Took my 8-year-old cat here for an examination because she was having trouble walking, was visibly thinner, and seemed to have issues with her vision. The vet who examined her claimed they were not quite sure what was wrong with her (her lab work and x-rays all came back normal...or so they claimed). Additionally, when my concern about my cats eyesight and limp were brought up, the vet quickly dismissed these issues (after merely shining a light in my cats eyes and alleging that she did not "seem" to be in any physical pain) stating that she could see and was fine. The vet then proceeded to prescribe all sorts of medications and shots in what appeared to be a grasping-at-straws attempt to treat the various symptoms as opposed to getting to the root of the actual problem. Fast forward to nearly a week later: my family and I took my cat to an emergency vet clinic only to discover that she had gone completely blind in both eyes and was suffering from lymphoma, which had spread to her kidneys, spinal cord, and urinary bladder (causing the limp we had noticed earlier). I understand that cancer is hard to diagnose, particularly through mere x-rays and bloodwork; however, I truly wish that the vet and other staff at Allatoona had taken our concerns more seriously. Had the appropriate actions been taken in time, we could have sought the proper treatment for my cat instead of simply wasting precious time with the wild guesses that were made. Whats worst is that once the cancer was confirmed by the emergency clinic, we experienced such a difficult time in trying to have the vet contact us to determine what appropriate actions could be taken for a treatment plan. We would leave messages upon messages with the clinic, only to get the round-around, and the vet either calling us back at close of business, or two business days later. It became evident that these folks had washed their hands of the situation and written my cat off as a loss. We eventually chose to go elsewhere to start her treatment. Absolutely LOUSY customer service and inadequate staff. I will never bring a beloved pet here again.

I took my 1 year old blue pit, Kaiser, into Allatoona Animal Hospital not by choice, but by luck. They were the only vet able to see my baby boy on a busy Saturday afternoon. What I thought would be a fairly easy and normal vet visit would be turned into the possibility that I might not leave with baby. Dr. Landau diagnosed Kai with IMHA, immune mediated hemolytic anemia. We were told that Kaiser would most likely have to have a blood transfusion to survive. Since it was the weekend we had to bring Kaiser over to the Cherokee emergency vet to stay through the weekend until Monday. When we were checking Kai into the ER vet, Dr. Landau called them to make sure we made it and to discuss Kaisers condition with them. Every day Dr. Landau called me personally to check in on not only how Kaiser was progressing, but also to make sure that my husband and I were ok and to make sure we didnt have any questions. He has continued to check in everyday with me since we were able to bring Kaiser home that following Monday and we have been continuing follow up check ins with Dr. Landau and the amazing staff at Allatoona Animal Hospital. The staff at A.A.H. has done nothing but welcome our family into theirs and I know that they truly care about my Kaiser and his health. I even got a personal card in the mail today thanking me for entrusting them to care for my dog. How awesome is that?!? I knew that they would be my dogs forever vet as soon as I walked through their doors. I owe my sweet Kaisers life to Dr. Landau and to all the AMAZING staff at A.A.H. They saw me as a person who loves their dog/child, not as a big dollar sign walking inside. If you happen to get as lucky as I did and decide to try out A.A.H, you and your fur babies will not be disappointed!

I drive 20 minutes beyond the vet I used to take my dogs just to take her to this clinic. They offer holistic/homeopathic treatment options along with the traditional vet care which is an option I personally like, and Dr. Wansky has continuously helped me find a balance that works best for my doggie. I have had appointments with Dr. Smith, Dr. Hiland, and Dr. Wansky, and they were all WONDERFUL. They each took the time to answer all my questions. Dr. Hiland performed my dogs dental cleaning and extraction, and she has a warm and gentle personality which helped put me and my dog at ease. Dr. Smith (and the others too) have given me very helpful detailed voice messages (when I missed heir return calls) when I needed additional instruction and she is so kind and upbeat. Dr. Wansky has kept in contact with me via email to help me through my dogs itching, kidney, arthritis issues, which makes me feel she really cares and helps me feel more at ease, because she is willing to take the time to read and respond each time. Why I like them: -They take the time to ensure I get all my questions answered. -The atmosphere is supportive and full of positive attitudes. -They accept CareCredit which allows for no interest repayment options (I think its if the purchase is over $200) -They offer great support via phone and email to help me between appointments so I dont have to bring her in for every little thing. -Spacious waiting/lobby area. -Clean -You can see any of the doctors there and know you will have a good appointment. -Clean private human restrooms I recommend.

Dear Future Patients and their Owners, I have been a client of Allatoona Animal Hospital since the late 1990s. That longevity should speak volumes about the excellent level of care that my rescue animals have always received by Dr. Wansky and the staff at Allatoona. I lived in Kennesaw until Aug. 2005 but I still consider Allatoona "my vet" and not only continue to take my numerous rescue animals to Dr. Wansky, I have referred many residents of Bent Tree Community, Jasper, GA , where I now live, to Dr. Wansky and they are as impressed with Allatoona as I always have been. So many of my friends pets are alive, thriving and walking because of her care and expertise in acupuncture. Just take a look at their web site for a story of one of my close friends dog, Duncan, who was ready for a "cripple cart" before Dr. Wansky performed acupuncture on him. He now RUNS after squirrels! I am so impressed with the entire facility, I often beg them to go into human medicine so they could treat me as well as they have treated and cared for my many, many rescue pets. There are vets and then there is Allatoona. Simply put: The best vet clinic I have ever been to ! EVER! Patsy J. I love Allatoona Animal Hospital. When I moved to Kennesaw, I tried several different vets. All of them came highly recommended. But when I met Dr. Wansky, I knew I had found our family vet, or our pediatrician, as I call her. My senior German Shepherd, Lulu, was having a lot of mobility issues. Dr. Wansky was knowledgeable about and able to provide a number of alternative treatments--acupuncture, chiropractic, and herbal remedies--that I could use in conjunction with the Deramaxx. She even recommended water therapy that worked miracles. Dr. Wansky really improved Lulus quality of life. At the end of Lulus life, Dr. Wansky sweetly helped us with the transition. Today, I trust Dr. Wansky and Allatoona Animal Hospital with the care of my two fur children. Honestly, when I call to make an appointment, Im happy to have an appointment with any of the wonderful vets who work there. The front desk staff are always friendly, and the vet techs are so very good to our pups. Allatoona even matched us with our boy dog after rescuing him--and he runs into the office every visit and tries to jump over the front desk to express his gratitude. Its a great place.
