This one star is directed to the infusion center suit 302 not at the hospital its self. I have been a patient at this location as well as my significant other who has had surgeries here and always been treaded with the up most respect and care. As of today this place has made me feel like never returning to any Norton practice of any sort. I had an appointment this morning in which I could not eat or drink all night last night and this morning I had to take off work and my mother as well to drive 45 minutes to be told they canceled my appointment and nobody let me know. I feel like people in that office judged me and stereotyped me. Julia behind the desk is a gem shes rude and clueless and the staff didnt like it when I told them I didnt work there and I didnt need to do their job for them. Then I wait for Karen the manager in that department for her to over look me as well and ignore me and walk off while I was talking. After all this occurred I found my self down stairs with a nurses manager and she by far tried to make me feel like a human and as if I mattered. I thank her for that. But for you two women at the infusion center you should be ashamed of your self and demoted. You are the people that do not belong in health care you are the rude ones nobody likes or can stand you are passive and ignorant to ones health issues. If Nortons cares about the way their patients are made to feel you may want to think about re training these females on respect because they have none. Im absolutely disgusted in the way this place has made me feel and prolonged me to get help. I will continue to spread the word of this and contact everyone who should be contacted. And once again whats Nortons moto. Lol you know what it is. And I did not feel like that...... Mission vision and values Do not exist here and everyone one here is saying the Sam things obviously there is a problem

I, by no means represent the hospital, however, I do work there. I have worked at many facilities over the years and never have I been compensated for touting it on high, whether it be UK, UofL, the hospital formerly known as Suburban, or Mainland Medical Center in Texas City, TX. But I can say, with certainty, this facility stands out in a lot of areas, where many fall flat. For one, the majority of the patient population I come in contact with, as well as their families, far and away LOVE this facility. I work in a higher acuity area in the facility and can honestly say I have never had an encounter with a patient or family that was dissatisfied with their stay or their care in nearly 1.5 years employment there. Im sorry for those who have had bad encounters at the facility. I cant account for those, at all, other than to say Im sorry. But I cant endorse a facility any more strongly than this, if my family member were admitted there, I would feel good about that decision. It is a smaller facility, there are bad apples in nearly every group of professionals, people have bad days etcetera. I think it unfair to classify or generalize an entire facility on the experiences individuals have had with such a small portion of the population there. But youre certainly entitled to it and I, for one, will take your comments and try to ensure a better stay for those individuals that I encounter in the future. Again, thanks for your feedback and your honesty, and again, Im sorry your stay(s) was/were unsatisfactory. We can do better Im sure, no one is perfect. Have a blessed day.

My shoes, shirt and jacket were taken while at the ER and they could not locate them when it was time for me to leave, so I was given scrubs to wear home, with no shoes. They called a taxi for me to leave (barefoot) but the taxi never showed - they would not help me continue calling for a cab. Around 2AM the fire alarms sounded. Personnel (including Security personnel) did not know what the procedures were in the event of a fire. I asked Security what the patients upstairs were supposed to do that were not ambulatory and one guard said, "I dont care - do you?" Front desk personnel had no idea what the evacuation procedures were and said they never had a drill. One security guard asked me, "When did you ever see a hospital burn down?" Their security staff is comprised of temps who were not familiar with fire/emergency practices. There were no signs posted anywhere where the exits were (stairs). So if youre a patient there, educate yourself because the hospital has not. Good luck.

Went into the ER for severe lower back pain that had been going on for about three days. I had tried Tylenol as well as heat and ice. Yet the pain kept increasing. I made a call to my primary care who couldnt see me until Friday. Tonight I had had it with the pain I couldnt sleep or even lay down the pain was so intense I even felt numbness and tingling in my right leg. I though maybe the ER could help me figure out whats wrong and at least help the pain until I see my doc Friday. This was by far the worst ER visit I have ever had. I got there around midnight and wasnt seen until 4am. Only for a doctor to come in real fast and tell me he is doing X-rays. He didnt even ask about the pain or where it was at. He treated me as if I was some junkie looking for pain killers. Then the nurse came in said I had a pinched nerve and gave me a muscle relaxer. She asked me to wait in the waiting room after she gave me meds. Absolutely ridiculous how I was treated. I will never go back here!

Why cant I give a zero star. Do not go to Norton healthcare facilities. Their billing department has zero competence. 1st the emergency department will not will actually bill the customer or their insurance company (apparently they are not actually even connected with Norton Healthcare). These quacks are contractors to Norton that couldnt give two sh*&^s about looking cohesive with an enterprise. 2nd beware, Norton hospital will bill you separately, decide they dont want to deal with your insurance and total costs and will want to rebill you the full amount again (for those on a high deductible plan). Think the millions that Norton spent on software for patient records will help their billing department know that they are trying to bill a customer twice..... think again. Think twice before getting into a financial battle with Norton as they are terrible to deal with, maybe Jewish can do better with their billing department.

The one & only MOST ABUSIVE/RUDEST hospitals I have ever had the TRAGEDY/MISFORTUNE of running into. Triage RN - Nicole (if that is even her name) had WRONGLY ACCUSED me "of not wheezing" DISMISSED MY SYMPTOMS even after I was brought in by ambulance & provided oxygen & saturated O2 levels en route. As if that WASNT ENOUGH - she had also refused to even provide me her name after an excruciating 5hrs wait in the waiting room so I could file a complaint !!! Nurse supervisor - Ashley, RN - came in & started putting words in my mouth that I was lying. Triage RN - Nicole (if that is even her name) had also ganged up on a poor patient w/ her tech - Marshall (if that is even his name) & started harassing/insulting me in the waiting room. NEVER GO TO THIS HOSPITAL EVEN IF YOURE DYING...NOT ONLY WILL THEY WATCH YOU DIE...THEYLL TELEPHONE THE POLICE ON YOU. TAKE MY ADVICE AS A PATIENT & GO SOMEWHERE ELSE IF ITS FARTHER AWAY.
