My wife and I brought our elderly cat to Erlanger Vet Hospital and were very pleased with the staff and service. Heres a little background; Our cat had a stroke and was partially paralyzed. By the time we discovered the issue and could make decisions for his care it was late on a Friday. Weve had terrible experiences with emergency vets as they take advantage of customers and overcharge you because they know they have you! We called Erlanger Vet Hospital a half-hour before they closed for the day on a Friday. They were very kind to see our cat anyway. Other clinics told us to call an emergency vet. Long story short ... Dr. Nancarrow was very knowledgeable, compassionate and took the time to explain our cats condition and prognosis in plain terms and gave us the information we needed to ultimately make the heartbreaking decision to euthanize him. Dr. Nancarrow was very professional, caring and gentle. The rest of the staff was very kind and respectful. I cant thank them enough for their skills in navigating through such a delicate situation without making it feel like a visit through a fast food restaurant drivethrough. To top it off, a few days later in the mail, we received a sympathy card hand signed by the doctor and her staff. The people at Erlanger Vet Hospital are not just punching a clock and getting a paycheck ... They care and it shows.

The Doctors and Staff at Erlanger Veterinary Hospital are amazing. I feel that my animals always get great care when I take them in. I also feel that the Doctors and Staff really care about my animals. I first started seeing Dr. Hastings back in 1994 when I had a rabbit. He is an amazing vet and really cares. When I adopted my cats I brought them to Erlanger and they have seen all of the doctors there and I cant say enough wonderful things about the place! My one cat gets very upset when he has to go to the doctor. Dr. DeWees is very patient with him and takes her time making him feel comfortable. When I had the unfortunate event of my cat throwing a clot, they were very compassionate, patient and honest with me. Dr. DeWees got me through one of the hardest decisions (letting my best friend go) that Ive ever had to make in my life. The Doctors and Staff have always been so patient and understanding with me and my fur kids. I wouldnt trust another place with their care. I highly recommend Erlanger Vet Hospital.

After having an unpleasant experience with our vet, we decided to switch to Erlanger Vet Hospital. They were recommended to us by the respiratory specialist treating our English Bulldog puppy. We looked them up on the internet and found they were AAHA certified (Similar to Magnet status for hospitals) and decided to give them a try... we are VERY pleased. The staff is courteous and caring. The facilities are very clean and do not have that nasty smell associated with most vets (Including my last one). Our two bulldogs also act completely different, while waiting they no longer hide under the chair, they are playful and happy. As for the price, they are a little high, but Ive always subscribed to the you get what you pay for notion. Our previous vet was much cheaper and it showed in the care our pets received. Personally, if a couple hundred bucks will break you Im wondering if its not best that you find a home for your pet with more flexibility in the wallet.

I have brought 2 cats to this veterinary clinic. My bills were expensive and the exams were horrible. The one cat in particular was my stray. He was starving when I found him, or so I thought. I took him in twice to be examined and he wasnt getting better. I was told that he was fine and just needed some good food. I took him to another vet who told me he was not okay, simply by doing a physical exam. Blood tests hadnt even been run yet and they were telling me that they could not feel his thryoid, his kidneys were extremely small, etc. They said there was something seriously wrong with him. The vets at the Erlanger clinic just wanted my money and wanted to keep charging me for flea medicine, unnecessary vaccinations, etc. They dont care about your pets, they just want your money!

I moved to KY a couple years ago and I have tried multiple veterinary practices and was not satisfied with any of them. I passed Erlanger veterinary hospital and decided to give them a try. They are more expensive than any of the other veterinary practices I went to, and even those I called to get prices, but you know what they say "you get what you pay for". The other places were inexpensive but the hospitals were dirty, the staff was not professional/and or disorganized, and the doctors were not up to par. I will continue to go to Erlanger because I really like Dr. Dewees and the entire staff at Erlanger. I call and get through right away, the technicians are wonderful, and they give the kind of quality care I would want for myself.

My two dogs have been cared for here for years. The staff is always friendly and caring of the animals. I had to put my 12 1/2 year old dog to sleep today and the staff treated me wonderfully recognizing that my pet was truly part of my family. I dont think I would have been able to get through it without their support and sympathy. I did not have to go out to the lobby and pay and I did not have to go through the lobby to get to my car. They treated my dog as if he was their own. I have never had a bad experience at Erlanger Vet and believe me, my dogs have had many problems. I would not take my remaining pet anywhere else to be taken care of. I say cudos to all the doctors and staff for their caring and kind nature.

Erlanger Vet Hospital was recommended to me by my previous vet in Lexington. Ive been taking my dog, Lexi, to them since I moved here in 2009 and have been completely satisfied. I usually see Dr Vecchione and she is great! She always takes the time to explain things to me and answer any questions or concerns I have. Lexi is a senior dog and has some health issues and I feel like Dr Vecchione provides the extra care needed for Lexi to live a long and happy life. The staff is always friendly and the lobby and exam rooms are clean and smell fresh. I also use their grooming services and Christina always does a great job! Yes, they are a little more expensive but they are worth it and I wouldnt take Lexi anywhere else.

Through the years I have had various dogs and cats. They have always gone to the Erlanger Veterinary Hospital for their care, some of it just routine but some was of a serious nature. They have always had the best of care; and the people involved were concerned, knowledgeable, and caring people who would give immediate help when needed. I highly recommend them. Sincerely, Mary Ann Kincer

The doctors and staff at Erlanger Veterinary Hospital are the most loving and compassionate people I know. They not only are very professional, and thorough, but they are also caring and thoughtful individuals who really love your animals like you do. The staff understands that they are caring for someone who means a great deal to you. I am very happy with the care I receive there.
