I had just moved to the area and we needed a vet closer to home. My fiance and I have a one year old Aussiedoodle with severe anxiety issues. She is the definition of Murphys Law (Murphy is her middle name). Our baby has had it all I, I dont know how many times we have been to the vet for her. Were also first time dog owners... so its a lot. Our puppy got really sick last night. My fiance got home around 5 and saw that she had gone out both ends all over herself, she was shaking, very lethargic, and really scared. I had called at 5:20 spoke with a veterinarian (which I really appreciated at the time) about my how bad this could actually be. She told me worst case scenario (of course) and that to bring her into the office, the cost would be $175 plus care. I went home to take a look, to see what she was doing, and how she was acting. After seeing how lethargic she was we decided to take her in. I called at 5:50 (30 minutes later) to let them know I was bringing her in and they put us down in the books. We got there and they sent us away because their on call Dr wasnt there! I had just spoke with a Dr and because it was 6:01 they didnt want to see her. Apparently their 24/7 sign out front doesnt really mean what it says. We live 3 miles from this place and my dog threw up twice in that short amount of time. If they would have told me to go somewhere else from the start I would have and this probably wouldnt be an issue and my puppy would have been treated faster. They didnt even call to check on her or anything after sending us away. Since our puppy isnt their priority we will never set foot in this place again. Very disappointing...

I brought my dog in on a Sunday two weeks ago for a minor infection. Everyone was nice but I ended up waiting 1.5 hours to see the vet due to other more serious issues with other animals. I get that and didnt have anywhere else to be so I waited patiently. My pup finally saw the vet and the care seemed good but the $325.00 estimate for a small infected area on his tail seemed outrageous! After going through the estimate thoroughly, many of the items could come off such as pain meds (he wasnt in any pain), a biopsy (hes 12.5 yrs old and his breed has a life span of 10-12 years), an X-ray, etc., etc., Anyway, they also wanted to charge me nearly $100.00 for an antibiotic. After a quick search on the web, I found the same medication for $.49/unit opposed to the $3.47/unit they wanted to charge me. They argued that companies outside of the country might not be selling the real medication so I found a reputable company here in the USA with the same med at a fraction of the cost, they still refused to price match despite telling me that they price match. I ended up with a different antibiotic that worked just fine. Fast forward two weeks and I brought my dog in for a follow up visit to make sure the spot was healing. The vet literally looked at his tail and said "He looks great". Thats it. On my way out, they charged me $30.00 for the visit!!!! Are you serious? $30.00 for less than two minutes?????? I dont know what has changed in the administration/billing/vets but what used to be a good experience, no longer is. We wont be back.

Absolutely outstanding! I awoke this morning to witness my 5 year old beloved dog Baxter had a serious eye infection. After a quick Google search I became very alarmed as I perused through multiple accounts of dogs becoming blind due to similar looking afflictions. So the search for a clinic open on Sunday began. Then the horror set back in as I read review after review condemning local facilities as overpriced but worse uneffective. Then I found this place. They were able to get me an appointment in less than 2 hrs which was nice. The front desk staff was friendly and quickly ushered us into a room. The "dog nurse" was very polite and knowledgeable while she assessed our situation. The Vet was a friendly woman who obviously took great interest in our situation. She place drops in Baxters eyes to make sure there wasnt a scratch which would have changed her prognosis. After verifying to topical damage she provided us with eye drops, care instructions, and even provided pointers for us while administering the medicine at home. My concerns where put to bed and Baxter and I were on our way home in less than an hour from the appointment time; the bill $79. I can say this place is the very best I have ever been to and will be back, hopefully not ;-), regardless of whether it is an after hours emergency or not. The owners of this place should be proud of what they have, outstanding facilities, and a knowledgeable, caring staff. 10 stars!

I have been taking my dogs here for almost 5 years. They seem to just want to nickel & dime very last cent they can get. They dont seem to want to treat a longterm health issues with a longterm treatment, but instead want to get you to come in more often with a different treatments that never works. They wanted to charge me over $300 for just testing. I refused the test & just got 2 vaccines which cost me $100! When I had my dogs records transferred they wrote down that I refused the shoot which also shows on the records I paid for them!!Their prices are through the roof, and the people there just seem to worry more about the bill than the care of my dog. Every time they have given me an estimate its been more money at the end. I finally had enough and now go to Mason Family Pet Hospital - they were able to quickly give me a LONGTERM plan & treatment, took the time to explain everything and was HALF the price. There are better places that actually want to help your pets get better. Only good thing with this place is their boarding, but after my last few vet visits I dont think Ill ever be back even for boarding.

I have been bringing my fur baby, Jozie, to WCVC since she was a puppy. She is now 4 years old. Jozie has allergies to a lot of things in the outside environment which causes her paws to almost become raw & extremely irritated. After trying meds & wipes I decided to have her tested for allergies through a blood test. She is now on weekly immunotherapy allergy injections & so far, this season, is doing well. Recently she was diagnosed with diabetes. She was one sick pup, with numerous complications. I thought we were going to have to have her put down. She now is energetic, full of life & happy to be loved by everyone she meets. She is on insulin shots twice a day. The doctors & staff have always treated me with respect and have always answered all my questions ( and believe me, I am the queen of questions :)). The front desk staff are courteous, knowledgeable & more than willing to help. They always call the day after a visit to see how she is doing. I highly recommend them. A big thank you to Dr. Wells, in particular, for being patient & working with me on Jozies care !!
