Very disappointing when I take my mother to the ER at 9:30 pm with difficulty breathing with COPD & CHF. The physician comes in and the first thing she says is if you would have came earlier or come back in the morning I could treat you better by getting ahold of your specialist but we will run test. EKG. Labs, x-ready. X-ray showed fluid buildup but her lab is ok. They gave 1dose of LASIK & a breathing treatment. She comes back in and says that This hospital is small, we have no ICU bed And no cardiologist here so theres no reason for me to admit you here because your a high risk patient and you need to go to your cardiologist in the morning. Heres a prescription for a inhaler (In which she already has) And its not that I dont want to treat you, you need to be seen by specialist. Thats it and your discharged..:-( 2 days later we are being admitted to Baptist . I dont care how small you are , theres no excuse. She could have been transferred to where we ended up anyhow. No Worries We wont be back to Tallasse Hospital!!!!!

They could care less about the patients that come to them for medical help, they are only concerned with collecting high co-pays and how well they can show their rude attitudes towards patients when they cant afford the co-pays at the time of exams/ x-rays, even though a lot of us have good insurance, we still cant afford the co-pays or we have so many high co-pays and we live pay check to pay check till its hard to pay each one at time of each visit. This is still no reason for the hospital staff to refuse treatment or to get rude with any patient, to them its all about money and not about the care of the patient. I wouldnt go back to this Hospital for any treatment what so ever, Tallassee Hospital is the worst place to go for medical treatment of any kind.

The staff at this hospital are all patient, kind and extremely thorough. My mother was admitted to the hospital via an emergency visit and had to spend five days here. She was treated with the utmost respect and received the care she needed to be relieved of the problems she was experiencing with her heart. Even from Atlanta, I was able to have an extensive phone conversation with a nurse on my mothers status and was even able to provide medical history on my mother that was documented and used in determining the future care that she needed. My mother and I are both pleased with the hospital the service.

This is my first and last visit to this hospital if I can call it that..my son has pink eye and we have been waiting for at least 3 hours there are only like 6 rooms available I guess... and the staff could care less about the patients and on top of that every staff member that I came in contact with was extremely rude....worst hospital visit ever....DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT INVOLVE YOUR PROBLEMS WITH THIS PLACE

I was delivered there after tornado 2011 in Eclectic, AL and my life was saved by the grace of God, the knowledge of the staff, care I received, and overall kindness of the entire staff. As with any place that deals with the public you will come across a jerk or two no and then. Report them to you doctor or hospital board, they are paid to be nice. God Bless.

You might as well start digging a hole for whoever youre taking to this hospital. Staff is rude as hell and the doctors are a joke. The hospital is falling apart. Its outdated. I wouldnt get a band-aid put on my body by either one of the nurses. All that can be said about the hospital is that its a great place to put an actual hospital. 1 visit and youll see

Gave me codeine. I had a full body reaction with hives and rashes. They refused to prescribe anything else. I called and called and told them I was scratching the skin off my body and they said "take benadryl" (i dont have a car) so now its a night of hell and who knows how long it will last.

I think the only reason this hospital remains open is because its primary patients are those sent from the local nursing homes to die. Its pretty telling when even in an emergency, people will still take the extra (and very precious) time to go to Opelika or Montgomery.
