During the past two months, I have been to this location three times for follow-up appointments for my daughter and I have called at least three times to set up appointments, as well as one call to cancel a scheduled appointment. I can say that all of my experiences thus far have been positive. Both on the phone and in person, all staff with whom I have dealt have been courteous and professional. Each visit we have arrived 5 minutes before our scheduled appointment and we have not had to wait for more than 10 minutes past the appointment time before being ushered back to the exam room. I understand that the delay is most likely due to staff taking the time to properly assist the patient(s) before us. During our appointments, the medical provider—Nurse Practitioner Jennifer Calderala each time I was there—has given us as much time as we needed and made sure we understood everything she was telling us. (My daughter and wife saw a different medical provider on their first visit and they were pleased with her care, also.) In the past, at a different, non-affiliated health care facility, I have had the experience of knowing you were being rush-treated by the doctor because you were allotted 10 minutes and that was all you were going to get. Not here, I am happy to say. The Center for Family Health is our assigned provider after my daughter’s previous pediatrician retired, and I was wary of the facility before her first appointment after reading other reviews. Since what we have seen has been very different from what others have commented on here, I felt it important to share what we have experienced.

This place has canceled my appointments MANY times without telling me. So I arrive, ON TIME to be told its been canceled for one reason or another and that I can wait, or reschedule. Other times, Ive tried to explain to the staff my appointments, have even shown them appointment cards that theyve wrote out for me. And yet, Im not in their system for an appointment at all! Unbelievable. Id like to work here, because apparently you dont have to do anything. The doctors are so short with you and have made me feel stupid for even coming in. Ive also had doctors refer me to places and the places Im referred to NEVER receive a referral from them, which means I have to keep bugging them to fax a referral over. Lots of phone calls. Recently had a chest X Ray done that was supposed to be reviewed and I kept having to remind them of my review, which I didnt even see the doctor for. They kept popping in, asking what I was there for! The doctors aid finally came in and handed me a paper of my review. I wasnt even asked about my symptoms. Like if theyre better or worse. They didnt even give me the time to explain Im still having issues breathing. I literally sat in a room for an hour, for someone to hand me a piece of paper and that Im "good to go". I go here because they accept my insurance, but am looking for a new doctor. This place is unorganized and I dont feel like they care.

I had an appointment above six months ago..I had a skin condition in which a biopsy was needed. The so called doctor had no idea what she was doing..she literally left the room to google stuff. When it came time to do the biopsy, I was put in a room and it was implied Id be doing it myself..which I did. They took my blood also and after that used chicken scratch handwriting to out a name on the sample..until another nurse told her to print out a lable. Then three days ago I went to this same place but was seen by a different doctor. I had numerous concerns and for each and everyone the "doctor" dismissed then and said nothing was wrong. I had a strange growth on the inside of my nose I wanted her to look at..she glanced from 5 feet away and said, " oh thats nothing." I usually dont give bad reviews but this place needs to be shut down. These people are the lowest of low so called doctors and need to be evaluated for their credibility as health care providers. I would never recommend anyone go to this place..please for the sake of your own health just go elsewhere these people do not care about you. I cant believe I actually paid the co payment!! Ridiculous!!!!!

I tried going in for a walk in yesterday but I was in so much pain that I made an appointment instead. The receptionist gave me a card to come in at 9:45 and when I arrived they told me that it was at 9:30 and that I could not be seen. I have them the card and explain what had happened and another receptionist told me that he couldnt do anything and adviced me to wait until someone cancled as if it was my fault that I had been given to incorrect information. I have an extreme lower back pain and its difficult to the get dressed and drive to the clinic for them to be so unprofessional. Id rather go to a clinic that realizes their mistake and fixes them instead of doing what benefits them. Id recommend that if a patient has the ability to switch clinics thas t they go somewhere else. The physicians are good compared to others but they need staff that can actually do their job. Ive had the same job before and I know for a fact that making appointments, calling to reschedule, etc. is not hard at all.

THEY ARE AWFUL! If your from the sycamore/dekalb location, i would recommend that you try other clinics. This particular one is the worst Ive ever been to. If you come in early, they wont take you in til 40-45 minutes to an hour if your luckey, if you come in on time or a little late, youll sit in the waiting area for more than an hour or hour and half. The operators are very rude and had one hung up on me. To make appointment is the worst, first times that i call to make appointments, the first thing it does is "our operators are all busy at the moment" and/or every call i try to make. There just awful! Please take my words guys!

HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE! Had my appointment at 7:45am, i go at 7:30am to be early and they are closed. And they dont mention that they open at 8am. And then claim I had to be there at 745 when nobody was there to open doors. I told them they hadnt even opened yet and I probably miss understood the time since it was super early to go. But still didnt care and told me to make another appointment since I didnt make it on time, which was their fault I missed mine. They really dont care about the customers well-being at all.

They provide good care, however they ask very personal questions at the counter for all to hear. Demographic information such as: income, race, address, phone number etc. This is totally against HIPPA

If I could give zero stars, I would. Doctor I saw had no idea what she was doing. Gave a wrong diagnosis at first and then said it was something viral for canker sores. Do not go here, ever!

Service is OK. but they dont take digital records? Seriously they asked me to print the data from the disc that I got from my x-ray exam. What year is this? Dont you have computers??
