Ive taken my dogs here for all of their lives because its locationally convenient. Ive had a couple "out-of-the-blue" conditions Ive brought my dog in for, each time leaving as if the visit were a complete waste of money and time. Recently, my dog 8 year old dog was experiencing tremendous amounts of pain, she was having crying fits throughout the day for about a week. Upon bringing her in, she fails to cry in front of them (of course). Post the quick look, I was told it was probably constipation, and if it continues I should bring her back. I sensed this couldnt be right- but Im no doctor, so I left with the same hopeless feeling Ive experienced prior. After a couple days with no improvement, I decided to switch vets. The new vet was very thorough with her exam, they explained all possible problems and by listening to what Ive experienced with my dog, they worked with me to come up with a plan to move forward. They brought up the possibilities of lab work and X-rays, I sat there thinking "why werent these options relayed to me at Shorewood?" Long story short, my dog is not constipated- she has an autoimmune form of meningitis, fluid along her spinal chord, and a problematic disc. She lost complete mobility of her hind legs days after the visit to Shorewood and immediately began intensive treatment. For years, I was under the impression that a visit to the vet was hopeless unless your dog preforms its mysterious condition in front of the vets at that very moment. Im so happy to have found such a wonderful new practice that cares for the welfare of my dogs as much as I do. Long story short, I will not be returning to Shorewood Animal Hospital.

I have been a client of the Shorewood Animal Hospital for 16 years. I have always been greeted and treated with kindness and respect. Recently, my sixteen year old cat fell ill to age, including the typical ailments and this past week a steady decline, that led to end of life. As an involved pet parent, I tried to fend off age by research, improved food, understanding (bodily accidents,) we all get old! Adding another litter box, some ear hypothyroid medicine, probiotics, you name it, we tried it. Through it all, this past year an amazing young woman, Dr. Firer and the Shorewood Animal Hospital team put up with me - "the crazy cat lady" adjusting to, in the end, the transition of end of life for my big boy, Jetta. Dr. Firers attentive, yet very professional and educated demeanor in coping with a new-comer pet parent to end of life, was a God send. I am so grateful for her effort, listening ear and above and beyond call to help our family immeasurably. Thank you Dr. Firer, thank you Shorewood Animal Hospital support team. Gods great blessing on you and yours! J. Schmidt

BAD EXPIERENCE!!! DO NOT TAKE YOUR PET HERE!!! I brought my dog here as a first time visitor. He was coughing like a cold... I was told he needed no antibiotics and i was giving cough pills.... 140 dollars visit!!!!! A week later coughing is worse. I call this clinic they tell me to come by and pick up some pills!?!?!?!?! Wrong how bout you see my pet again and get him well!!!! Also the waiting room is overly full, you have to stand while your waiting... I have contacted another vet for treatment!!!! i do not recommend this vet!!!!! Very busy and dont take the time with each pet as they should....

I have taken our cats to all 3 veterinarians at this practice and I can say unequivocally that all 3 are among the best in their profession. We have worked with dozens of vets in our many years of pet ownership so I have a pretty good basis for forming an opinion. They have the knowledge and skill to diagnose and treat pets, they clearly care about taking care of their patients, they are excellent at communicating to the clients, and provide the best in compassionate, up-to-date medicine.

I am fairly new to the area and I was searching for a new vet for my newly adopted pup. I am so happy I chose this vet. Ellie was greeted with lots of attention and they even took her picture and gave her a treat(after asking me if it was ok). The vet also seemed to have taken a fair amount of time with us, answering any questions I had. I didnt feel rushed during the visit. I cant speak for other offices, but I think you and your animal will be pleased with this one.

This place is great. Very surprised to see some negative reviews here. Everyone here was very loving and thorough with my black lab. She had some worms as a puppy and they got rid of them. Every time I call they are very responsive. They treat my dog with lots of respect. Everyone seems very happy to be working there too. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion on their own experience but I have nothing but good things to say about thie place.

We just took our kitty to see Dr. Young for a wellness visit. He hasnt been to a vet in many years because it is always so traumatic for him. They do low stress techniques for cats and gave him a pheromone blanket to calm him down. He did so well! He was calm and relaxed the whole time (even when they gave him 2 shots)! Everyone was very friendly and knowledgeable. Would definitely recommend!

The employees - from the vets to the front desk - are wonderful! Ive been taking all 3 to this clinic since I moved here in 2013 and have had nothing but good experiences. Special accolades to Dr. Tomaro who has gone above and beyond, even checking on his patients on weekends. And the love and compassion the clinic showed when I lost my cat was very touching. I love this place!

Although I think they may be pricey I believe they are worth it. They treat both my cat and dog with utmost care. My dog is a submissive urinater, and always pops a squat when shes sees another dog. The staff are always understanding and offers to clean it up. Dr. Young is our go-to Vet and is incredibly friendly and gentle.

Ive been coming here ever since I got my dog and I cant complain one bit. The nurses are super nice, and Dr. Rosene very knowledgeable. I can call them up and ask a question, or go in and ask. My dog loves going to the vet because she knows shell be taken care of. These guys are by far the best in the business.

Ive been taking my dogs here for 15 years. I dont even live close anymore, but they are the best. All the vets and staff are super friendly. The Vets are very knowledgeable and have a great demeanor with our dogs. Their compassion was greatly appreciated at times when we lost our dogs. They are the best!

I cant imagine taking my cat, Neko, anywhere else but to Dr. Rosene at Shorewood Animal Hospital. Hes friendly to humans and animals and listens thoughtfully when youre explaining any worries youre having about your furry friend. I recommend him to everyone and anyone who has a pet in the family!

Great DVMs and staff! Everyone is friendly and welcoming. I really appreciate to time taken by the DVMs to listen to my concerns and then give me their recommendations based on my situation. The waiting room is a decent size and there are treats for animals and their owners while you wait.
