i took my husband to this death trap last night on 11/17/2015 around 6:00 oclock p.m. with a possible heart attack. not one but two of my daughters went in to tell them that their dad was having a possible heart attack and everyone of the staff members that was just standing there looked at them like they didnt speak english. so my oldest daughter gets a wheel chair her self and brings it to me then i get him out of the car by my self and wheel him in and still the staff stood there and did nothing. when they finally opened the er door i pushed him back there and the first nurse that was leaning against the wall said to me i cant help you {that wall must have needed more help standing then my husband}. so there i continued to push him down the hall to the nurses station where there was several nurses and a doctor just standing there not giving any help. once i get him in room # 4 one of the neglectful nurses came in behind me and said we will get him in the bed { i thought to myself now you want to do your job} once i got back from registering him in my husband told me that the nurse that was taking care of him raised her voice to him and was very disrespectful to him. i did not get her name but she was an older lady with greying shoulder length hair and had glasses. all i can say about that nurse is she is damn lucky i wasnt in the room because she would have been schooled on what it meant to be a nurse. they hooked him up to a blood pressure cuff and an ekg his monitor went off for 20 minutes before someone came in to shut it off. my husband used a urinal twice filling it to the top while in there i asked were i could empty it and i was told by an older white hair heavyset nurse that they would take care of it that was at 7:00 pm when my husband left at 9:00 pm the urinal was still full and so was my husbands bladder. the doctors changed shifts while we were there and the new doctor wanted my husband to stay over night and my husband said HELL NO i would rather go home than lay in this hospital alone and die. to all the nurses at this hospital you need to take a long look in the mirror and ask your self if you should really be a nurse. if this is what the medical field has come to i am glad i got out of it because people have 100% chance of saving their own life before any medical staff at this death trap would. i would go as far as saying they are worse then any VA hospital i have ever been to. everyone who works in the er should hang their heads in shame. One last thing to the women that told me today that she was over the ER you need to find another job if this is the way you lead your team, if you and your staff want to do a shity job then all of you should be willing to listen to the complaints that come in.This is not over i am going to do what ever it takes to change the way people get treated at this hospital.

I went to the ER having chest pains and I am 18 years old and had an amazing doctor come in this rating is mostly for him and the nurse that checked me in. The nurse that checked me in was nice and even more thoughtful. I wish I would have gotten his name. He told me keep breathing slowly dont panic because he could tell I was frightened. He even made me laugh a little by gently pushing my hair out of my face and he held my hand when my mom went to check me in. The doctor I saw was Doctor Don Mega. He was very helpful and had a smile on his face. He complemented my pajama pants and even though he was a tall guy who could have been scarry he was nice and gentle. If I had to choose between him and the doctor that I saw 6 months ago he would definitely be my choice. He told me that I had bronchitis and that I would be OK. If the two people decrbed here see this I want to say Thank You and you guys need a pay raise.

Doctor Metcalf is a terrible doctor. I had seen him a few times before changing to a doctor in Indianapolis. I had asked about help with weight loss and his recommendation was to buy a product on Amazon and buy Diamond Dallas Pages Yoga.... Lets not take the time to address why the sudden weight gain... I at one point while waiting in their waiting room to get blood drawn a gentleman arrived with what presented as a stroke he was dragging his left leg and had trouble with using his left arm. Hed stated to the nurse hed been in the ER and they didnt find anything and told him to follow up with his doctor. Instead of getting him in right in as they could clearly see he was having some sort of episode they asked him to come back the next day in the late afternoon... I was done that was the last time i went to that office. They dont care about their patients..... Stay away from Doctor Metcalf if possible.

Dr. Metcalf and his office needs to be investigated. There is so much negligence going on with multiple patients including myself. They refused to help me for 3 months stating my back pain was from breastfeeeding which I knew it wasnt and refused to do any type of check. Finally 2 months later (after countless doctor visits the 1st 3 months) they scheduled me for an MRI or CT never getting back with me. I kept calling about results with no luck. I went to a doctor in Indianapolis who scheduled another scan and reviewed my medical records with surprising results that showed a tumor within my spine. This hospital is so ran down and glad we are away from this hospital.

The Truth

Worst place to work... EVER! This place is ran by a pack of idiots. They treat their employees like GARBAGE. There is never any consistency with management and nobody ever stays employed for long. Not even the doctors!!! If I could rate this place in whole, I would give it 0/5 stars. How is that place even still standing? ANYONE can walk in and just tell by the staff that everyone is unhappy and miserable. These ratings speak in VOLUMES! STAY AWAY FROM FATAL MEMORIAL!!!!!!

Treat there employees like crap. The hospital it self is in money trouble, one of the reasons they charge more then the rest of the state. If you had to go to an hospital go to reid in Richmond.
