By my count heres what has occurred following my January 31 eye appointment: #1- Bifocals come back too weak. Had to send back for a correct prescription. #2- Bifocals done with poor workmanship. First sharp edges, then left lens keeps popping out. #3- Bifocals come back okay after over 2 more weeks. #4- Trifocals take over 3 weeks to fill. Even though I showed my old lens to make sure they were measured the same (8m+8M) they come back with 9m+11m. However one good thing was they were trivex lens like my new bifocals. If the measurements were done correctly it would have been a happy ending for all. #5- after 2 weeks Heartland Optical tells you he has to find another supplier. #6- 2 more weeks and the lens come back with pits in the coating. #7- another 2 weeks. They are thick plastic lens (not Trivex) and with flaws. They did not dispute this account. I received a refund. I went to Russs Uptown Optical and they filled the prescription in less than a week w/o any problems.

I have been with Total Family Eyecare since just after they opened. I have had nothing but good experiences. Dr. Howie exhibits the two traits I look for in a doctor: 1.) The knowledge and experience to care for my health. 2.) He and his staff seem to care about my health and my experiences at his clinic. Unfortunately, finding both attributes in one place is not always easy to find. I recommed Total Family Eyecare

Totally Impressed! Dr. Howie and his staff gave me the utmost attention, they gave great suggestions on frames, and were happy to help me try on dozens of different styles until I found the perfect pair. Before I even picked up the glasses, Dr. Howie had the lenses rebuilt because it didnt pass his stringent level of quality. These guys definitely took care of me. Thanks!

Dr. Howie & his staff are very courteous and professional. They are knowledgeable and have state-of-the-art technology that provides interesting and informative information to the patient. The person completing most of the eye screening tests was a girl going into 10th grade. She was wonderful, but again, she is 15 or 16 and I would rather have at least a medical assistant in that position. The Dr. also said maybe my daughter was faking it when her vision came back 20/20, while she was sitting right behind him. I will not be going back.

Dr Howie and his staff are the best that I have ever dealt with for eye care. Only had one problem there ever and it was a staffing issue that he has since handled. In my opinion he cares more for the customer satisfaction than the dollar, which is impossible to find in the quick in and out shops.

When my daughter broke her glasses and needed immediate replacements, the tech was able to put her old lenses into a spare frame for her to wear until her new glasses came in. Thats above and beyond in my book! Excellent service and I would recommend to others in the area.
