I would never recommend this place to any pet owner for two reasons. While they are inexpensive, sometimes you get what you pay for. I took my cat, Huckleberry (then kitten) in for his rabies vaccination. We were the last appointment of the day. They injected him and sent us on our way. Little did I know, he would have a severe reaction that started while riding in the car home. I attempted to call them repeatedly as I turned around to go back but no one answered. The time for them to close hadnt even hit yet. I ended up flying up 69 to the emergency vet on Hague/96th and paying $600 to save him from the allergy. Shouldnt some time be given to young animals receiving vaccinations for the first time? Allergies are not uncommon in animals. I understand that it was the last appointment on a Friday but use a little caution. Secondly, arguably one of the most traumatic experiences of my life involving an animal. I took my 13 year old cat, Frank in for a follow up for an upper respiratory infection. He had been on a course of antibiotics two weeks prior and improved but I felt needed another round. The doctor agreed but wanted to take blood just to rule out anything else. They took Frank for probably two minutes. After they brought him back, I could tell something was wrong with him. He was lethargic, kept sticking his tongue out, eyes dilated. I went to get help. He was dead before they could even get him out of the room. His neck was wet which I can only assume was from the blood draw. Ive read several articles since indicating that cats should have blood draws from the legs. The jugular is too fragile and is typically only used in larger animals. Yes, he was a big cat but likely suffered a blood clot or a tear in his artery and died. Of course, my fiance and I were bawling at this point as our cat just died in our arms at a follow up visit. The doctor came in and exact words "sometimes these things happen." Seriously? How many times has this happened there? The real kicker - they charged us $80 for their services that day. I was too in a daze to even argue it. Now I have severe anxiety when I take Huckleberry to the new vet. Im petrified of having any shot, test, or anything done. In short, the sticker price might be appealing but enter at the risk of your pet. Just read the response to my review below. Classless to say the least, and not exactly accurate but what did I expect. Actually, its adorable that the responder thinks another veterinary facility would go to these lengths to harm their reputation - when obviously, they are completely capable of harming it all on their own. I only posted this because I continue to receive promotional emails asking for business from Binford Pet Wellness. Not once did I receive a follow up phone call, card, or any remote form of sympathy or remorse for the events that took place the day that Frank died. I hope to steer as many people clear of this place as humanly possible, just as I have for the last nine months.

I would NEVER take any pets Here! I was NOT impressed with the way this vet performed business AT ALL! All they cared about was receiving money, rather than finding out what was wrong with my cat. They took my cat out of the exam room, and did not perform any of the examination in front of me. Once they brought him back, they stated my cat was dying and I should put him down. As I am sitting in the room bawling, deciding what to do (they stated he was in a crazy amount of pain), a staff member came in and let me know I need to make a decision because they have another appointment they need the room for. At that point I opted to take the medication they offered (which was over 500$) instead of putting down my beloved pet. After all, my cat was only 3 years old and had no history of health issues. I gave my cat the 500$ worth of medication for only a week (there was enough in there for months). The Binford veterinarian told me I would need to give my cat 3 different medications twice a day until all 3 bottles were gone. After I brought him home I decided I needed a second opinion. I took him to Allisonville animal hospital; they thoroughly looked at him (while I was in the room) as well as performed a blood test on him (which Binford "said" they had done). As it turned out, Allisonville Animal Hospital determined he has a grain allergy. After paying 500$ for medication he DID NOT need, on top of the staff trying to put him down, I would not recommend ANYONE take their pets here. Two years later he is doing amazing; all he needed was some grain free food. Shame of you Binford Pet Wellness Clinic for trying to put my cat down for ABSOLUTELY no good reason. All you care about is money, not your patients and their families. Im so glad I decided to get a second opinion and not listen to you. Had I listened to your terrible advice, I would no longer have my fur baby.

I am very impressed by this veterinarian clinic. I have had experience prior to my Yorkie, Pokey, getting his annual shots when my dog and his brother got their teeth cleaned...That was awhile ago but I am a dental hygienist and I LOVED that they took before and after pictures of their dental cleaning results. They also gave a great explanation of their problem areas and problems to be aware of for certain breeds. More recently, Pokey went in for his annual shots. I think its so cute they write the clients names on the outside board to personalize each day. I left my previous vet after buying into the vaccines for life program :/ which was unfortunate, financially, but the veterinarians office did not accommodate to working pet owners. I LOVE the hours Binford Pet Wellness Clinic offers for their furry friends. At this visit, Pokey got to see Dr. Angela Darden and her assistant/nurse, Hilary. They were both very compassionate and friendly to my little pup. :) Makes a fur mommy really happy. Binfords prices are also very affordable and they give you many different options for heartworm protection. I really, really like the little I.D. cards they give you with your dogs picture and vaccination records, they are amazing when boarding and convenient reference. Keep up the great work Binford Pet Wellness Clinic!

Everyone on staff is super nice and helpful. I just got a new 7 month old puppy and so far I have taken him in for a wellness exam, a first round of shots and getting stitches taken out, and I will be taking him back in a few weeks for a second round of shots. They have kept me informed about what shots he needs and why, and how long the appointments will take. I called to ask about a dewormer tablet that came with his adoption paperwork and they let me know about any possible side effects and what to watch for. I feel comfortable taking my dog here because they really care about the animals that come in. You can tell that they are animal people! They also keep a sign out front that welcomes all of the pets (it has their name on it if they have an appointment that day) and I just think thats a really nice touch. You also get an ID card for your pet that has a photo, their vaccine history, and a place for their microchip number if they have one. All of the important info I need is in one place instead of searching through my stack of paperwork. Overall, Im very happy that Ive chosen Binford Pet Wellness Clinic for my furbaby!
