My aging rat had recently fallen very ill. After a very long night I decided it may be time to put my little boy to rest. I called Bradley Hills really knowing nothing about them, just that they would take a rat and were a reasonable distance from my home. The receptionist who answered my call was very kind and patient with me, it was a very hard call for me to make. They didnt have any appointments available, but the doctor said I could come anyway. They took me almost as soon as I arrived even though I had been warned that there would be a wait time. The vet-tech brought me the euthanasia consent form, explained the process in detail, assuring me that there would be no pain for my little guy. He then left the room and gave me some time to be alone. Dr. Weiss came in and checked my rat over. The Doctor and the vet-tech were both very sweet and gentle to my rat. We discussed his symptoms and what he had felt in his exam. He said that hanging on with him for a few more days wouldnt be an unfair choice, but did say that he may be in quite a bit of discomfort and bringing him in a second time might be very difficult for me. After much crying and petting, I signed the form. My rat ended up passing on in my lap before the euthanasia could take place. Dr. Weiss said he more than likely died of a stroke and felt no pain. The vet-tech returned his body to me in a towel and they didnt charge me for anything. It was an awful and strange experience made a bit easier by a great doctor and staff. Even if my tears didnt reflect that. I know what vet Ill be taking my small animals to from now on.

I have been using Dr. Weiss for 20 years. My dogs are not just “pets”; they are members of my family. As such, there is no one other than Dr. Weiss that I would trust with their care and well-being. I know that my dogs are getting the best care at Bradley Hills. The equipment at Bradley Hills is state-of-the-art. Dr. Weiss uses a laser for surgeries which minimizes bleeding and allows your pet to recover faster. Dr. Weiss is very skilled at diagnosing a pet and excels at communicating with his clients. He explains veterinary concepts in plain English that a lay person can understand and will always give me a recommendation. I just went through a serious illness with my older golden retriever. He went above and beyond by keeping me constantly updated on the condition of my dog and took all the time needed to answer my questions and did so in terms that I could understand. We had to make many difficult decisions during her illness and Dr. Weiss was always great about saying what he would do if it was his dog. Dr. Weiss’ biggest strength is his compassion. I lost a beloved Golden to cancer about five years ago. Dr. Weiss called me at 4 a.m. to tell me that my dog had passed away. He lives right next door to the hospital and regularly checked on my dog even in the middle of the night. I can’t imagine going through that experience with anyone other than Dr. Weiss and the staff at Bradley Hills. They made a terrible experience more bearable by their support and compassion. I can’t recommend them highly enough.

Bradley Hills is the only veterinary hospital where we will take our dogs. We have had pets our whole lives and had many veterinarians. The culture of Bradley Hills, heavily influenced by Dr. Weiss, is unprecedented. Dr. Weiss and each staff member treat our precious family members as beings with feelings, that are intelligent enough to be directly communicated with. Our dogs have received only the highest quality care, at a very reasonable price, for the care and treatments recommended. In particular, Dr. Weiss treated one of our dogs that had a serious, cronic illness for two and a half years after another verterian admitted he did not know how to treat his condition. This was our first experience with Dr. Weiss and he won us over from day one. He was honest with us every step of the way through the care and treatment until the extremely sad day where we had to euthanize this pet. His recommendations every step of the way were from the perspective of what he would do if it were his pet. We still have two pets that are cared for by Dr. Weiss. We do not know what we would do if Dr.Weiss stopped practicing.

You can be confident that your pet is getting compassionate care backed up by medical expertise if you choose Bradley Hills. About a year and a half ago my 12 year old dog was suddenly having eye issues. We lived in VA at the time and brought her to two different vets over the period of 6 months. Both diagnosed her with an eye infection. I knew there was something else going on but both vets dismissed my concerns and prescribed antibiotics. We moved to MD that summer and we found Bradley Hills. At the first visit, Dr. Mueller listened to me and then took one look at my dog and knew she had glaucoma. They tested her quickly and determined the swelling was so bad that she had lost sight in that eye and needed 3 medications. After being on medication for almost a year now, my dog has a healthy eye. Although she is still on medicated eye drops, she has regained some sight. Im so happy we found Bradley Hills before her eye loss became permanent.

I have been to Bradly Hills now for well over a decade for my Ferrets. In all that time Dr Weiss has never once failed to help me with whatever issues they had going on. He always takes the time to listen to my concerns as well as my thoughts and never once have I been afraid to leave one of my babies with him. He is to me the ideal animal doctor and I have never thought twice about the hour it takes me to get to his office one way. His caring and his attentive staff have always made each visit comfortable and relaxed. Every one of my 10 Ferrets has trusted Dr Weiss without question. And when it has been their time he does everything he can to make their cross over as painless as possible for them as well as myself. That speaks volumes to me. And I will not go anywhere else. If you love your pets you should come and see for yourself. A better group you will be hard pressed to find.

BRADLEY HILLS IS THE ABSOLUTE ONLY FACILITY FOR MY DOGS HEALTH CARE! I have owned 4 West Highland terriers over the past 30 years; and during that time went to many different veterinarians. My only regret is that I did not find Dr Charlie Weiss until about 4 years ago. There is NO COMPARISON with him and his support staff & the several other animal health professionals I have used. He is instinctive with my dogs; empathetic with any trouble I may be having in their training, care & general concerns. Thanks to Dr. Charlie, when I was recently at my wits end, attempting to integrate a new westie puppy into my home with my 9-year old westie; he guided me to the most terrific training program in this area -- which, ultimately made it possible to keep my little pack AND my own sanity! Would that I could find a doctor to treat ME as Dr. Charlie treats my dogs! Ellie Rider
