Ive been a patient here for a few years. My most recent experience has not been good. The doctor almost always runs behind on a Saturday and then rushes through the exam. It would help if he didnt show up 30 minutes late for the first appointment of the day (which was mine). I guess stopping for coffee was more important than me, the patient. Unfortunately the bad experience doesnt end there. I needed a prescription change, so the next step was the in house opticians which I normally appreciate. I thought it was a bit strange when they didnt measure where to put the prescription in the lenses, but assumed they would just refer to my previous prescription. I should have known better than to assume! Glasses arrived, I picked them up and went on my way. Two days later I couldnt stand it anymore when I couldnt read anything. I called and they told me to bring them back. I went in on a Saturday again since they no longer have any evening hours like they did when I first went there, and neither of the opticians was in when I arrived 30 minutes after they opened. I left the glasses with detailed information on what the issue was and was told by the doctors wife that they would call me. Four days later they called and left a message which I took 2 weeks to return because I was so aggravated. When I finally called, the optician yelled at me on the phone that he did call me back, which I acknowledged. There was no reason for him to yell as I didnt say ANYTHING about how long it took him to call me. I went back in for them to look at the glasses on me and what do you think they found? The prescription was put in the lenses in the wrong place! This time they measured me before sending the glasses out to be redone. Redone glasses came in, I went back in, and they still werent right. After several minutes of discussion with the optician, he finally admitted that bifocals arent for everyone and that not everyones brain can adapt to them. When I ordered these glasses I told them I didnt want ANOTHER pair of bifocals because of how long it took to adapt to my current pair, that I wanted two separate pairs. They once again told me I just needed to try it and I would be ok. I should have been more insistent this time. The optician said they would send them back out and have them redone with just the distance prescription, and that for the close up I just needed a standard pair of readers I could get anywhere. I have NEVER felt more like I have been RIPPED OFF. The bifocals are very expensive lenses and in my case totally unnecessary. My regular lenses for the distance are about $50, and plain readers from anywhere are about $8-$10. They charged me $190 for the bifocals. Totally unnecessary! This combined with the horrible customer service, makes me say run as fast as you can to another eye doctor. I understand maximizing profits, but this was totally unnecessary. I WILL NOT BE GOING BACK . I have since cancelled my glasses.

Dr Caro and Larry (the optical dispenser) have been very thorough, as my contact lens fitting experience is always a difficult one. Their patience, (and mine), along with Dr Caros explaining things along the way, have been most helpful. The front desk people are also very pleasant and personable, prompt with anyone who walks through the door. I love Dr Caro and his staff. I have been seeing them for over 10 years since my lazer eye surgery was performed. Everyone there are so personable and all around good folks. My eyes are very important to me and I feel I get good care. The lazer is starting to fade I guess and I need glasses for the computer and they have been helpful. I think now I am needing a new prescription so Ill be heading back to Sauganash soon.

Go here youll love it just like I do! Everyone there treats you sooooo nice! and they really care about their jobs. The doctor there is the best and made sure he got my prescription accurately. I went to buena vista optical before and they were horrible they always rushed me plus theyre overpriced. The prices here are reasonable and some eyeglasses were way cheaper than any other place like Pearle Vision.

I have been going to the Sauganash Family Eye Center for years. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. My eye exams have been through and Dr. Caro is a wonderful doctor who makes every patient feel important. He never rushes through the exam and always has time to answer questions.
