FRONT OFFICE STAFF are miserable customer service representatives. During my first visit, I scheduled an appointment 6 months later for both my son (8 yrs. old) & myself, being a single parent, I requested that we both have an appointment the same day so that I only need to take 1 day of work off. After the appointment clerk attempted to schedule us 2 different days, I had to re-emphasize that I need to make an appointment for both of us the same day - so, she complied relunctantly. The day of the appointment, Dental One calls me and informs me that the dental hygeniest called out sick - this is less than 3 hours notification. When attempting to re-schedule, the appointment clerk wants me to bring my son in next Wednesday (today is Friday), providing my employer with less than 2 weeks notification & that I would have to re-schedule myself another day. Lets see - this is now 3 days taking off work to receive a teeth cleaning. Now, if it were me cancelling with less than 3 hours of notification - they would charge me. I replied to the appointment clerk that I understand that the staff person called out sick, but I should not be penalized and that if they were "full" they need to find someone else who can accomodate the "back-2-back" appointment - this is called "customer service." The clerk replied that she would have her manager call me back. When the "manager" called me back about an hour later - first, she states that she was "busy" with another patient & that I hung up on her clerk. I replied that her clerk did not want to deal with me & that is why she had to call me back & that I was still on the phone when her clerk hung up. The "manager" stated that she was standing behind the clerk when she was on the phone with me the whole time. These people are lying - clearly they do not need any business and if you want to be treated poorly - then go ahead - make an appoinment with these folks. I am firing them - I am positive there are other dentists in Maryland who will provide good customer service in exchange for my money.

I feel bad for the Dentist, hes loosing patients because of the rudeness of the front office staff/manager and their unwillingness to work with you. Customer service at its worst!! I changed my dentist to this office last December. I called and was told that I wouldnt be on their roster until January and that I should call back then. I was upset that I had to wait 3 weeks but my old dentist was retiring. Since I work all day and go to school at night, I wasnt able to call again until last Wednesday, 1/25/12. I was asked a few questiosn and was told that the person who handles my ins, Cigna Dental isnt in. They took my name/number and said shed give me a call. I still hadnt received a call so today, I called again. I was told that I could have an appt on 3/14 but thats just a consult. Ill have to wait an additional 6 weeks after my consult to get my teeth cleaned. I asked if I could just make both appts now and was told no, they need to determine what type of cleaning I need. They were very unwilling to budge and when I spoke to the Manager, she was even worse. She didnt even try to make me (the customer) happy. Ive never posted on here, Im so unhappy that I created an account just for this. If you go there, youll be as frustrated as I am...avoid it.

This would be a great dentist office if only they found some way to increase their staff to accommodate their level of business. It is incredibly frustrating to schedule appointments, due to the fact that options are always very limited. Usually, you have to schedule at least six months out. This isnt so bad once you get yourself on a rotation, where you schedule your next appointment on the way out from your last appointment. However, it gets very frustrating when you have to miss an appointment and reschedule. Im well over 6 months overdue for a cleaning because I had to cancel an appointment, and, try as I may, I simply cannot get another appointment scheduled within a reasonable time frame. I ended up caving and scheduled a cleaning for this summer. Im strongly considering changing dentist offices because of this, though. I shutter to think how difficult getting ahold of this office would be if I had a dental emergency. It really is a shame, because I like the doctors and aids.

I had an appointment today at 7 am and due to a few morning set backs I was 40 minutes late. The office was nice enough to call me around 710 to double check if I was coming in. I really appreciated them doing that. I confirmed I would be 10 minutes behind. It was raining and 10 minutes turned into 30. I walked in and was told my slot was given away because I was late. When I told them I told them I was running behind the receptionist was very abrupt with me and said " You said youd be 10 minutes late not 20". I then countered " I find it funny when I was here last week with my son and we were on time we were made to wait 45 minutes to be seen and no one apologized but Im late and you give my slot away." Ive been a patient for a while and have seen a drastic decline in overall service and personal courtesy since Dr Patel took over. I will never return as a patient.

Havent been to this facility for since 2014. My daughter was being seen there for a bridge. I really had a problem with the orthodontist being there only 1 day a week. So due to my new work schedule every time I needed an appt. for her, I would have to take off. So, now I want to have the bridge removed and go to a dental facility thats more accommodating to my schedule. I also called to get a cleaning appt. set up for my boys, but since I missed the last cleaning appt., I was told by the receptionist I would be placed on a on call status; meaning when ever they have openings and call me, I must drop everything that I am doing and come with my 2 boys at that very moment. Poor costumer service, I wont be doing business there ever again.

CANT GET THE DENTIST TO CALL ME BACK!!! I went to Dr. Michaelson approximately 9 years ago for a permanent bridge. After giving him approximately $15000 cash, it was never right. I went back twice because it came loose and was charged each time. After being charged twice, I decided to just live with it. It recently broke and I went back to him. He promised he would take care of me. He told me everything included, it would be $3200. When I called the office to talk to the dentist again, his office staff told me it would be $7800. I asked to have Dr. Michaelson call me back so I could talk to him about the price difference. After calling his office 2-3 times per day for 2 weeks and not getting a return phone call, I gave up.
