In order to write something i had to give a star but this is the worse place ever rude receptionist,so my dog got hit by a car so i went there cause thats soppose to be an emergency vet but i guess my dog getting hit wasnt an emergency.So i got in there mind u i am in tears and shock and scared so i go in and tell the receptionist that my dog got hit and i need a dr so she gives me a paper told me to fill it out while im still holding my dog.then she said its 109 im like i have no money on me i was in a hurry to get her checked i said can i leave her here so i can go home and get money she said well we cant see her till u pay so i called my neighbor begged her to bring money so she did and when i told her my neighbor was coming she went in the back and the dr came out ,took her and checked her and said her tail,legs and maybe spine is broken and she wont be able to pee or poop so she the best way so she wont be in pain was to put her to sleep wow i started crying even more.so then the receptionist said in order to check her good i would have to pay 600 so i said ok can i leave her and go home and get the money she said no if u leave the dog has to leave with u i couldnt believe she said that while my poor baby was in pain.So thank god my neighbor was there and didnt like what the lady said so in the end all my toy poodle had was a broken pelvis and a rip in her bladder its alot but nothing what that other doctor said she is being taken care of by Dr.G at brighton park animal hospital.He is a special Doctor i my eyes .He saved my baby he said if she is alive after getting hit he is going to do what he can to save her and not give up on her.So he fixed her bladder and when that heals he will fix her pelvis God Bless Him.I paid 109 so those other people to be rude and to kill my dog,even my worse enemy i wouldnt tell them to take their dog there.I would tell them to go to BRIGHTON PARK ANIMAL HOSPITAL the best place that care about animals.The staff and docs are wonderful thx for reading.

This is a poorly operated emergency vet clinic. My dog was brought in Saturday afternoon. She was immediately brought into the back since she was unable to walk. My dog was very lethargic, gums were pale, weak, and unable to walk. I was under the impression she was being seen by a doctor since she was rushed to the back. We waited…and waited…and waited 30 minutes for a vet tech to tell me she okay and the doctor will see her soon. After an hour of waiting I had to ask the receptionist what was going on and the only thing she told me was the was resting. 3 hours later we are finally placed in a room to see the doctor. Turns out he never looked at her the whole time she was there. It was then that he wanted to start running tests. First of all I totally understand this is an emergency clinic and the worst cases are seen first. However, there was only one doctor on a Saturday afternoon when most other vet clinics are closed for the day. If there is an emergency this is where people go since they can’t get into their normal vet. It would make sense to staff more than one doctor. I was told my dog was seen by the doctor while she was waiting in the back. If that was the case why didn’t he order the necessary tests he thought needed to be performed while we were waiting? It seems there were plenty of available vet techs who could have performed the tests (such as x-rays which he eventually ended up doing) rather than having to listen to them talk about their personal lives. When I was placed in a room 3 hours later he could have talked to me about the results rather than doing the initial exam and then all of the tests. This was a terrible visit that resulted in no answers for my dog. I will never return to this clinic and I will never refer any to this place. After reading many reviews online this seems to be a major issue in this clinic. I hope that it can be resolved.

I wouldnt even give them one star! I have taken my dog there twice now and both times I have been very displeased! The first time I took my dog there the Vet wouldnt even touch my dog because he growled at him. They tried muzzling him and was unsuccessful, from there they basically told me there was nothing they could do. My dog has a good judge of character so it says a lot about that place. the Vet just "looked" at him and told me he was fine. I paid $125 for the doctor to not even examin him. This last time I took my dog in it was because he was ill. I waited 3 hours and 45 minutes in the exam room without the Vet ever coming in!!! The receptionist gave me attitude when I called to make sure they were open seeing as it was a holiday, didnt know if they were open, she even gave me attitude when I got there with my sick dog! Once in the exam room the RN took his temp and told me the Vet would be in soon. 3 hours went by with no doctor insight and it sounded like there was a party going on up front. I was the first dog in the place and I continued to hear others being taken back after me. No one ever checked in on me to let me know there would still be a wait. I peeked my head out to see if there was someone around that could tell me how much longer it would be, no one was visible. I decided to leave without even saying anything to them! I am so displeased with the kind of service they give, I understand certain emergencies go above mine but a simple check in every 20 minutes would have gone a long way! I will never return there or recommend it to any pet owner. Once I left I immediately called my dogs usual vet and told them what happened. Now I have to wait until tomorrow for my sick dog to be seen at his vet!!! I hope this place shuts down because they dont deserve to "care" for animals, if I would even call it that.

Worst place ever! I took a teacup Yorkie I found on the street that was dirty and look like it was injured. I took it to this hospital and informed them of what happened I told her I would not be able to take the dog back to my home due to me having a larger dog there. I kid you not the doctor looked at the dog said its I girl and I replied to her I can see that, and she then said the dog looks okay and that they would call a shelter to get the dog that was not micro-chipped. I was able to find out she wasnt micro chipped by Petsmart. As I was leaving I she told me it would be better to take the dog so I did. They then charged me $250.00 for a dog that was not mine!! I told them I didnt know they would charge for that she then said the girl at the front desk should have told you. The girl at the front desk admitted she forgot although they still expected me to pay! I will never go back here, I was trying to do a good deed and get this dog taken care of and ended up getting screwed at the end.
