So I have been going to this facility for 10+ yrs as well since 2006 and my must say my first 8yrs was awesome. Dr Farris was the man but since he isnt there as much anymore the palace has really taken a turn for the worse. They have a very rude none knowledgeable staff to the point its ridiculous. Last year when I was scheduling my contact eye exam I still had my insurance but I also was added onto my wifes as well because her insurance pays for a free contact exam every year. So I told the girl on the phone and gave her the info and she said she would verify my coverage before I came in. So I went in for the eye contact exam and I always refuse the extra x-ray they like to try to charge you extra for, I signed the refusal paper and then they took me back. Well the girl did the exam anyway even though I had signed a refusal paper. Then when I was checking out the girl tried to charge me for it. I told her I had the paper were I refused it and she went and got it and talked to someone who told her she couldnt charge me for it because I had signed the paper. So then she proceeds to try and charge me $45 for the contact exam. I then stated that I spoke to them and they said they would verify my insurance and that I dont have to pay for it. She then said she verified it while I was getting the exam done and they said that it was only for contacts/materials and that I would have to pay the normal $45 for the exam. Now keep in mind my wife was just there two weeks prior, had a contact exam done and didnt have to pay a dime. So I decided to call right in front of her and she walked off mumbling something under her breath. When I got them on the phone they verified that indeed the exam was free, I let another girl talk to them and they verified with her that the exam was indeed free as well. So the girl came back up and still insisted that she called and they told her something different, never admitting any wrong doing or a sorry. The other girl who verified it did offer an apology and offered to give me a extra discount on my contacts. I refused it because I never get contactd through them, I always use southern eyes for contacts because they are the cheapest around and if you buy a year supply you can get a 40% discount on a pair of Oakleys. I am up now to schedule another appointment but I will be going to Southern eyes for my future exams since they are free now, only reason I kept dealing with eyecarecenter was because since I was a returning customer they only charged me $45 instead of $100 on the contact exam. Well never again. Also for anyone wondering, the old eye glass lady from eyecarecenter is now working at the Southern EYEs in Concord NC as well as 3 or 4 others from the eyecarecenter. Southern eyes has a very professional staff and I highly recommend giving them a shot if your experience with eyecarecenter has been less than desirable.

Well initially when I received my glasses I noticed that one nose piece was welded higher than the other and I stated to the lady that it was so and she bent them to what she thought was good for her . Well I went back a few days later complaining that the nose piece was hurting my nose and she appeared to get an attitude so I met her bend the nose pieces more and know the nose pieces are digging into my nose , so I called today and they want to discuss what I want to do over the phone when the lady at the eye glass business wouldnt do much more for me than just bend a nose piece that she cant manipulate anything more than the nose piece an not the height of the piece that rests on your nose . I gave one star but I wouldnt have given them that but site wont let me give less because I would have given the whole place a neg - 10 their attitudes there are lacking in people skills.

DO NOT EVER COME HERE FOR EYE EXAM GLASSES OR ANYTHING!!! Their customer service is the worst. They kept trying to charge me for extra things after they made a mistake with my contact fitting. It is very disorganized, the ladies up front are stupid and seem rascist. No one realized I was waiting for so long in the lobby until someone finally asked me. I was the only colored person there. Never again will I ever do business here! I STRONGLY recommend that NO ONE EVER COMES here again!!! Pearl Vision or Lens Crafters was more expensive to go to but they have always treated me with great customer service!

Ive been coming here for over 10 years now and Im shocked at some of the reviews here. The ladies in the optical department have always been nothing but friendly towards me when Ive asked for their help and the same goes for the contact lens ladies. As for the front desk women, Ive never had any problems with them either. The new Dr. is also very nice and Id rate every experience there 10/10

I dont understand the poor reviews. I went yesterday for the first time and found everyone there super friendly and helpful. Doctor Bailey took his time to answer all of my questions and gave me great advice. The office was clean and had a great atmosphere. Based on my experience yesterday I would recommend this place!

Ive been using this eye doctor since 2009 and couldnt be happier. When it comes to eye exam prices, this office cant be beat. Even their contacts are affordable. I never buy glasses here though. Seems like most optometry offices charge an arm and a leg for glasses, I just get mine online.

Very poor customer service. Ladies at front desk and in the glasses department sit around and make up their own rules...as I walked out today I overheard them laughing. Please bring back the educated, quite ladies.
