Has seen my dog since I got her, 2005-06 and when I moved back to KY 2010-current. Has always been extremely nice, informative and answers all my questions without making me feel patronized or silly. He and I joke around a lot and I also know one of the techs/receptionists and she is very nice. Appointments are made easily and often VERY quickly--next day or within a week at most. The staff remembers me and knows my dog, they handle her gently (she is nervous there) and I am always involved in the procedures and treatments without being pushed aside or my dog being ushered to the back so I cant see what theyre doing. Dr. Huesing has a good sense of humor and I have had excellent treatment from everyone there--if I bring my dog in for something small or doesnt require extensive care he sometimes waives the office visit fee and I pay for the medication only. Only thing of note is he doesnt do as thorough an examination as could be done sometimes and things could be missed, so go in knowing what you want done and remind him if you feel he hasnt checked it out to your satisfaction and dont be afraid to assert yourself if you think the treatment isnt the right one. He wont bite and wont act offended, but he is sometimes in a hurry so just let him or staff know if you arent sure. Would recommend, absolutely, but everyones experiences will vary.

I Love this place we have taken all 3 of our dogs there and will not go anywhere else. He truly cares for our dogs as does his staff. I can walk in and he will take a look at them most of the time without any charge. If you see him on the street or at the hosp while his Daughter was having a baby he and his staff made it a point to come over to us to make sure everything was ok on our end. This is a man that when my 14 year old lab had to be put to sleep due to her organs shutting down and having seizures, he let me stay in the room with her for over an hour, with other patients waiting to be seen. He is a very compassionate person with animals.I would never ever take my pets to anyone else! I can call on the phone, and they will get me in that day. they will answer my questions over the phone. I would not trust my dogs with anyone else! The prices are very reasonable. The staff treats your pets as if they were their own. When my lab passed not only did I cry, but so did they. After 6 visits of $80.00 plus charges for NOTHING. My pet nearly died and was saved by an emergency vet clinic finding a pervasive and SEVERE Bacterial Virus. Not ONCE did they ever do blood work, despite us deliberately asking multiple times. At first I thought they were trying to save us money which I appreciated. However, I quickly learned that they were never motivated to do ANYthing other than give anti-biotics, aspirin and shots of cortisone. My dog was dying and only received pain shots and small dose antibiotics to hide the symptoms. I am mortified and this place should be closed. If only I had listened to people in the dog parks who had warned us.

Dr. huesing really surprised me forcefully smacking my dog across her face while he was trying to examine her. Dr Huesing was using all his might to restrain my dog for an examination of her mammary glands, she would have complied with a simple "roll over", but when he tried to flip her, she nipped, and he smacked the living hell out of her. Would never recommend anyone even giving the time of day to this man, he is a sick individual who treats you or your animal with no dignity or respect. I walked out free of charge because the assistant helping was so embarrassed on the clinics behalf.

Took my golden to a different, local vet for years and always left feeling like I was over charged, pushed into unnecessary services, and that overall my dog was just a quota. This is not the case with Dr. Huesing and his practice. He and his staff are very compassionate, professional, and the services are reasonably priced. They have a wonderful bedside manner, and demonstrate an eagerness to help when your pet is in need. Huesing Veterinary Clinic is a true asset to the community, and Im very lucky my sister suggested I switch vets.

Friend of mine let me know about Dr. Huesing and his staff and took in my Kyra Nicole today. She wasnt feeling very good and 3 hours later, shes back to being my good ol Kyra with a twinkle in her eye. Very friendly staff and very caring. Nothing really wrong with my 15 year old, just needed a booster shot. Would highly recommend them to anybody.

Dr. Heusing has been our families trusted Vet for over 15 years so when I became a dog owner myself it was my obvious choice to entrust my boxer Boomer to Dr. Huesing. This is not just a Vet this is a man with a true passion for animals and their welfare. Highly recommended! A true patriot for animals!

A friend of mine recommended Dr. Huesing and I am so glad she did. I was able to take my cat in for a visit 30 minutes after contacting the clinic. Everyone was extremely caring and friendly. Very reasonably priced!! I will be returning with the rest of my animal crew:)

Wouldnt even give one star, horrible treatment. No compassion! No care or empathy from the doctor! I feel as if they abused my dog when we werent around! Find another vet!
