if you have a special breed dog do not bring your animal here. I had a Great Dane and brought him there many years and under strong recommendation from the vet I decided to have him neutered. He was brought in first thing in the morning for the surgery and when he was sent home later that evening he seemed a little off but they said it was just the anastasia wearing off two hours later he fell out DEAD. The vet said that he had never had that happen before. After research I found out that the breed i had was very sensitive to certain types of anastasia and at later years the chances were much higher. The vet never mentioned any of this to me and acted like it would be no big deal to do the surgery. Little did I know that he was a very misinformed vet who did not do his job or research on certain breeds and treated them all the same. Although he was very apologetic he accepted no responsibility for his mistake and im sure they are still practicing the same way. I havent been back since. If you want a clinic that actually cares about your animal you might want to try sherwood animal hospital the price is a little higher but i would have paid any amount to keep what happened to my dog from happening. Use at your pet risk.

Dr. Varnado and Dr. Graham have been treating my dogs for the past 4 years, and they both have done a fantastic job with them. When they were getting neutered, they went over all the surgery information and prices with me to put my mind at ease while they had them. When I would come in to purchase monthly products, the staff was always impeccably nice. I have NO complaints and HIGHLY recommend this clinic to anyone who is looking for a friendly and compassionate veterinarian.

We recently got a pup so I called around for prices. The receptionist informed me for all his shots including rabies it was $80. So after we do the shots he has to go back for more in 3 weeks... And they are $44... I thought it was included? Nope! I got the impression of better than you attitudes. They were irritated with phone calls and people asking questions. Ill do his next shots but probably find someone else...

My pets have seen Dr. Varnado for the past 22 years. I have already been pleased with the service. I feel like Dr. Varnado is a good christian man. He is honest, trustworthy and very knowledgeable. We would not trust our beloved family members with another vet. In emergency situations he is a calming presence.

Our deaf cat was hit by a four wheeler, that races up and down our street. His hind leg was crushed and was left with a spinal injury. We just moved to Walker so had not yet established with a veterinarian, she was kind and caring to Sammy, my husband and me. We definitely plan to bring our dogs there.
