My nieces 11yr old toy poodle Ebony came down with a bad case of pyometra diagnosed by an emergency clinic last night. Needed emergency spay surgery asap. I read reviews and told my niece to call rainbow pet hosp. Shes a full time student with a part time job. Rainbow pet hospital told her it would be a $2000 surgery (for a spay mind you). So she calls Koch-Stigge in hometown of Harrisonville. They told her $400 for the test, spay, antibiotics etc. Thank God for Koch-Stigge! They had an appt for Ebony at 3pm this afternoon, they just confirmed diagnosis of pyometra (the dangerous kind thats closed) and theyre going to have her in surgery this evening. They will have her under professional observation and care until end of day tomorrow or next morning. Instead of taking a $1600 advantage of a desperate person with an innocent dog on its deathbed, theyve done everything to help Ebony and my niece. Its good to know there are still vets out there who are in it to truly provide care for our innocent little animals as well as humans for a reasonable rate. Just not this place!

I can not say enough good things about Rainbow Pet Hospital, Doc Overeem, Tracy, Stan and all the staff including the in house hospital cats. If you are looking for ultra modern - cold- inhospitable...well you are out of luck. But if you want an animal whisperer, a medical Dr. who examines the physical as well as the temperament of your animal - who just has been around enough to really know what she is doing - well you have found the right place! She doesnt mince words, mind you - but when you are trying to make life and death decisions, it really helps to know the facts. And when hard stuff happens - they are there crying right beside you and giving you a hug. I have never felt that the Hospital did anything to our pets that wasnt absolutely needed and the rates are better than competitive. Their Pet food is sold at a discount rate as well. You just cant beat the love and care that Rainbow and its staff will give your pets. I oughta know - we have 2 dogs and 3 cats - 1 of which we adopted from the hospital!

Weve been going to RPH for decades now. Doc Overeem has treated six dogs and I forget how many cats over the years, sometimes for serious problems, such as broken bones and food poisoning. She even saved two of our kids from parvo! Some animal hospitals strive to look and act like modern human medical centers, but our pets seem to prefer the down-home, warm atmosphere offered at Rainbow, along with the qualified and friendly staff there. We have never encountered a problem that they werent "modern" enough to handle. As for price, you wont find better value than what is offered here.

Remember when medical care was by a doctor who cared? Well at this vet you get just that kind of care. The Doc thinks in and outside the box. She is a realist, a pragmatist and one of the most caring people - your pets could not be in better hands. The staff if phenomenal too! They all make you feel like going there welcomes you into their family. This is a small clinic where you are NOT a number. The food is priced right and they are always expanding their services and knowledge. I just wish you could still find MDs with this type of dedication and personality.

Ive been bringing my cats to Doc and her staff for many years, and Ill be doing so until they retire or I expire. I know they care deeply about all the animals they treat, whether its a new patient or one theyve known for decades. I trust them implicitly to use their expertise for diagnosis and treatment or to give the best advice possible for home treatment. The fees they charge are so reasonable, its obvious they do what they do because their hearts are in it. I cant say enough good things about Rainbow Pet Hospital.

Dr Overeem and her staff are the best. My dog is dearer to me than many of my friends and I have complete faith and trust in Dr. Overeems experience and judgement. While I will spare no expense for my little princess I have found Rainbows prices to be very fair and reasonable. I also enjoy the fact that, unlike my previous clinic, I know that I and my dog will see the same vet every time. I simply cannot reccomend this place highly enough.

I LOVE Rainbow Pet Hospital! The vet and staff truly care about your animals. You can tell they are interested in making sure pets get the care they need by offering everything at an affordable price. All of the products they sell are at a lower price than even 1-800- PET-MEDS. Above all the vet and staff are knowledgeable and offer the best possible care for your four legged family members. I am so glad I found them for my two dogs!

This place was recommended to me by two different people who are both serious animal lovers. I now know why. I brought my baby here because after his long 20 year life it was time for the next stage. I love him very much and the process could not have been any smoother. They also offer cremation. I appreciate the compassionate service I received and will be bringing my 2 year old cat here for care from now on!

This has been our Vet going on 17 years...Dr Overeem has taken care of each of our pets and saved the very first one from parvo. They have gotten us through kitten and puppy phase and have hugged us when we have gone on to the next life. They instructive, incredibly patient, and truly love taking care of furry kids. I cant say enough about this place!!!

I cant say enough about how great Rainbow Pet Hospital is, the Doctor, the staff... all really care about their furry clients and their owners. I have been going to this vet since the early 1980s and she has taken fantastic care of my animals. If you want a vet who thinks of animals as a calling and not just a pay check this is the vet for you!

If your looking for a professional, caring and friendly office this is it. Very budget friendly, nothing fancy, but our animals are only looking for a doctor and staff that truly cares about them and isnt trying to sell additional services and products. I cant say enough about how great this place is!

If I could, I would mark 100 stars for the wonderful care that Doc Overeem and the staff gave our kitty! He was on deaths door and her knowledge and skills saved him; and he just got a clean bill of health! Doc and the staff are so friendly and compassionate too! I cant say enough good things!
