A short summary of my experience: about six months ago, my cat was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism. Treatment requires a series of adjustments to her medication to find the correct dose, and Dr. Lindstrom was adjusting it incorrectly (i.e., lowering the dose when she should have been increasing it). When my cat was initially diagnosed, Dr. Hubner prescribed her 2.5mg methimazole twice daily. Retesting after a month showed her thyroid levels were lowered too much, so the doctor decreased her to 2.5mg once daily. Dr. Hubner took a new job elsewhere, so my cat was placed in Dr. Lindstroms care. Retesting after another month showed that her thyroid levels were too high, so the doctor decreased her dose once more to 2.5mg every other day. And that was where she confused me. 2.5mg twice daily was too much medication, and 2.5mg once daily was not enough medication, so wouldnt she need something between those two doses? If my cats thyroid levels were too high, wouldnt she need MORE of her anti-thyroid medication? I questioned the doctor, and she convinced me I was confused -- to be fair, I was easily convinced, because I trusted her. My cat was retested two months later, and as a surprise to no one except Dr. Lindstrom, my cats thyroid levels increased. She actually told me that it didnt make sense and that she didnt understand why my cat wasnt responding to the medication. I can tell you why! Because she was barely receiving any medication! Her suggestion was to keep her on 2.5mg every other day, but to use compounded liquid methimazole instead of tablets. I called the office back the next day to request my cats actual T4 values from each time she was tested, which I should have done in the first place. When she was first diagnosed, it was 8.9. The last time she was retested, it was 8.7 -- nearly identical values. I thanked them for that information and immediately called to make an appointment at a new vet clinic. I provided my new vet with my cats information. He was also confused by Dr. Lindstroms decisions and increased her dose to 3.5mg every day. She was just retested after a month of her new dose, and her levels went back down to 5.5 (still a little high, but definitely an improvement), confirming that the medication does work and that Dr. Lindstrom was making a mistake. (Also, my bill was significantly cheaper at the new vet clinic.) I am thankful to have found a vet I can trust who can give my cat appropriate care. I only regret that I didnt do it sooner. VCAs entire staff was always very kind and prompt with their services. However, my cat was being medicated incorrectly. I will be eternally baffled as to what Dr. Lindstrom was thinking. I just hope theres no irreparable damage to my cats health for going so long without proper treatment.

I have been taking my furr babies to VCA on Lantern Road for almost 12 years and absolutely love the staff there and so do my babies. Willy especially loves the "spa" where he gets his hair cut, nails trimmed and a good ole scrubbing. I have been to many clinics across the city because of where I have lived and I can honestly tell you that Dr. Hubner & her staff are by far the most sincere, loving and AWESOME vet staff around. They are so compassionate not only for the animals they care for but for the humans they comfort as well. I have had furr babies who have passed due to old age and Dr. Hubner & staff have shown such empathy in times of sorrow. You can always count on Dr. Hubner for a shoulder to cry on or a meaningful discussion on doggie manners or misbehavior. I cant even imagine going elsewhere. My babies would not allow it.

Having my first puppy has been even more enjoyable bc of this group of ladies at the Fishers VCA. The work they do astounds me. I cannot believe how much they care about our animals. Everytime I come in for a new round of shots for my puppy Ronin, they are AMAZING. They treat us like family and are so kind. I could NO WAY be happier with the vet clinic I chose. THey are awesome. Seriously, everyone neds to bring their business here bc its the best in Fishers. I hear horror stories all the time about vet clinics and they are nothing like Ive heard. THis is a very special place. They really care and love their job and it shows. Dr. Jodi Hubner is wonderful and smart and has really helped us prepare our puppy for a healthy future. We love it here!!!

Took my 13 year old cat there after noticeable weight loss. Long story short, Dr. Mercer diagnosed his advanced cancer, provided suggestions and medication for comfort. When the time came to let him go, she and her staff went out of there way. I never felt that I was being hurried. She encouraged my questions all along the way. Excellent veterinarian care.

We love it here, Dr. Hubner has been wonderful with us dealing with our new cat. Also, weve had our dog Charlie treated here for years and they have always been great with him. They are really good at following up and go the extra mile to figure out what is wrong.

Everyone at VCA Cross Pointe is awesome. My dog is a weirdo and they take the time and patience to work with him. Dr Mercer is fabulous. Has given me great training tips to help with my temperamental dogs. Recommend to everyone! I would give 6 stars if I could.
