have to wait long for anything. He explains things thoroughly, and took his time. He also was in no way demeaning. He even went so far as to show me my iris pictures (without me having to ask!), explained what certain features would look like with certain conditions (IE: "if you had high cholesterol, this vein would look silver"), and answered my questions. Its also worth mentioning that hygiene was a very obvious priority. As soon as I was shown into a room, all equipment was wiped down with Alcohol and all papers were changed (even on machines that werent going to be used!). One of my only real issues (a minor one) was the assumption that I would purchase my new contact lenses through them. I didnt have a problem with purchasing through there, but I just wish theyd asked first. However, I wasnt forced to purchase them there (they were willing to "reverse" the insurance authorization so I could purchase elsewhere). This is really the only reason they lost the 5th star. Overall, I am very very very impressed! When it gets busy (IE: lunch or evening hours), it might be a little different (such as Conners experience), but that wasnt my case (3:30 on a Thursday). I actually almost regret having to wait a year to go back again!

A little over two weeks ago I scratched my cornea and was in desperate need of a new pair of glasses. After picking out a pair and paying for them, I was told that it would take a week to make them and send them to their Athens, Georgia location. Six days later I called just to make sure my glasses were arriving on schedule. After speaking to an employee on the phone, I was informed that my glasses were lost in the mail, and they had no idea when they were going to arrive. I continued to call daily trying to get a time frame for when I should expect the glasses. In these conversations, I was told that 27 pairs of glasses had been lost, amounting to $18,000 worth of merchandise, but there was nothing LensCrafters could do about it because it was UPS’s fault. Eventually, after calling for several days and having my mother come to the store in person, an employee finally ordered a new pair of glasses. I called again to ask if there was going to be any problem shipping the glasses to Athens, and I was informed that it would probably be “best” if I just had the glasses sent to the Holcomb Bridge location. Consequently, I drove from Athens to Norcross and stayed with my family for several days until my glasses arrived six days after their scheduled arrival. I understand that sometimes packages get lost, but I thought it was unreasonable that I needed to call the office every day to get updates. I also believed it to be unreasonable that I had to send my mother into the store to get someone to order me a replacement pair for the one that was lost. I have never written an online review before, but I am today because I would not want anyone in my community to experience what I have been through.

I went here this year to have our glasses made and purchase contacts even though they dont take our insurance. Normally we purchase our familys contacts and glasses with our normal Doctor. But this year our visit with him wasnt what I expected. So I opted to try something new. I am very pleased with our spur of the moment choice, I am very happy with my bifocal sunglasses that I picked up today. My son loves his glasses, and my daughter likes her contacts but she never has problem with the contacts her normal doctor prescribed. She has not wore her new eyeglasses, But I am sure she will like just as much as all of us do. Thank You for all your help and for not leaving us aimlessly roaming frames by ourselves.

Beware of their Drs office overcharging! When our 19 year old Dr made an appointment she asked in advance how much for an eye exam and was quoted $74. After the exam she went to check out they charged her $146 and said they did "other" exams but never told her their was an additional charge. They completely took advantage of her inexperience in dealing with these types of situations

Great experience here. Their sizing equipment was having issues but they got it worked out while being apologetic about the extra time it was taking.

Doctors are fantastic and helpful, but a few of the front desk ladies need a serious attitude adjustment. Snarky and unprofessional.
