I have been bringing my eight year old german shepherd/border collie to this clinic for four years for checkups and the occasional hiccups. As I learned during my visit this sunday, she has developed arthritis in both of her back hips due to dysplasia. She started limping last week, and I was reticent to bring her to Banfield despite my being part of the wellness plan. However, unable to get an appointment at a "real" veterinary office near my home within a reasonable time period, I decided to take her to Banfield. Ive read plenty of the horror stories about Banfield online, and I can say my fears were pretty unfounded. The care she has received at this particular clinic has been very good. While Banfield may lack consistency in terms of the turnover of individual doctors, Ive yet to have a bad experience with the actual care my dog has received despite seeing three seperate vets in the years since Ive been taking her here. There are a lot of horror stories about cost and pricing, along with pressure to pursue treatments. The doctor I dealt with this weekend was very clear about the cost of each course of treatment, as well as the price of the medications for my dog. There is always a cost risk associated with pet ownership, so I am not going to complain about what I spent. The wellness plan shaved nearly 200 dollars off of my bill. I guess it depends on what you are looking for in a veterinary office. I chose Banfield years ago because money is tight - I am a teacher with a lot of student loan debt. Knowing what the risks of having an aging pup are, I cant complain about the service Ive received. The staff have been caring in regard to my dog, communicated clearly with me, and allowed me to make choices in her treatment.

We had a "wellness plan" for both of our dogs. When we moved 20 minutes away, they "transferred" our account to another location closer to where we were moving. When they did this, they marked our plan as cancelled. When we took our dogs in, we were informed that our wellness plan had been canceled when we moved. We then told them not to renew our account (because theyre clearly incompetent), and decided to take our dogs elsewhere. Later, we noticed that they had continued taking monthly fees out of our account for the past 6 months that it had been "cancelled." We called to ask for our 6 months of payments to be returned to us (as we received no service), and they said they could not do that because the plan was not technically cancelled. So without a written record from their clinic stating that we were told our plan was cancelled on that day, we could not have our money back. Either they dont believe in customer service, or they dont believe that we are customers. They may as well get used to the later, because we wont be the only ones not coming back if they keep up with these kinds of business practices.

Had been a customer for years. Have 4 dogs all with plans. The vets were going to operate on the wrong growth. Terrible communication. One vet would suggest one treatment with one price, and the other would change it drastically. I cancelled mmmeveship and I couldnt be happier. Please save your pets the grief. Take your pets to a local vet instead of this place..

Since I have been going there, everyone has been nothing but kind. My kitty needed surgery and one the girls (I think her name is Lisa) came in on an off day to attend to my kitty. I am really pleased with the Wellness program they offer for pets. I have already recommended them to other pet parents.

My oldest dog, Simba, was treated poorly when getting his nails cut by the staff. He was bleeding, covered in his own feces, and shaking viciously. Save your pet from trauma and dont bring them to this facility.
