My dog Kano became very ill from what we later found out to be a fractured chicken bone stuck in his digestive system. So I decided to take him to a local hospital since his condition did not seem to be improving. The lady at the front desk told me it was going to be $65 dollars just to see the vet on such short notice and that I needed to hurry up and make a decision because the doctor was very busy and in between visits. lol I told the lady to not do me any favors, a rushed vet is simply not acceptable. I quickly went online read all the great reviews for Pulaski Animal Hospital, decided to give them a call and held my breath. Get this... After introducing myself my first question was, do I need to make an appointment in order to see a doctor ... response was... " typically its always best to schedule an appointment but whats most important right now Mr. Luna is your dogs condition, tell me a little bit more about whats wrong with your dog Kano" lol can you guys believe that ?!? I couldnt believe what I was hearing after having called several other hospitals with mediocre customer service at best. Do you really mean my dogs needs come first before business ?!?! WOW! So I rush over and the first thing I notice was how clean and organized the front desk and waiting area was. Two young ladies that genuinely seemed to enjoy their job and working with animals. And calm happy clients in the waiting area engaged in friendly conversations with each other. Dr. Teachout was the vet that attended us and did so wonderfully. Patient when listening to my concerns and thorough in evaluating my dogs needs and explaining what services would be required. Bottom line, I left there with something priceless in a situation such as this... peace of mind in knowing that my four legged kid was in good hands. Im glad to report that my Kano is back home and has even began to play with his toys again :) A Happy boy, with his two brothers Kaizer (boxer) and Keegan (shitzu) who missed him very much :)))

This is the second time I brought my dog to this vet. The first time I had no problems. The 2nd time forget about it. I left there crying my eyes out. I have a 1/2 pit and 1/2 american bulldog who does not realize that he is a pit. He is loving and gentle. The visit was for him to get shots, his nails clipped and there was a small bump on his left back side. The doctor, Deb Teachout, comes into the room and then takes him into the back room. They put a mussle on him and it took 4 people to hold him down and he only weighs 66 pounds. He was struggling becuse they were holding him down and he was afraid because they were hurting him and he comes of out the room with deep scratches on both sides of his ears and neck and wounds on his back leg. Dr. Teachout comes into the room and tells me that he is too aggressive and and handed me a dry cotton ball and said here you need to clean him up. Then on top of that she tells me that he needs training. The last time checked Vets were supposed to be able to work with dogs and have some control over them. They had the nerve to charge me $108.00 and send me on my way with no ointment or meds for his wounds that he was leaving with. I was so upset that my mother had to call the hospital back because she was such in shock and they still have never called back. Ugh it is so heart wrenching to me to look at my dog. My dog is 1 years old and I have never had any problems with him biting or scratching other than what a puppy does. He is playful and would not hurt anyone unles they tried hurting him. He goes to PetSmart and had not problem and he gets his nails cut at the placedown the block from me and he is fine. Needless to say - I will NEVER take my dog or any other pet for that matter to this place and I will NEVER recommend this place to anyone.

First I would like to say that I do like the Vets at Pulaski Animal, however the reception desk staff needs some help. They have never, in my opinion been very friendly but after this evening I am not sure that I want to go back ever again regardless of how nice the Vets are. I have two dogs and over the weekend my little Haley passed away. Since it was the weekend I had to take her to Berwyn Emergency. I stopped in at Pulaski Animal this evening to get a heartworm pill for my other dog Starr and since I was there I also wanted to tell them that Haley passed away. When I did the girl at the reception counter never even uttered the five little words that would make me want to go back in the future with my other dog Starr, those words should have been "Im sorry for your loss". Seems like common sense to me and common courtesy but apparently this girl had neither. I will have to think long and hard as to if I am going to continue taking Starr to this clinic. One more thing that did puzzle me in the past at this clinic, is that when my dogs got their shots in May, they took them out of the exam room to do the heartworm test & shots. My old Vet did it right there in the room. I wonder now just why they didnt do it right there like my old Vet.

I brought one of my dogs in because she was not feeling good they had me wait in one of the rooms for almost a whole hour. Just to tell me they cant figure out what was wrong with her. Then they offered her to stay so they can monitor overnight. But asking the right questions finding out that they will monitor your pet during the day not at night there are no staff there at night no doctors or anything thats why they close. If its animal hospital it should be open 24 hours. but there will be no one there at night. How was is that monitoring your pet. I still had to pay for a visit that they still did not know what was wrong with her. I took her to another veterinarian emergency hospital in the matter of five minutes they told me what was wrong with her I do not recommend this place at all! Please save your pet and take them to another one.
