Excellent care and highly recommended! We found Merrick on the web and since it was close by, we took our sick puppy in. We saw Dr. Kelly. When he was diagnosed with a very painful systemic disease, we didnt know how we were going to take care of him and thought we might have to put him down. Dr. Kelly came to our rescue and offered to take him in as a "foster pet" and try to treat him to see how he responds. Everyone there took turns taking him home and loving him. It was an incredible relief to know he was in good hands. She gave us our puppy back a week later and he is doing great! Amara, who was assisting her, was also wonderful. Everyone there was very patient and kind and understanding, which was great since we were so stressed out over the whole situation. We are fans forever!!

Two years back I would have rated 5 stars. I used to see Dr Kasper there she was great then new management took over Dr. Kasper left there practic and after that it seemed like they cared more about making more money then taking care of your animals, by pushing unnecessary test and junk. Also miss diagnosed my mothers dog wanted to put her threw surgery for some thing that ended up being a UTI(was properly diagnosed by Berwyn animal hospital ) Now that I no longer use them i request for my dogs records to be printed so I could give it to my new vet (Dr kasper again ) they want to charge $10 per dog to print them to "cover cost of ink and paper"

A pleasure to meet Dr Sullivan and Dr Hosek they are top excellent doctors very caring and very reasonable in pricing. I like them two bc they are very open to listen to your concerns. No question is ever dumb or off limits. They most importantly make my dog Feel very welcome. Receptionists are nice as well but one who I shall not name often transfers me to the wrong places and misinterprets my requests then makes up an excuse that I dont want to argue or go there with this person but overall its good if you bypass that.

We take our dog, Sadie, to Merrick, and have been very pleased with the service, knowledge of every employee, and the care they show. Sadie is a bit skittish, but they put her at ease quickly. We have had a zillion animals and took then to a VCA practice. That veterinary group was very impersonal and I always got the impression they were mentally saying "get out; you are wasting too much of my valuable time." Merrick never makes you feel you are under a time limit.

Unfortunately, my wonderful energetic dog played a little too hard with another dog and tore his cruciate. But not to worry, Dr Hosek and his great team put him all back together again. He is still rehabbing but he is almost as good as new. Dr Hosek is an expert in the field and thats what you need when your dog experiences this kind of injury. In addition, they are also very reasonably priced. Im certainly glad we found Merrick and Dr Hosek and so is Indiana.

We love Merrick Animal Hospital. When we moved to Brookfield three years ago, we picked this vet because it was walking distance from our house. We have seen Dr. Kostiuk and Dr. Sullivan and love both vets as well as all of the staff. Their prices are totally reasonable. Our dog has been in for annual check ups, shots, a check up when she was sick and for teeth cleanings and we could not be happier with this vet.

After being without a dog for about 10 years we adopted a rescue pup. We went with another practice at first who misdiagnosed a common skin condition in puppies. We started with Merrick Animal Hospital and Dr. Hosek on the recommendation of an acquaintance. The entire staff has been wonderful. They are reasonably priced and really do care about the health of our puppy. I would highly recommend this practice.

After bad experiences with other local vets, I tried Merrick on a friends suggestion. The staff was extremely friendly and professional. Service was top notch and very affordable. Even got a $15 credit for myself and my friend when I told them I had been referred. Even though Merrick isnt very close to home, Ill be using them for any future veterinary needs.

OK...not sure about the "receptionist" that several people are talking about but I have used Merrick (Dr Kasper) for my 2 cats (Doug and Mary) and my current boxer (Duncan). They all love Duncan and greet him with kindness and respect every time without fail. Great vet center with great care for our extended families. The BEST! Thanks!

Im planing to take my puppy to Europe and i asked couple of questions via email. I wanted to go there and do all documentary and vaccinations, but they didint know what I will need for flight and told me that i should find out myself!!! Im not a vet I dont know such things, thats what there are for.

After bringing my animals there for 25 years, they wouldnt help my dog with a broken foot, because I wouldnt have money for a couple days. After 25 years of patronage. This is not the kind of "compassion" I want out of my animal care specialists. Youve lost a lifelong customer today.

Their professional service is unquestionable, but their love for the animals is the best!. Very nice staff, great doctors, and reasonable prices. They saved our dog and gave us the happiness of having her for a longer time. They are not just doctors, they are humans who love animals!.

Chicago Pin Up

The vets and assistants think cats are evil as they referred to my cat....when I confronted them they tried to deny it. My cat was screaming for its life we have never heard him scream that way. If you have a cat stay away. They mistreated mine and another vet proves it.

Be prepared to pay a LOT more than other vets. $300 to spay my puppy and they were already inside her for something else!!! I have the itemized bill to prove it. Shop around before you go here.
