I would not recommend boarding your dog here! I made a reservation online after visiting in person, and called the day before drop off to confirm pricing. I dropped my dog off the next day only to be told he HAS to receive the K9 influenza series to be boarded. NO mention of this up front after they had his compete records provided. They charged $50+ for the first shot alone! This is a "gotcha!" they tacked on when Im standing at the counter ready to leave. Its only effective if he gets the series of shots- which they admit- but he HAD to have just the first one for their in-house boarding requirement?? They forced me to remove his harness and attempted to control him on a small slip leash when I dropped him off. When I picked my dog up he was noticeably stiff as a board and it is clear he did not get something soft to lay on or the extra play time I paid extra for. I also noticed after picking him up audible creaking and popping in his joints. It took three days of exercise and physical therapy to get him back to himself!! My pooch is a former police K9 recruit and deserves at least what I paid for. He had a knee surgery and extensive PT earlier this year and it was infuriating that he regressed so much in just 5 days under their "care." They filled out a "report card" of behaviors but I assure you knowing this dog for 6 years, this paper is nothing more than a forged sense of security and was completely inaccurate. Today in the mail I get an "important reminder" that he is overdue for vaccines (NOT true- another lie!) and the next shot for flu. This was after I had to argue with the receptionist that he doesnt need a new vet, they were to simply board him. Look out back and check them out better before letting your animal stay here. I sure as hell wish I did. They have no play area; are very near the busy Rt. 4 highway, dishonest employees, pricing games, steer clear!!

We recently moved here from Tennessee and our new puppy had become Ill and this was the closest vet to our new home. We were told up front the price for exam of our sick puppy was about 45-50$, however when the checkup was finished, having no services other than that performed, the bill they gave us was well over 100$ with no prior warning or notice that the exam would be literally 2.3x higher than quoted up front. In addition they said she needed further treatment and wanted to keep her there for up to a week and wanted another 800$ for that, and wanted the money in advance! They refused to offer any sort of payment plans or financing options, and actually said to my wife "we are sorry but this is the best we can do our hands are tied", and when my wife got upset they heartlessly told her "well if you cant afford or cant pay those amounts up front then maybe you should just take the puppy home to die since you obviously cant afford to have or care for her in the first place. We are not a welfare program and we dont care what your budget concerns are, if youre interested in a cheaper option or payment plans then may i suggest dropping the puppy off at a shelter and walking away, we are here to run a business and make a profit period, if you loved your pet you would find a way to pay our prices. What do you think we are a free clinic?" From the moment we walked in the nurses and the vet were very rude and the whole time acted like it was more of a chore and a hassle to even look the puppy.

They blocked me on Facebook so I had my friend post the review If I could give them a zero I would . All this place cares about is money . They kicked my animal out ; and never came up with a diagnosis. Office manager said he wouldnt make it through the night and she didnt want to go to work the next day and deal with a dead cat ! Diagnosed him with diabetes then told me he didnt have diabetes the next morning . Said maybe an infection ? Claims they gave him an antibiotic but when I called in they say he didnt get an oral antibiotic ..... then supposedly that the doctor did but didnt put it on his chart ? They told me that they stopped treating him due to my funds ; so they are letting my cat die and kicked him out instead of letting him stay for 3 days until I could pay more . Countryside animal hospital took him with no issues and are now giving him the care he deserves .

I decided to sign up for the Wellness Plan when I got my puppy in November because I wanted to have the option to bring her in for an exam when she gets sick, without having to worry about additional costs. Up until now, that has seemed like a great decision because when she was a few months old, she contracted an intestinal parasite which required several visits and rounds of antibiotics to get rid of completely. Now, they are charging an additional $15 fee (in addition to the $28 per month we already pay) if we want to bring her in on a Sunday. She was vomiting and had diarrhea all night last night, but SEEMS to be okay now. Despite choosing to get the Wellness Plan so we could have peace of mind in these situations, now I have to weigh the cost of taking her against the potential cost of not. I am decidedly not happy about this recent policy change.

I am giving 1 star because the staff is very nice. We boarded our dog there one-time in the Fairfield site.. Having looked at their website we saw that they had raised beds, playtime and we booked the days/nights. When we got there to leave our dog, we found out that these things were not available at Fairfield, though you pay the same. Since we left our dog, we are constantly receiving reminders that our dog is due for vaccines, one of which is not recommended to give your pet because the chances of contracting the disease is very rare and if contracted is very treatable. We are very happy with our current vet and will not go back here. Id like to mention that we have several friends who do take their animals here and really love it. We just did not have a happy experience.

Do not hesitate to visit the Animal Care Center in Fairfield, Ohio! Dr. Wendy has been my vet there, and we have had the best of care. The entire staff is friendly, compassionate, and always take the time to listen to your concerns. The vet techs- I love them all! The rooms are always clean, service is prompt and my furbabies are always treated as if they were their own. You can get in for an appointment very quickly, and they never rush you through, giving your pet and you what you need. They are just great caring people. I love going there, really, it is like seeing family.

In August, our dog was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma, bone cancer. We brought him because he had a small bump on his leg and was limping a bit. Dr. Monika and her staff were wonderful. It was not something we were expecting to hear so it took us by surprise and we were very upset and emotional. They were kind, caring and considerate and went over all of our treatment options for Gunnar. She even called us later that week to see how we were doing. Anytime I go into refill his medication everyone is very nice. I would highly recommend Animal Care Center of Fairfield.
