Ive fostered a kitten on 2 separate occasions. Both have been very rewarding! The staff there is super friendly and informative. Your appointments are quick and to the point. Paws will give you everything you need to transport, feed, and heal the sick animals (assuming they need healing). You just supply a few toys and some LOVE. The foster location is in Little Village, so it isnt the "best" area, but Ive never had any more issues than I would in Lincoln Park, so dont let that bother you. The door to the foster location is off the side street on west side. There is usually metered parking. Im glad I decided to take on this opportunity with this organization! Highly recommend you try it.

I called the Paws Clinic to make an appointment for my dogs yearly immunizations. They tell you that each immunization ranges from $12-$25 dollars. Well what I didnt know is that it depends on your zip code. Of course the price per shot for me was $25. Do the math. Talk about discrimination!! I was going to be charged top dollar because of where I live!! This is not legal. I was so angry that I called my local Vet and found out that it was around the same price. Well worth it to have my own personal appointment not shared with 5000 other animals who are scheduled at the same time! What a scam! Non for profit, BS! Get with it Paws, we all need to cut corners no matter where we live!!

best place ever!!! I took my kitten in to get spayed and they were able to do it while she was 4 months when all other vets said I had to wait till she was 6 months. Found out my other cat was not fixed and took her in too, I took her to a vet closer to my house and they were horrible with her since shes very moody and they were gonna charge me over $500!!! took her into Paws Chicago and right away she felt more comfortable with them and wasnt as scared at all :) HIGHLY recommend them, and Im definitely making a donation to these wonderful people.

I just read a 3yr old post from some claiming DISCRIMINATION because of the zip code and sliding scale... He stated himself they told him over the phone would be between 15 and $25. Clearly u live in a middle class or better area and were asked to pay 25... He has the nerve to accuse of a scam!! Perfect example people DONT want to pay their fair share! There r people in poverty who scrape up that 15 to take care of a pet and u who can afford it wont pay the added ten.?? Yes it is a mom profit u idiot thats y its set up that way.

I got my pup spayed there about a month ago, and started realizing that she was peeing more and not able to hold it in as good. Now a couple weeks later and I believe something is terribly wrong! Need to take her to the vet tomorrow but believe she has a urinary tract infection! She is bleeding when she pees, and cant hold in her urine and urinating frequently and shaking, so I know it hurts, and little drops of blood are dripping from her personal part. I have my fingers crossed that its nothing more serious.

They are very professional. It does get a little packed but its very economical. If you are going to take advantage of their low cost please be quite, listen, turn off your darn cells, and pay attention to the presentation they offer. And for those complaining about the prices go to another veterinarian and which idiot doesnt know that every surgical procedure no matter how small comes with high risks.

I cant say enough great things about these folks. Other than the fact that the check in process is pandemonium, the entire staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Youll need to invest an entire day, since you have to be there at 7AM and do the pick up at 4PM, But, considering what typical vets charge, you cant go wrong. Spaying is all they do at the Lurie location and they do it the best.

If you have feral cats near your house PAWS will loan you a trap to catch them--bring them to PAWS and they will spae or neuter them whereupon you re-release them in the "wild" its a "catch and release" program. the staff and veterinarians are super (friendly and knowledgeable.)

Please stay away for the healthy of your pet. Our puppy almost died from an infection during a neuter process. Also, keep in mind they do use metal sutures if you want to avoid. The neuter is inexpensive, but ended up spending another $1000 in after neuter surgery and medicine.

Inexpensive and friendly service! I have 2 dogs and 2 cats which I got all of them spayed/neutered at Paws. Although theres sometimes a wait its well worth it! The staff is friendly and the cost of my pets yearly vaccinations are way cheaper than going to my vet.

This center is great and affordable for bringing your pet to get neutered or spayed. The wait times can be a little long but theres a TV on playing an informative video about cats and dogs. Learned a lot of useful tips.
