I had an appointment to get a 24-hour heart monitor. I waited over 30 minutes. When I asked the receptionist what was taking so long, she said it would be just a few more minutes. I went back up to the front desk after 15 minutes and the black haired receptionist said, They know youre waiting and theres no one available. By this point, it was their lunch hour!! I told her my time was valuable and they could contact me when they had time to see me. I called my referring physician, they asked me to go back upstairs to BG Cardiology because I needed the monitor. I did. There were six people in the receptionist area loudly talking about me. I was rewarded with several death glares. The black haired woman put the monitor on, lips tightly compressed - all without saying a single word, other than, Dont get this wet, turn it off after 24-hours and return to reception. Their sign at the front desk reads, You are the most important visitor on our premises ... I certainly wasnt made to feel as though I were important at all. Instead, I was treated like a total inconvenience and problem child. Im not impressed.

Dr. Monnin and staff are great. Waited less then 5 minutes to go back and maybe 5 minutes before Dr. Monnin came in. He spent about 30 minutes actually listening to me and then took the time address everything I was questioning and feeling. He recommended a plan and made me feel very confident that we were going to get to the bottom of my issues and eliminate every possibility. About a year ago I went to another Cardiologist in Frankfort and in 5 minutes I was put on a medication I didnt need and went through several test only to schedule more with nothing but a fear of a massive heart attack to take home. Dr. Monnin is a great cardiologist and takes the time to educate you on the process and how we will go through each test to determine what is needed next. With an end goal of a healthy active life.

I have been going to Bluegrass Cardiology for 3-4 years now and would highly recommend them to anyone needing this type of service. The staff is extra friendly and caring toward their patients. I have never had to wait more than 5 minutes beyond my appointment time. The physicians and assistants have never been in a hurry during my exam. They have always answered my questions and concerns in a language that is understandable. I have, at one time or another, used the services of each member of the team at Bluegrass Cardiology Consultants and have been very impressed with their knowledge and professionalism.

Every time I visit Dr. Monnin I am always met with pleasant, happy people at the check-in desk. I never have to wait more than 10 minutes to get in to have my echo done and usually go right in to the doctors office as soon as I am finished. Dr. Monnin always explains everything that is going on with my heart in language that I can understand. He never seems rushed when he is in with me and I always leave with a very positive feeling about the entire appointment.

I have been going to see Danny Thacker, PA for a few years now. I must say they run a very efficient office. Danny always takes the time to answer any questions I might ask. He is very personable and easy to always strike up a conversation. I never feel rushed at all! My wait time has never been longer than 10 minutes.
