We have been going to this practice for many years, and up until the last year it was great. Then new ownership took over and they are horrible! The cost of my dogs daily medication has doubled. The new doctors do not seem very knowledgeable. The facilities now seem messy and dirty when they used to be very clean. The nice smart knowledge staff that was working there have all quit and/or been let go, and replaced by disorganized friends of the owner who dont know squat. When I call now, I am always put on hold for a REALLY long time. And when I walk in there is always one new crazy receptionist who spends all of her time talking to birds in the back room and she never notices or helps the customers. Worst of all, they are now doing a bad job at record keeping and recently they almost made THREE medication errors with my dogs meds and vaccines (fortunately I was on top of things and I caught the mistakes before they reached my dog). My dog had a 3-year rabies vaccine and isnt due for it for 2 more years, but they keep harassing me that he needs this shot. They also were bugging me to get his every- 6-months bordatella vaccine in February when it wasnt due until May. Worst of all, my dog had a previous very serious allergic reaction to the leptospirosis vaccine and he cannot get this vaccine ever again. However the new staff keep emailing, snail mailing, and calling me to remind me to take my dog in for this vaccine (that I know he should not have because he is allergic to it). I have explained this to the staff and they said they would make a note of it so we wouldnt be bothered again. That was four months ago, and the calls, emails, and postcards continue, still pressuring me to bring my dog in for the vaccine he is allergic to. Also, my dog isnt due for his annual health physical for five more months and they are already bugging me to do it now. I get the sense that many patients have left the practice and so they are now hurting for money, so they keep pressuring us to take our dog in for services he does not need. As a result of the poor care, poor customer service, DANGEROUS MEDICATION AND VACCINATION ERRORS, and poor record keeping we have decided to leave this vet practice for our major vet needs.

What can I say about Cleveland Veterinary Clinic? I could go on forever.....the staff and the services we receive at Cleveland Veterinary Clinic are AMAZING. They are always quick to answer the phone, and get you in....especially if you are having an issue with one of the fur babies in the family. Their pricing is very fair and they go out of their way to help in every way possible. The staff is always so friendly and welcoming. They know just when to be enthusiastic or when to show sympathy. I recently lost my male boxer Balin....whom Dr. Maloney was so very familiar with. I was unable to get him to her in his final hours......but she had long ago gone out of her way to give me her cell # when he was sick before. She was texting me through the entire decision process and exam process at the emergency vet clinic we were at with him at 11 pm, Dr. Maloney is absolutely the BEST VET EVER!. I would follow her to the ends of the earth to have her care for ALL my babies. When we lost Balin he was put down by another vet clinic and still the staff at Cleveland sent us a sympathy card signed by all Balins favorite staff....Shari, Erin, Kate, Miriam and of course Dr. Maloney. Where else can you go and get that kind of personal service? None other than CLEVELAND VETERINARY CLINIC. Thank you for all you do to keep my babies happy and healthy.

Last year we began coming to Cleveland Vet with our 3 dogs and will continue to bring them in the future. The staff is so nice and we have never had to wait to get into the exam room. The doctors are wonderful. Our previous vet would push for us to do blood work or some other expensive test every time we had an appointment, even though our dogs were just there for a routine nail trim, ear cleaning etc. Cleveland vet does not suggest any tests that are not needed. They take excellent care of our pets. When they prescribe medicine, they follow up with a phone call to see how the dog is doing and take time to tell us what the medicine is for and how it will react and what results we should see and when. They send reminders for appointments via email which is really helpful. They also send emails with information, for example, when the dog flu was very active, they sent emails to tell us the warning signs and how to help keep our pets from situations where they might come in contact with it. We are so glad we switched to Cleveland vet and will be loyal customers for as long as we own pets. Oh, one more thing, the vet services are very affordable, especially when we compare the prices to our prior vet. Try them, you will not be disappointed.

I cannot say enough good things about Cleveland Veterinary Clinic. We went there when we fostered a dog named Ginger through HELP. We had been taking our dog Schnoopy to a different clinic but switched to Cleveland Veterinary Clinic because we were so impressed with the clinic and Dr. Maloney. Unfortunately at Schnoopys first appointment with Dr. Maloney we found out he had cancer and not long to live. The way Dr. Maloney handled the whole situation was so professional yet we could tell she felt our pain. On the day we had to put Schnoopy down, the clinic handled every detail in such a sensitive way. Dr. Maloney was not the doctor who put him down but she came into the room to say goodbye to him and even shed a tear. We love the clay paw print of Schnoopys paw they provided for us. I highly recommend Cleveland Veterinary Clinic. Dr. Maloney, the doctors, and staff there are wonderful.

This long winter was made even longer by worry and multiple visits to CVC with an ailing cat. Big brother Mac(cat) had a non-emergency ultrasound and echocardiogram to check the status of a heart murmur. Little brother(Cheddar) developed symptoms that seemed pretty serious and resulted in multiple visits, tests, medication, fluids, and a surprise-early diagnosis of asthma(unrelated to his illness). Im so happy to say that Cheddar is doing much better. Im grateful for the teamwork of Drs. Maloney and Williams and the entire staff that helped get Cheddar back on track. Their concern and responsiveness helped me feel more secure and hopeful about my cats recovery. Their thoroughness exposed asthma, possibly years before Cheddar ever would have shown outward symptoms. I so appreciate the respect they show for me and my animals.

Dr. Maloney and her staff have done a great job with our "nervous" pooch. We feel that she takes the extra time and gives him the attention that he needs. Which is what is most important to us. The only con I have, is that the treatment rooms have always been on the smaller side when managing our large breed. We seem to always be in the room that doesnt have the large hydraulic table. So, treatment is done on the floor, which might be safer for my pooch...but, everyones on the floor. Also, we typically fall into the "cat" rooms as well. They must do a great job cleaning up, because my entire family is allergic to cat dander and we seem to be alright being in there. Perhaps, treatment rooms should be rethought for comfort and ease of the pet, their family and the staff. Overall, great place!
