Sunday 11 July 2010 A few weeks ago, I made an appointment to take my cat there and find out why she was losing weight and not eating. I was told the visit would be $75, and there was an extensive treatment for senior cats for $150. At the end of the session, I was handed a bill for $360. That is not the basis for my saying to go elsewhere, but for the money spent, I learned very little. My cat was diagnosed with chronic renal failure, CRF. She stopped eating regular food, only lapping up the juices. What was I given for her to eat? A perscription "diet" of canned food, pate style, with no juices, the kind she was not eating., and I had already told this to the staff and the doctor. I asked what was the next step if she would not eat the food? "Well, let us know, and we will do some research." Really?! There was no consideration given as to what to do, procedurally, to make her feel better or get her to start eating. I learned so much more on the internet, for free, and from people or organizations who really care about cats, most all with first-hand experience. The diagnosis was not free, and I have no issue about paying for one, but not paying 50% more than I was led to believe, and not learning anything further. My cat has never been vacinated. One thing I read on an informative site on the internet about cats with CRF was to not have them get vaccinated, which the doctor wanted to do, and to which I steadfastedly refused. I only read about not vaccinating after the visit, but it reenforced my sense of a lack of care and sensitivity at Chicago Cat Clinic. The staff is very courteous. The doctor was professional. The office is very clean. Beyond getting paid for their services, I walked away with a sense that there was no caring about what I should do next, and all I knew was the my cat had Chronic Renal Failure, and not sure what it totally meant. A better alternative? Dr Park, Park Animal Hospital on Harlem Ave in Elmwood Park. Cheaper, to be sure, but more importantly, caring and compassionate, and what do we want most for our pets? Give Chicago Cat Clinic a try, if you want. [ I will not go back.]Consider Dr Park, as well.

Lemme start by saying that Im SO thankful that my previous veterinarian pointed me in the direction of this clinic! I had to relocate myself and my furry companion, Dairy, to Chicago from Florida before she could have some teeth extractions and a lump removal. Needless to say, I was eager to call up this clinic and get that process over with... Nervous for my Dairy, I was pleasantly surprised by the friendliness of the staff and Dr. Munoz. Goodness, shes incredibly sweet! She made sure to give me all the information I needed while being gentle with Dairy. Dairy is friendly by nature, but she almost fell asleep while Dr. Munoz examined her. If thats not a seal of approval, I dont know what is! The procedures went well, and I was able to take Dairy home the same day. The staff had already grown so attached to my little girl that they seemed sad to see her go, and made me very aware that I could call them if I had ANY questions at all. Bring your furbabies to this clinic. Im serious! You wont regret it, and your babies will thank you!!

I have been taking my cats to CCC for 5 years now and the staff there is wonderful. Dr. Nordwall and Dr. Marzec are great, and I highly recommend them. They are very thorough, gentle and patient. I would agree that the staff is polite and helpful. Im not a huge fan of the third doctor there...perhaps its a personality thing...I felt her to be a little abrasive, but she is also a good doctor. All in all, a great place and I trust my babies to them!

I have been taking my cats to Chicago Cat Clinic for many years. The doctors and staff are the best and the level of care is outstanding. They all have a wonderful bedside manner which has helped me keep a calm head in stressful times. The office staff makes you feel like family. As long as I have a feline companion, Chicago Cat Clinic will have me as a client.

My niece and I visited Dr. Lenyr Munoz here to learn more about Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Munoz, Molly and Adam were terrific, gentle and compassionate, taking the best care with their patients. Just about everyone here is a cat-owner which is a great sign!
