It is nearly impossible to contact a human at this office, or to have anyone call you back or do follow-up. An answering service ends up taking most of the incoming calls. They dont work directly for the office, and cant answer even the most basic of questions. They are supposed to pass information to the office and the office staff is supposed to call you back. Its a hit-or-miss process that usually misses. Ive attempted contact 7 times trying to make 2 separate appointments, got 1 call-back that led to 1 actual appointment. This process is as cumbersome as it is ineffective. Do better. You get 1 star. The doctor I saw was not the most personable physician Ive worked with. She was curt and never really made eye contact. OK, thats fine. I can deal with that if shes really good. However, she showed little interest in me as a patient and little professional curiosity. Others have complained about really short appointments and I agree. I had to stop her twice to come back and look at all the things I had made the appointment for. For the small amount of time I had her attention, she seemed to know what she was doing. Her kids may have been sick that day or she may have been as frustrated with her office staff as I was, so Im open to trying again. You get (a generous) 3 stars. Overall rating is 2 stars. Annapolis has some world class health care and this kind of experience is really unusual. If I can ever schedule another appointment and have a different experience, Ill modify this review. Im looking for another office in the meantime. Hope they can untangle this mess.

After waiting weeks for an appointment, I arrived early (and it was pointed out that I was early). Filled out paperwork, to include one document that asked about communication of care/treatment preferences, along with a sentence stating something along the lines that the clinic doesnt have to respect those preferences...so whats the point?! Ten minutes after my scheduled appointment time, I went to the desk to tell the THREE women sitting there that I would wait only 5 more minutes before leaving. I was then asked if I wanted to pay my co-pay (yeah, get real) and someone scurried to check the wait status (vs doing it prior). At the 15 minute mark I tell them Im leaving and one scurries once again to return to tell me there was a problem of some sort with the previous patient. (One would think with THREE women at the desk, one would be on top of the schedule and advising waiting patients.) Now nearly 20 minutes past my appointment time...I leave. Im actually disappointed in my self for not thinking to ask them to pay me for my time. If every patient refused to wait (thats the key, folks, dont pay up front and LEAVE if not seen as scheduled) and/or demanded compensation for delays, perhaps this clinic would give a damn. On a side note, the waiting area is as dingy and uninviting as one can possibly make it.

My daughter tried to schedule an appointment - it was absolutely impossible to reach a human on the phone - she left messages & tried throughout the day - no-one returned her call - she finally got thru. The day before her apptmt I noticed a growth that became very painful for me & quite frankly was afraid. My daughter offered me her appointment, as it was again impossible for me to reach anyone so I could schedule an appointmt, she called all day yesterday, leaving messages, no-one got back to her. I tried again today, and have spent over an hr & a half, holding & then being told, after waiting 10-15 min, that no-one could take my call, please leave a message. I kept calling back, with the same results. Because I NEEDED to be sure theya had received my daughters message as well as mine - I kept calling. NO-one should have to go thru this kind of service to reach someone in the office. Someone internally NEEDS TO KNOW what is happening & to rectify it immeditely.

I walked in and the big black lady that sits at the reception desk did not acknowledge me when I walked in. She acknowledge everyone else after me. I thought that was very rude of her. I could understand if she was busy but she was busy gossiping with the other lady in the office. I usually expect a welcoming attitude in any establishment. Someone needs to train her on being more attentive towards incoming patients. Plus the nurse that took my vitals was in the doctor room the whole time while I was discussing my issues. I didnt like that. Granted she works for the doctor but still ...could I get a little privacy especially when discussing my personal concerns with the doctor. Jeesh!

This was the WORST doctors visit ever. First thing when I got there they asked for a referral, well I dont go to the doctor that much and they never said anything about a referral . My kind GP doctor did fax one over after about 15 min. Then after waiting 45 min, some office manager comes out and asks for $242 or they will refuse to see me. I did not have the money at the time and was suffering tremendously with a rash that they failed to cure me of in the past. They are all money mongers that have no business being in business...they could care less about their patients suffering. They not only extended my care, they have no respect for their patients.

Scheduled an appointment for a full body mole check. After waiting for 45 min to be seen, the mole check lasted less than 4 minutes and was not nearly as thorough asa any of my previous checks at other dermatologists. No pics were taken, nothing as looked at under my under garments and no magnifying glasses were used. Every concern I had was minimized. I went to another derm appt three weeks later for a rash and that derm said I need to have a precancerous mole removed. Dont go here.

I made an appointment for a full body check and a look at something on my cheek. After waiting 45 minutes past my appointment, they looked at my cheek for a second and wanted to sende away with a prescription and to come back for my full body check. With no insurance and no desire to take oral medication to treat something that wasnt an issue, I was charged an arm and a leg and treated like a dumb hippy. Ill never go back there.

I saw the doctor for maybe 5 minutes. Had two skin tags removed -- one sent to pathology and the bill was almost $700 (less than $100 was pathology). Dont know how much this compares to other local dermatology clinics but I really feel ripped off.
