This is the worst dentist that I have ever visited! Also, I have visited over a dozen other dentists in my moves throughout my life and can make a fair comparison. More specifically, I had made an appointment for a regular cleaning and after arriving there and having scientology magazines and dvds pushed on me by the staff in the waiting room, I was then taken back about 15 minutes after my appointment time after arriving 10 minutes early. After that, I waited in the chair for 20 minutes while the dentist, A. Rabanal, was finishing up another patient. During that time, Neil Woods, was visiting with the patient next to me and trying to upsell services/cosmetic dentistry and making them feel very uncomfortable which they confided in each other after Neil had left. When Dr. Rabanal arrived, I had to wait an additional 15 awkward minutes with him while we waited for the hygienist to chase her toddler throughout the office and be able to accompany him. Finally, after taking a look at my teeth, he had the hygienist take x-rays and then gave me a filling on my right molar (more on this later). After that, he had the hygienist perform a deep cleaning (not a regular cleaning) before explaining to me what a deep cleaning was. After about an hour of blood, pain, and the most un-gentle dentistry that I have ever experienced, the rude hygienist finished and I was free to go. If that experience alone was not bad enough, I come to find out that Dr. Rabanal was not covered by my insurance even though when I made the appointment, I asked to make sure that whomever saw me, that they were covered (when I looked online at my insurances website before the appointment, I saw that Neil Woods was covered). I was then hounded for over a year for an additional $100 that I hadnt yet paid and was not covered by my insurance. I called over 45 times to try and resolve the issue with them and either the billing person was "out" or I was placed on hold for over 15 minutes and had to call back. Also, about 2 1/2 months after my appointment, my right molar (the same one that had the filling) was hurting badly. I went to a different dentist and they said that it was the worst inflammation they had ever seen of that tooths roots. They then performed a root canal and put a crown on, and it has felt great since. This cost me an additional $800 dollars out of pocket after insurance. Bottom line, if you really have a lot of time to spare, want a poor job done on your teeth, get pressured to buy scientology material, or want to try and speak to someone to take care of a bill, then you should go here. Otherwise, go anywhere else, literally anywhere.

I have held off as long as I could with this review but there comes a time where could faith becomes blind oblivion and this is one of those times. I cannot comment on services rendered by this doctor because it never came to that point. I was recommended to this dentist because I am scared to death of dentist. I prepped my paperwork on the phone, completed the paperwork in the office and both times I stressed my fear of the dentist, this was ignored. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and continued with my check-up. I needed some work done and because I am NOT on welfare, my dental insurance paid only a small piece of my bill. I was told I could finance the rest which I did and this was approved within five minutes. I set up my appointment and waited. My first appointment was cancelled because they had forgotten about me. This is strike one. I was told I would receive a reminder appointment about the rescheduled appointment, this never happened until I called the office. Once I called the office I reminded the staff that because I was a fearful client, that meds had to be called into my local pharmacy I was told no problem and it would all be handled and they would call me back in an hour. That never happened. We can say this is strike two. I went into the office the morning of my appointment, I arrived early but within the posted hours and they stated that they were closed. I explained to them that given their shotty communication skills and horrific customer service there was no way in hell that I would trust them with the dental work that I needed. The doctor tried to talk me out of it but I was not about to change my mind. The office was not that clean and again the customer service sucked. I told them I wanted a full refund of my $2,700.00 dollars and they have been dragging their feet refunding it to me. I have called everyday with the promise of getting a return call back from finance and naturally they refuse to call. It took 5 minutes to take $2700.00 dollars and it is taking forever for them to refund it back to me. I was last told my paperwork was sitting on the dentist desk. Don’t use this dentist because is professional courtesy is indicative of the actual service that you will receive…….you would be screwed!!! He or they have no sense of urgency and this is unacceptable. There were two very nice women there in the office but that’s about all.

My mother is 80 years old. PRIOR TO February 2, 2015 (when she originally had the first of TWO dental surgeries in this office( because they didnt do the first surgery correctly to place the "pins" in the bone), she paid, $8000 IN FULL, for 6 bottom teeth to be removed and the replacement dentures to be made and inserted. Today is JULY 15th, 2015 and she has just returned from a 4 HOUR appointment from Dr. Woods office. I couldnt begin to tell you how many appointments she has had since February, only for her to return home with no satisfaction. They have taken impression after impression, for what reason, I have no idea. They have made her 3 sets of teeth because they were always wrong (too big, too much "gum" on them, part of the gum broke off, didnt line up with her top denture (which, thankfully, they did not make), you name it, its been one excuse after another! Today, she was supposed to have FINALLY received her "correct" teeth. Well, after FOUR HOURS, she was told that the dentist messed them up and, not only will she not get her teeth today, she cant be seen until JULY 30th! When she asked why she couldnt be seen earlier, they told her they could not "fit her in" because others have been waiting. Well, shes been waiting almost 6 MONTHS! She has had to revert to taking anxiety medicine before she goes there because shes just so upset all the time because of their ineptness! Now, not only does she not have her teeth fitted property, they have told her she needs to keep them in with paste or glue so they dont fall out. She can barely talk without them flopping around, I cant imagine how shes going to be able to eat!! Unfortunately, Im limited because Im not the patient, but it doesnt stop me from contacting the States Attorneys Office, the Better Business Bureau, and the Dental Association. I am sick to death of seeing my poor mother so upset over something that has been paid for for 6 months and has yet to have gotten what she paid for. This is completely ridiculous and I am absolutely FURIOUS about this! I wouldnt recommend this practice to my worst enemy!
