The staff are extremely rude and unprofessional, the veterinarians are not available to answer questions or concerns. The owner of the clinic recommended treatment of allergy symptoms in my cat with Zyrtec, which has not been tested or approved for use in cats and therefore is not safe - because this seemed strange and unsafe to me, I am glad and relieved to say I did not give this to my cat. The owner, Dr. Suddeth, also failed to say anything to me about my cats dental health which was poor and I discovered this only when I looked at the notes from the visit where the box for "abnormal" was checked next to dental examination. I immediately went to another clinic and had her teeth cleaned and she had to have four extracted because they were decaying and had been causing her pain. The vets here also recommended Taste of the Wild cat food which contains fish and is very bad for cats as fish in their diet causes urinary problems such as kidney stones, which can become fatal, especially in male cats. If all this were not bad enough, this clinic shows their priority for money over their care of their patients by advertising on their kitten page about declawing (the unnecessary and agonizingly and chronically painful chopping off of cats toes at their first knuckle. Imagine a doctor chopping off the tops of your fingers and toes and expecting you to live like that, in chronic pain, for the rest of your life! Not only are declawed cats in constant pain, but they also have to walk on those amputated paws missing the tops of their toes). Terrible place. I recommend people keep their fur babies as far away as possible from these people.

It was difficult circumstances that brought me to Crestwood. My bunny was sick and my local vet said they were not equipped to treat her. After calling multiple small animals facilities and getting a huge run around, I finally got in touch with Crestwood and the vet advised me to bring my bunny to them immediately. Unfortunately, after the examination and x-rays, the determination was made that my bunny had advanced cancer and the best and most humane choice would be to put her down. While it was an incredibly difficult and painful decision, the vet and staff at Crestwood were amazing. They were sympathetic, gave me time to say goodbye to my girl, and were just very kind about the whole situation. A few weeks later I received a sympathy card in the mail and a plaster casting of Evies paw... I was touched beyond words by their consideration and that they would send me such a thoughtful memento even though it was the first and only time I had been to their facility. I have kept Crestwoods information, and I always advise people who are moving to the area to check them out. If I lived closer, they would become my primary vet for sure. It was a very sad and difficult situation that brought me to Crestwood, but the people there made such a huge impression on me, Id be happy to tell anyone that their pet is in safe and loving hands at their facility.

I cannot describe how wonderful the Crestwood Veterinary Hospital is. When you walk in the door, you are typically greeted by very pleasant and friendly staff. The lobby is spacious and open. Even when we have arrived early, we dont have to wait long to be seen. The technicians and veterinarians are always friendly, helpful, and understanding. They have passion for their work, and it shows. They are always willing to return phone calls if you have a question, and its never been difficult to get an appointment when we need one. While their prices are a little higher depending on the services (we have exotic animals), I find great comfort in knowing that my animal is getting a high level of care, and knowing that if any issues arise, they will do whatever they can to help our animals. The best advice I can give is to ask plenty of questions and be up front about your financial situation - they will always give you a list of their services if you are not sure if they will be within your budget, and they have never given me anything that was not absolutely necessary. I would highly recommend this veterinary hospital, especially if you have an exotic, because Dr. Gregory is very knowledgeable and her passion for saving animals is seen in her compassion for her patients, as well as with the rescue work she does.

This is the 2nd time around for me to bring my pets to Crestwood Veterinary Hospital. We lived in Crestwood In 2001-2002 and I found them to be the best care that I have received anywhere. We have lived in many states...CT, PA, IL, MI, and MD. We returned to Kentucky in 2010 and within a month I had my dog in for a checkup. The doctors are experts at what they do, the technicians are awesome at making you feel like your dog is going to be okay during the exam/visit, all of the upfront receptionists are very warm and welcoming - you dont want to leave the place with a welcome like that! And the boarding people are phenomenal! I feel very good with leaving my pet there for a week away on vacation. They take the time to talk with you when you drop your dog off instead of only filling out a form with what you need for your pet. They get down to the nitty gritty and want to know "how does your dog act during thunderstorms, can we tie a scarf around his neck with that has a special calming product in it?" "How is your dogs appetite - is he/she stressed while kenneling - can we provide probiotics on its food to prevent any gastrointestinal problems from happening?" This is "why" I love Crestwood Vet Hospital! I am so glad that I found them!!!

I did find them to be good; however, my Yorkie had seen the vet there almost monthly, including spaying, for the first year prior to time for the rabies vaccine. This office would not do a rabies vaccine without a comprehensive exam and well over $100. They knew our dog well and knew that a comprehensive exam was not needed in this particular case. Basically the office staff and the vet confirmed that this is the way they do things. I left for that reason, went to a vet who gave the rabies shot with a comprehensive exam for the cost of the rabies shot; introduced us to a wellness program that I wished I had known about this prior to using Crestwood Vet. We would have save hundreds. Our Yorkie gets great care where we are and for a wellness plan that covers everything but surgeries and some meds for $32/month; about $390 year. It also includes annual teeth cleaning. And, anything we havent needed that is included in the plan before the end of each year, we have done such as urinalysis, etc. We are over board about our dog, but know when someone is just trying to charge unnecessarily. We know a good value. We have a pampered Yorkie. She goes to the office, on vacation, etc. She is our baby.

We have 2 cats, Angel and Pixie, that we have always taken to Crestwood Veterinary Hospital for their routine care. Unfortunately, Angel was diagnosed in August 2014 with kidney disease which is usually terminal. She will be 7 years old in January, which is too young to develop such a horrible disease. I have been able to keep her alive and healthy totally due to the care she has received from the amazing CVH vets and the medicine she gets daily. I have to give her medicine 3 times a day for the rest of her life, which may be as long as 8 or 10 years and I have no problem with that. The CVH vets are very caring and, in Angels case, life-saving. While they are a little more expensive than some veterinarians in the area, they have a very modern, clean clinic plus the latest diagnostic equipment that I doubt most other vet clinics have. We lost a Yorkie back in 1998 to kidney disease and I am sure she would have lived, though maybe on medicine, had we had her now and taken her to CVH. I strongly recommend CVH to anyone with any pet they love and want to have the best vet care.
