Animal House Vet clinic is AWESOME!!!! I have a Jack Russell with horrific allergies. She is six years old and has been to Animal House a few times throughout the last year as we were new to the area. Weve worked with Dr. Sarah Pruss who is so genuine and truly cares about the health of your pet - or furry children as I like to refer to them... She always calls to follow up a couple days after seeing my little Josie to see how she is doing. Ive had to call and ask for a prescription of prednisone to be called in a couple of different times and she knows my babies situation and always accommodates my request. Last night I had to call the emergency line because Josie was completely miserable and had rubbed her head raw and was bleeding, along with a huge raw spot on her side. I left a message on the emergency line and Dr. Ammon called back in about ten minutes and was awesome and said hed call in a prescription for her to Walgreens. He said she needed to start treatment immediately and understood the sense of urgency. He told me Dr. Pruss will follow up with me Tuesday when they are back in the office. Im so thankful they genuinely care and know that sometimes treatment must be given even without being seen at an appointment. This vet clinic and their entire staff has been amazing and I would highly recommend them to anyone!!! Ill miss them since we just moved back into the city of Chicago and a on a search again for a vet and someone that cares as much as they do!! Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!! :)

Weve been clients for over 5 years now and the staff members here are just beyond excellent! They see both our 3 cats and 2 dogs, and I recommend them to everyone looking for a vet. Dr. Pruss has always been very kind and is wonderful with our furkids, very open and answers all of our questions. Dr. Sage has also been so wonderful. Theyve been there for us even during emergencies and have never been judgemental. They take their time, really connect, and remember; they dont just rush you out the door and onto the next client. I cant recommend them enough. If you guys at AH happen to read this, THANK YOU! Thank you so much for all you do <3

Animal House is the best hospital around. Doctor Sarah Pruss is a Phenomenal vet. She takes the time and care and understanding to work with you and your pet. Doctor Pruss has never turned away a call or a question from my family when it comes to our pet. She understands how much we love our furry friends and she shows the same to ours. She is gentle with your pet and truly shows why she is a cut above the rest. I recommend Animal House Veterinary Hospital. Great people, great understanding and overall great service. As long as I live in the area I will always take my pets to AHVH.

The BEST vet clinic around. We have taken our chocolate lab there for years. Dr. Pruss is honestly SOOO great with our dog. He had some back problems and she came up with a plan to try and get him back on track without surgery first given his age and it paid off! Hes back to our usual loving, active lab again and we didnt have to put him through the pain of a surgery at such an old age or us through the significant expense. Its great to find providers that are looking out for your dogs long term quality of life in looking at options for treatment. Highly recommended.

Dr. Sage and the group at Animal House have helped me in so many ways with my Rhodesian Ridgeback. Where other vets have missed certain details and misdiagnosed my dog, Dr. Sage has helped me keep my best friend happy and healthy! He has identified specific skin issues, allergy issues, and has helped me keeping my dogs paws in good health in extreme conditions like heat and ice. I couldnt recommend this veterinary practice more for taking care of all of your pets. They offer impeccable services and the most accurate diagnoses of your beloved pets!

Dr. Sage, Dr. Ammon and Sharon are the most incredible caretakers of my fur children. My cats are living well into their 20s. They have come to my home when my fur children could no longer walk. They have kept my loved ones healthy over the years and I trust no one as I do them. I feel that I am giving my babes the best care possible in their lives thru to their passing. It is not just a service but I view them as guardians to my family of pets. There is no one better!

Wonderful vet! I have taken my dog here for four years and I am never disappointed. Everyone is very nice and knowledgeable. When I have an emergency during business hours they always fit me in. If I have a concern after hours and leave a message one of the vets always calls me back in a timely fashion. I can recommend Dr. Ammon, Dr. Sage, and Dr. Gepphard. No matter who I see they have all been great. I have not personally had experience with the other DVMs.

Ive taken my cats and dogs here for over 7 years, and over time they have been seen by all of the vets. The staff is friendly and flexible with scheduling, and are up-front with cost estimates when they are able. Ive recommended this place to my friends, and will continue to do so.

Both locations are great. This has been, by far, the best vet I have used. They are knowledgeable, compassionate, and kind, and Im usually surprised at how low the bill is (but dont raise your rates!). Well never go anywhere else.
