My dog woke up with a very bad skin allergy today. It was crusting and oozing and has his hair matted down, didnt smell very well either. Called the our usual vet and there wasnt a doctor in at the moment. Well we were in the car and on the way... I was upset, he needed to be seen right now! The woman from our regular Vet mention Lawrenceburg Veterinarian Clinic and that they take walk ins. I heard good things about Lawrenceburg Veterinarian Clinic already and it was close so we went for it. Best decision I have ever made. We walked right in and was seen right away. Staff were wonderful and helpful. Took five mins to get out info in the computer, I signed one paper and we weighed my 104 lb baby and went into our very clean room. Dog nurse came in asked question and took a look and the doctor was in right behind her. Super nice, informative and took the time to answer all our questions. Extremely patient and tender with my dog. We were given 3 different medications with an explanation for everything. No unneeded testing and or unpleasant processes for my dog to go through! (I am very positive the other Vet would have done all the skin scraping and samples of this and that which would have cost soooo much money) Took a total of 40 mins from walking in to walking out and the cost for the visit and medication was very very very reasonable!!!! I feared it would be a costly event! I will no longer be using the previous Vet. We have a new doggy family doctor for our household!

I have always taken my pets here and they have always been wonderful. My dog Dusty was attacked by a Pitt Bull a few years ago, his ears ripped off, face hanging off, he was absolutely horribly injured; we didnt think he would make it but we rushed him out to the vet and they immediately told us to pull around back. By the time our car was there the entire staff was bustling out the door and they all began calling out, "Oh no, Dusty!" And it was so comforting that they knew him right away without us even having to give them a name, it made me feel that he was in safe hands. They immediately began cleaning him and prepping him for emergency surgery, they called in extra vets and techs and called us throughout the evening. The girls even took turns staying there with him at night because he was so traumatized by the attack and afraid because he was in pain and could no longer hear. Dusty made a full recovery thanks to this vet clinic. We never would have been able to afford his care anywhere else either, but they would never turn a hurting animal away. I cannot explain how much everything they did meant to us. We love this clinic!

I called Lawrenceburg Vet Clinic and a lady answered the phone. I told her my puppy Maddie needed to be spayed and then she asked if she was up to date with her shots. I told her she needed a rabies shot. So the lady told me Friday was open so before I confirmed the appointment I asked how much all that would cost. She replied "$130". I said great, Ill see you Friday. So I dropped Maddie off and then picked her back up same day. When I went to pay the girl taking my money said it was $170. I stood there a little shocked and I explained to the girl I was quoted $130. She asked me to wait a second and walked back to talk to the Vet and I could hear the lady I spoke to on the phone chiming in...and a little defensive I might add! So both the ladies walked out and the lady that quoted me rudely told me she would have never quoted me $130 and I reminded her of our phone conversation but she argued with me anyway. She basically called me a liar. I wouldnt have minded paying $170 if I would have been prepared for it. I will not be going back to this vet office! Very rude service and lack of communication!

My dog was attacked so she needed to see a vet quickly after having a horrible experience here quite a few years ago I was reluctant to go back. My dog was bleeding and she couldnt walk after talking to every other possible vet we had to come here because they were the only ones who had availability. I called to see if they could help my dog and they said yes. I walked In holding my bleeding dog and I was ignored by the ladies at the front desk. I was then asked in a quite rude tone if they could help me I explained that I had called and they told me to sit and wait while my dog was bleeding. After being there for about a half hour one of the ladies at the front desk told us to leave because they didnt want to deal with us after our prior experience around ten years ago where our cat was declawed and bleeding and then literally thrown to us by the vet. So one of the front desk ladies looked at my daughter who was crying and holding her bleeding dog and told her to leave because they didnt want to deal with us. This clinic doesnt care about the well being of animals and it is quite obvious

I have been taking my pets here since 2000 (5 dogs, and 2 cats), and I have only had one bad experience when I put my dog down. They did not put my dog in a box and only wrapped her in a blanket and put her in the back of my car. I assume that they did not have a box for her or one that would fit her (which could of been possible for she was a very big dog). However all the years I have had with them, that one bad experience did not make me feel like I would never go there again. Below are some of the pros and cons to this place. Pros: -costs are lower -service is quick for regular check-ups -convenient hours -vets/techs are knowledgeable about breeds, common disorders/diseases, and treatments Cons: -you dont know which vet you will get (however you can request someone when you walk in, look it up online, or call that day and ask, etc) -front seating area is kind of cramp if a lot of people are there. (I recommend crating cats and having control of your dog [short leash] at all times or waiting with your dog outside)

Terrible experience with the old man Folke. I used to be a Registered Vet Tech and was shocked at my pets lack of treatment. My dog was attacked by coyotes or pit bulls. I went to Lawrenceburg Vet Clinic since it was close and this was an emergency. Folke did nothing but flip a flap of skin back and forth and say he didnt know what was wrong with my dog. When he heard me talking on the phone to the vet I used to work for, asking if he would wait for me since this vet would not help my dog, he then gave him some supportive treatment for shock for the drive to my old boss and regular vet. That treatment should have been done the moment the dog was carried into the clinic. Never again! Its too bad because there are some caring vets there, but you cant choose which doctor you see. Its just luck of the draw. Folke needs to retire and let the good guys take over. Or at the very least let clients set appointments with the Vet of their choice.
