They did one of two things that messed up. They either gave our dog a rabies vaccine unnecessarily a year after she got a three year vaccine somewhere else or they messed up the records. I suspect they messed up the records, though Im not sure. (People who work there constantly get the wrong peoples accounts up by accident.) We were called about getting her being vaccinated, but when we got there, we were told she already had her vaccine, only a year, according to the records, after she got a three year rabies vaccine at Face. I went to Face again so our dog could be vaccinated from rabies. I showed the lady at Banfield the updated records. The lady was very snooty. She said, "Why do you have a wellness plan here despite going to Face" I saw her write the wrong month in when she wrote the new vaccination record in from Face. She was snooty again. She got impatient with me for correcting her. She said the rabies vaccine on record was at their clinic, but someone else who worked there said earlier that the records were about another place. What a contradiction. They sent our account to a collection agency because we havent been paying them. The credit card number was changed. I didnt know we had to cancel officially. We got no warning. I thought if it wasnt being paid they just canceled our membership. We need to officially cancel.

Do NOT purchase the pet wellness program!!! I bought the program thinking I would save money on teeth cleanings. Once I found out we couldnt use the cleanings since the anesthesia might kill my pet due to a heart condition, they were unwilling to use the cost of said cleanings toward another procedure. AND it would cost me $400 to downgrade to a cheaper plan...on top of the cost of the cheaper plan itself. Additionally, the plan AUTO-RENEWS unless you cancel. And dont even try cancelling the plan early, itll cost you way more to do so than just keeping it for the remainder of the year. Im paying for this plan and choosing to go to a different vet simply due to these facts.

Horrible experience. My girlfriend and I took our newly rescued dog in for a check up. What did the vet do? (Pretty sure her name was Dr. Petty.) She did nothing. We were there a good five minutes. They did not check our dogs temperature, teeth, breathing or anything of that nature. They just asked what we were there for and were basically silent for the other four minutes. Definitely a waste. Do not go here. Update: The future head of this branch contacted me and set me up with another appointment with a different vet. His name is Dr. T and he was amazing and so was the assistant. This isnt a horrible place, Dr. Petty is just a horrible vet. Ask for Dr. T!

For maintenance stuff this place is great, if my dog needed an expert I would take her to Broad Ripple Animal Clinic. The docs here feel more like PAs at an Urgent Care place, and there seems to be a lot of push for up selling. That being said the wellness plan offers a good value on the basic shots and bloodwork and such you should be getting for your pet annually.
