The facility itself is clean. The techs clean all the equipment in front of you, which is nice. It was pretty easy to get an appointment, and insurance is accepted for the exam itself. If you want to get an insurance discount on your frames or lenses, you need to submit that on your own. Upon arriving, you need to check in. The nurse wasnt that friendly, but it was the end of the day, she was efficient though. I was called in after a fairly short wait - 10 minutes at most - and had my first set of tests done with one tech, and then I was led to another room where a different tech did more testing and then dilated my eyes and did a little more. Both techs had an attitude that screamed "I hate my job". They were pleasant, mind you, but they were either bored or ready to go home already. Once that was done, I was taken to the doctors exam room and left to sit there and wait. It struck me as odd that the door was left open. Ive never been led to an exam room and had the door left open before. The doctor came in after another short wait - again no more than 10 minutes. She was nice enough, but was fixated on my wandering eye. Before even looking at my eyes - she had looked at my chart though. Shed grabbed that and disappeared before coming into the room - she said "We can fix that." I wasnt there because of my eye. Its been doing that since birth due to nerves that arent developed. Before I knew it she was giving me a referral to another doctor to get it aligned. I was there for a diabetic eye exam! Finally, she looked at my eyes and yet all the time she was going on and on about my eye and how they can make it straight so it doesnt look bad in pictures, but that Ill never see out of it. (Not sure insurance will cover that as it seems to be cosmetic...and I never did get the referral handed to me.) Once I was done, I went to the part of the office where I was to pick out frames. Laura was super sweet and even offered to take a picture of me to send off to my friend so she could weigh in on the frames I couldnt decide between. The price was crazy once everything was put together. I ended up canceling my order and Im taking my prescription elsewhere. All in all, my eyes were examined and that was the point of the visit. I never really felt welcome. I never saw any smiles and the bedside manner of not only the nurse at the check in, but the techs needs some major improvement. I was referred to this doctor by my PCP, but I think next year Ill find somewhere else to go.

Dr. Jon Gieser is absolutely awesome!!! Last week he saw me on a moments notice, and he performed surgery on me the next day. He and his staff were nothing less then professional, and the level of care was certainly based on my needs. How wonderful it is that you can get quality eye care and be treated as a VIP at the same time. This was a scary time for me, but Dr, Gieser took the fear away and restored my eyesight. He is a true professional and a wonderful Doctor! I would highly recommend him to anyone!

3 and half hours total time for eye exam Terrible ! Kids waiting room has nothing to do and we got reprimanded for being in the hall of the pediatric area which is a small room with no door on it! We had a 10am appointment that we showed up 15 min early! No excuse given other than they are busy. Front staff ok Others were rude Been a patient since 1988

While my doctor is very pleasant, the entire experience with Wheaton Eye Clinic has been poor. Beginning with a incorrect surgery schedule, no call back when I had requested and now at least an hour wait for all follow up appointments. My assessment of this clinic, good doctors, exceptionally poor administrators....I wont be back.

If you have too much time to waste , you can come here. Very un professional way of handling patients. They called us at a time and the doctor came to see us after 2 hrs. I have seen some busiest places where the patients are handled very professionally. Doctors are good.

Doctors and Nurses are good. Do NOT get your glasses there (FOR THE GLASSES PART), they do not stand behind their warranty, and they do not have the prices straight always changing the prices.
