The staff at this Banfield are very friendly and nice. In a sleazy, vapid way. They also seem to range from incompetent to straight up moronic. I would also add that they are deceptive, provide no explanations to the owner and little empathy to the animals, encourage exploitative procedures to justify their wellness plans and appear more interested in upselling you than providing any real information. I dont feel I have gotten a single piece of useful information out of their vets. Meanwhile I have been encouraged to sign up to any number of additional, unnecessary services without any real explanation of what they are or why (or if) they are necessary. They will always suggest additional unnecessary and expensive treatments without considering or offering common sense solutions. Personally I would question the ethics and professional pride of any vet who wanted to work there. The girls out front are friendly but I doubt they could spell their own names. Do not expect any help or intelligent conversation with them. Dr Aziz is a sleazy scumbag and should never be allowed near another animal let alone a beloved pet. Go there at your own risk. Just be prepared to be frustrated and disgusted with the service. Dont expect to have an adult conversation with them - they wont be able to comprehend the underlying concepts.

This is a great Banfield. I have used other ones, and the vets and techs seem to care so much here. They are always friendly, know my pet by name and are always helpful. The vets are also very professional, and while they normally charge for trimming my cats nails, the vet showed us how to trim his nails by doing them for us for free! The service between the Banfield offices varies drastically. I took my kitten to the Banfield in Columbia and was unhappy with the inattention to an infected eye. I brought him to this Banfield and the vet was very concerned, she insisted on us returning within a week so she could keep an eye on the infection. The vets and techs also make sure you know how much and when to give medications if theyre not labelled on the packaging. Great place!

WORST VET EVER. It was appalling how carelessly we were treated. Just awful. Their primary concern is to sell, sell, sell. I had naively bought into their "Banfield Wellness Plan" but it really is a scam. Nothing is covered by the plan, but above and beyond that-- I wouldnt go here even if the services were FREE. The doctor said she was doing me a FAVOR by seeing me since her shift had already ended. She must have repeated that about 4 times. The vet tech didnt listen to me when I was explaining my dogs health to her. My primary concern is obviously how they treated my dog, and that I didnt get to witness since the exam occurred in the "back room". I can only judge how they spoke to me and treated me and you could not pay me to return here.

The Absolute Worst!!! Our dog has been treated at the Wisconsin Ave. Banfield Pet Hospital for 6 years. Recently, when she was getting out of the car to go in for grooming at the same Pet Smart, the leash came unlocked and our dog darted into traffic. She was hit by a car and had internal injuries, bleeding and broken bones. When we went to ask HER VETERINARIAN at Banfield to help her, we were told - no - they are on LUNCH BREAK!!! What kind of "Hospital" refuses care to one of their own patients, when they are dangerously injured and sitting in the waiting room. We left and took her to Friendship Animal Hospital, where they took excellent care of her. Unbelievably heartbreaking!!!

I have been bringing my cats here since I adopted my first kitty more than 4 years ago. Their affordable basic Wellness Plan covers their shots and preventive exams, which gives me great peace of mind. When my kitties have needed additional care (x-rays, dental cleaning), the final cost has always been less than the estimate I was provided with. And when one of my kitties got a mysterious ear infection that just wouldnt die, all the vets put their heads together to come up with a treatment plan, and they didnt charge me for the follow-up testing. The staff there really seem to look upon my kitties as their own. I bring my cats here with confidence!

I have brought my pets here -- two dogs and a cat -- for the two years they have been open!! The staff has always been warm and inviting, caring for my pets like they are their own. I like that they have the window into the treatment area, you can see what they are doing when they bring your pet to "the back". The wellness plans have helped me SOOOOOOOO much!!! They saved me so much money with the shots and everything each year, and they even include a discount if one of my kids (my pets, hehe) gets sick!

Just had my very first visit there with my new dog and the staff are wonderful and seem to know what theyre doing. Dr. Servis and the veterinary assistant Morgan (I think that was her name) were lovely. The way they described things was easy to understand and they were always very attentive and friendly. They did the vaccinations and blood draw in the room with us as well as showing us how to apply the flea and tick preventative. Believe it or not, I think my dog actually likes the vet!

This is the only vet hospital I trust. The customer service and doctors are outstanding. They show knowledge, compassion, & understanding. All 3 of my dogs (Pit bull, English bulldog, and Chihuahua) always have a wonderful caring experience. They are all enrolled in the wellness program which really reduce vet cost. I highly recommend this Banfield location.

They have taken care of my cat for several years and Ive never had any issues. The wellness plan is affordable and saves me tons of money for dental cleanings and routine visits. I live in Gaithersburg but I continue to use the Banfield in Bethesda because they know my cat and take GREAT care of him.

Yes they are very nice but I took my cat for one reason and I ended up spending twice as much because of all of these other thousands of exams you are supossed to do! Everything is an extra cost and they are going to try to convince you to spend all your money with all this unnecessary things!!!

Nice until you need an emergency service (thats why I was paying for an insurance in the first place). My dog was sick and vomiting and they said they just had time for the next month. Go straight to Friendship Hospital where you will get a better plan and service!

Ive only had good experiences here. Dr. K is great and very professional. I always trust her to take great care of my dog. I have heard horror stories about other DC area Banfields but this one is great. Well worth the trip up to Bethesda.

I love Banfield, as a new pet owner with "new pet syndrome" I take my dog in a lot. Banfield has saved my budget 100x. I couldnt be happier with the service they provide.

You have to see Dr. Scalco! We love her! She helped us solve our dogs allergy issues and was always very honest with us about costs and what could wait and what couldnt.
