I advise all to avoid this costly and unprofessional dental firm. The office staff are very rude. I had several procedures done and paid for everything upfront. infact, the office staff would not do any of my dental work without me paying first, so of course, I paid. The dentist, Peters, worked on several patients at once. Which he became confused of who was getting what done! Then he forgets to do all the required work! I finally had enough and told them ALL how unprofessional their business is and that I will never return. 3 months go by and they decide to send me a $452.35 bill in the mail demanding additional money! I called them and they said, "your insurance didnt cover everything". I said, how can you do this to people and live with yourself? I have wrote letters to no reply, called Dr Peters and he will not return my calls. Now I am being forced to pay to avoid ruining my credit! DO NOT USE THIS FIRM!

Ive been a patient of Dr. Harris for a few years now. I cant say enough about how professional he, his office staff and hygienists are. Its a pleasure working with a business that if you have a need they always seem to start from yes with a solution. Whether its scheduling, billing, or needing to get in for an appointment they always go above and beyond to make it work. They make going to the dentist and enjoyable experience which I find unbelievable. If I had one criticism its when Dr. Harris and his hygienist Michelle are working together, they always make me laugh which is kind of hard when youre getting dental work done! If you are looking for a dentist in Peachtree City you should absolutely choose Dr. Harris and Avella Family and cosmetic dentistry.

I have been a very satisfied, happy and appreciative patient of Dr. Harris even before he opened Avella Family & Cosmetic Dentistry. He is knowledgeable and communicates that knowledge through his work and actions in the operatory. A true artist in his profession, Dr. Harris transfers that art to the patient in the finished dental procedure. I was not a patient of Dr. Harris. I had a toothache. My dentist had no immediate availabilities, so on the recommendation of a friend who is one of his patients, I called. Dr. Harris fit me right in. I was also due for a regular cleaning and exam. I asked if I could have both done while I was there. Dr. Harris and his hygenist took the time to listen then examine and explain to me what I did and didnt need. They were honest and did not take advantage of the situation. I really felt comfortable there. The bill was VERY reasonable. Dr. Harris is now my dentist.

The front desk staff can be rude and hard to deal with. The hygienists are very good, gentle and friendly. The main doctor does not seem to keep up to date with his training. I had to visit a different dentist to get the correct diagnosis on my problem. The other dentists in the practice seem to be very good, but I seem to miss them in the days they work. For basic yearly cleanings this seems to be a good place to go. But if you have a slightly more complicated problem such as cavities etc I would recommend going to someone else.

This was my first visit to Avella Family Dental. I had concerns that they would be pushy as many other dentists have been in the past, trying to get me to purchase other services that I didnt want. What a relief to find this was not the case. Dr. Harris gave me several suggestions, but never pushed. He just said we would deal with those items when it was required. Dental Hygienist was very good and did a pain free thorough job. I will be going back!

We took our 3 year old to Avella for his first dentist visit. The hygienist (Ms. Vicki) was so awesome with him. She took the time to explain and show him what everything was, blew up glove "balloons" for him, and made him feel very at ease. Not only did he breeze through the visit (including x-rays), but he actually had fun. The entire staff is warm and welcoming, and they do an excellent job.

All procedures are accurately priced out with our dental insurance so there are no surprises or trying to get a refund for over payment of services.
