If there were any way to leave a negative one million stars, I would. I am new to the area and a local suggested them. I asked if they could board my dogs for the night. I had used them once before when I came here on business and now that I moved to the area I had to go away on business and they took them for the evening. I picked them up and my 8 month old dog took a poop in the car half way home. She has NEVER done this before. My 3yr old was whining so, which is also VERY strange for her. I pulled over and she immediately pooped. The puppy then pooped again twice once I got home. I will leave it up to the readers to decide what happened. To me my dogs were clearly mistreated and not allowed to evacuate their bowels. They tried to tell me they had been out at 8 am and I picked them up at 10:30am. For 3 yrs with one and 8 months with the other if they have to go, then as soon as they go out, they go. So what was different? In my opinion they were abused and not taken out. I am very sad and hurt. I have a video of this that I will upload to show proof.

I have taken my older cat (15 years) here for two years now and I like the quality of care and the overall experience. They had some turnover in vets and Im still learning more about his new vet but she does seem very competent overall. Some feedback for her might be to listen a bit more than talking, as sometimes we know our pets better than you think. As with most vets, there is a bit of upselling to more testing and services, but they arent too hard-sell. At least they dont push prescription food like a lot of vets. They are very conveniently located and there is plenty of parking, which is important criteria when lugging a pet. The facility is clean and they also will board cats, which very few pet boarding facilities will do anymore.

Always polite and easy to deal with over the phone. If they have to put you on hold, its never for more than a minute or two. They send you email reminders of when your pet is due for shots and such (great for me, a first-time cat owner.) On my first visit there they gave me a 25% discount for services because my kitten was recently rescued and it was his first visit! Very friendly and competent staff, easy parking, forms they give you a chance to fill out ONLINE ahead of time (to minimize time spent at the office), clean facilities.

Dr. Thomas and staff are amazing! They treat your pets as if they were their own. I have some hard to handle dogs when it comes the vet, and the staff here is willing to take the time to get to know my dogs, go at their pace, and make the whole experience less stressful. I couldnt imagine going anywhere else!

They take good care of our dogs. We recently switched from another practice in Oak Park and prefer going here. Our dog just had ACL surgery and is in recovery. The surgery seemed to have been done well as she is recovering well. Its not the cheapest place but you get good care. Easy to get appointments.

Ive always had a great experience here. They are caring and gentle but also well equipped and thorough. I have only taken cats here but in my experience theyre the best vet clinic in the area. They arent the cheapest by any means, but I havent found their prices unreasonable.

I highly recommend Dr Thomas. He is kind, gentle and happy. My dog is very anxious and Dr T puts him at ease. The staff are all polite, welcoming and thorough. The bonus...I have yet to wait my appt...the Dr runs on time!! RF Vet is the very best!

Highly recommended; "Dr. M" and the rest of the staff are super nice people. Our cat has been quite angry and hostile toward vets in the past, but Dr. M put her at ease and took great care of her, it was really wonderful. Well definitely be back!
