Ive used VCA Worth for three emergencies for three pets in the last 6 months. Dr. Loxtercamp and Dr. Summerville and there was one more Dr. whos name I didnt catch, but did my cats emergency surgery even though she was booked that day and fit her in when an emergency clinic wasnt an affordable possibility and waiting at the animal welfare (who didnt pick up their phone the 3xs I called) could have been hit or miss. They have a been very helpful and extraordinarily compassionate. Most of the staff there is very kind and compassionate too. The way some of the vet techs coddled my pets as if they were there own is adorable. They answer all my ridiculous questions and are very thorough with explaining diagnosis. The reason I knocked a star off is for two reasons: similar to other reviews, they are a bit pricier than other vets and suggest a lot of optional services that Im not always sure if its needed or not. The other reason is I wasnt particularly satisfied with the lack of answers from one vet I saw once, whose name I wont mention. It may have just be a personality conflict, so there may be nothing wrong with that particular vet as a vet. I just ask which doctors are available and dont schedule with that one. They also text/email/call a lot for appt reminders, but Im pretty forgetful so I appreciate it, but I could see where others might not. I LOVE that they text you with updates on surgery procedures though, before and after. Its nice to know what theyre doing it and when theyre doing it and whats going on. I will probably keep paying the higher prices though, because I like the staff and its 2 minutes away from my house. Good staff and not waiting at animal welfare for hours for cheaper services wins out for me.

BEWARE*************Always a hidden cost associated with everything. They give services to your animal that were not requested or short you on something you paid for. The care for the animals is good, I will give them that but they would charge you for the air you breathe in their building if they could. I brought my animal there a few years back and requested a few things including a bath and mats to be cut out. Also requested NOTHING additional be done unless approve by me. I was given a quote with a general estimate. When I came back to pick my animal up, she wasnt given a bath or had her mats cut out or anything. They claimed she was too stressed for it....but didnt feel she was too stressed to give her a chest xray and some other additional services that were not requested. Then tried to play stupid when I told them I wasnt going to pay for it. They gave me an estimate for around $350-450 for the check up and cleaning. Without a phone call or anything, I show up to my animal who wasnt cleaned or anything. We did however get a bill for around $750......no big deal right? Just add another $300 without anybody knowing or asking? Place will nickel and dime you to death. Not to mention once they get your email address they will send you more junk mail than Capital One, or Bank or America combined.....about bringing in your animal like once a month for all their routine checks and additions. Its like going to Fuellers Car Wash with all their "add ons". I will be making the move to a smaller and more humble vet. Not some place that just wants to empty my pockets. Funny after posting this....I notice others have had the same problem often

I have been here once, and luckily I dont have to be back very soon. I came here this week with my sister in support of her cat that is very sick, And we came across one of your receptionist who was basically the typical teenager with an attitude (black hair with some green strips in it) List of rude things she did: -She didnt greet us when we came. -I asked for a pen and she just stared at me like I was asking for a $100. -When I had my hand stretched out for the pen she just sat it on the counter instead of handing it to me. - I heard her on the phone with another client and she was VERY rude to them. -After she hung up with the client on the phone, she then had the nerve to talk poorly about them to another receptionist. -She seemed to not know anything because ever question we asked she just said, "Ummmm......." and either give my sister a piss poor of an answer or asked someone else. I didnt get a very friendly vibr from this girl, the other receptionist was fine/nice.

My family has been going to VCA for over 20 years. My most recent dog has severe food allergies and ran out of food this week. I was notified the food company discontinued his special food formula. My dog has been to VCA numerous times for treatment of his allergies. I called VCA Worth and they would not tell me what type of food I could buy to feed my dog unless I came in for an appointment (when he is currently healthy) for a prescription diet. I am a RN in an ICU working night shift this weekend and I cannot get there till next week. I explained this to VCA and they would not help my dog unless he was seen. I only need a recommendation for a hypoallergenic food. Thanks VCA for caring about the money and not my dog.

I have been bringing all of my furry family members to the VCA in Worth since 1995. Over the years I have noticed that prices and services have increased, but when you trust your vet and they never let you down it is worth it. In my opinion Dr Breckenridge is the best vet ever, and we have had her as our vet since we started going there. She is honest and respects your opinion and wishes regarding your pet and she never tries to sell you more products or services than you need. I trust her explicitly with my furry friends and highly recommend her services to anyone who wants an excellent, caring, friendly, great vet.

I have been a customer of VCA Worth Animal Hospital for several years. I cannot say enough about the staff. Whether I am scheduling a nail trim or surgery for my dogs I have always been greeted and treated with the utmost respect. I always receive understandable explanations regarding complicated choices or procedures. I have been provided referrals in the need of specialists and the referral doctors(Ive needed 3 separate doctors) have the same high standards and quality of care. The staff was very compassionate when I had to say goodbye to one of my 3 beloved dogs. 5 stars sums it up!

First experience at this office with my Very very nervous puppy. From the front staff who were so nice and accommodating. The young gentleman even helped to sign me in On the computer. Next the couple of young girls who cut Busters nails were so patient and knew Exactly what to do to get the job done. I have been to 2 other veterinarian offices and by far was treated the best at your facility. Buster will be returning for all his care. Thank you again for being so nice & kind to my puppy.
