If you ever go to Right Time medical care in Columbia, you might want to think twice if the doctor on duty is Cecile Punzalan. Ive been there before but never had a doctor be so careless and rude. She was the most unprofessional doctor I have seen there, or anywhere for that matter. I went in for a sore throat and a tooth infection causing pain to radiate up my face and into my ear. The nurse did a strep test and the doctor pretty much came in laughing and said I didnt have strep (Last time I was there I did so I was worried it could be that) but instead of saying well send it out to the lab she said well youre obviously going to have to see a dentist. Well at 10:30pm I dont know of any emergency dentists in the area so I went there. I had a root canal on the tooth that was infected and it was clear to see it was infected. I explained that I needed it surgically removed and my insurance wouldnt cover it and all I really needed was an antibiotic until I can afford the surgical extraction. Her "exam" was looking down my throat, and making me lay on my stomach so she could press on it. Oh and the biggest insult was when I said "the pain is so bad its radiating in my ear and giving me an earache which in turn FEELS like an ear infection. She LAUGHS as she shines the light in my ear and says "NOPE, no infection in that ear" WOW, really? I told her thats what it felt like but she felt the need to make me look stupid. So she leaves and I could hear her talking about me to someone in the back room. I knew it was about me because she was talking and snickering about my previous visits; for strep and another for a tooth infection (on a different tooth which I had taken care of) She came back in to tell me they will send me home with Ibuprofen 400mg (12) and Tylenol 3 (12), and give me a shot of torodol. Then she left quickly. When the nurse came back in I asked if she was going to give me an antibiotic for the infection and she said whatever the doctor will prescribe you, theyll have it up at the front desk. The nurse gave me the Toradol as I asked what it was and she said "People say this burns". Which it stung like hell, im sure that was the reason behind the doctor administering it to me. After that I never saw the doc again, she didnt give me an antibiotic and she was the most UN-thorough doctor Ive ever had, anywhere. She didnt feel my swollen glands or anything. It was the worst experience Ive ever had and Ive never felt so dismissed and uncared for. I saw my PCP today and she told me my glands were very swollen and my throat was very red, and said it was most likely due to my tooth infection. TA-DA.... an antibiotic! I also went to the dentist later in the day and he told me like I told Mrs. Punzalan, I needed a surgical extraction ( 2 actually) that are $450+ each out of pocket. He couldnt believe when I told him about my experience at RightTime. He said "Ibuprofen 400 and Tylenol 3? For that kind of pain you need a stronger narcotic, tooth infections can be a nightmare for pain" I will neverrrrr be back.

Somethings sketchy. I went to this right time medical location due to what I suspected was a hairline fracture in my ankle. I was taken back to a room promptly, a friend assisted me getting around. I was not offered a wheelchair or crutches. My friend departed the exam room and a nurse entered and identified herself. Another woman entered and did not. They handed me x-ray consent forms and took my vitals. They then told me we were going to walk back to the x-ray room. No offer of a wheelchair or crutches. Unidentified woman entered the room and said I needed to put on a lead vest, so I held up my hands. No, she insisted I stand to put on the vest. On my possibly broken ankle. So I complied and waited in the room for 15 min waiting for the PA. The PA was very friendly and chipper. She explained what she was looking at in the x-rays, and told me that my ankle was probably broken, but their x-ray machine isnt good enough to identify a hairline fracture. I have no idea why no one told me this before Id had x-rays taken there, but I digress. She said Id need to see an orthopedic specialist to identify the potential fracture and said shed get me information to refer me. So far so mediocre. The service wasnt great, but up till then it was a three star experience. Heres what raised my red flags. She asked me if I was having pain in my ankle. I said no. Id had no residual sore pain, just an occasional twingy pain that wasnt severe. She asked if Id taken any Ibuprofen, and I said no, that ice had helped the swelling and I didnt have passive pain. She then offered to write me a prescription for codeine. I didnt know what to say. She offered again. "No." "Are you sure?" "No. I do not want a prescription for codeine." After that, the nurse returned to take me back to my room. She talked with the PA briefly. They were within view and out of ear shot. The nurse looked surprised, looked at me, asked the PA something, nodded, and came to bring me back to the room. She insisted on me using a wheelchair or crutches to return to the room. She put a splint on my foot and I was referred to an orthopedic specialist. Id love to give this place the benefit of the doubt, but offering a patient who has said twice that theyre not in pain an opioid three times is VERY sketchy and enough to keep me away in the future. I think Id rather chance the ER and their fully functional x-ray machine.

I have never experienced such a bad medical experience. The staff was so rude. It was almost as if my visit was a inconvenience to them. The receptionist, nurse and doctor all had an attitude, making the whole experience extremely uncomfortable. No one would barely look us in the eye or even crack a smile. We were seen by the doctor about 30 minutes after waiting in a freezing cold room, and were greeted with "So what happened?" Not even a hello or introduction of her name or anything close to that. When I eventually said something to the doctor about the very apparent rudeness all the staff members including herself were exuding, she completely brushed me off and left the room. I myself work in the medical field and can not imagine treating patients so disrespectfully and without any compassion. Also, the medication they prescribed for the injury was pretty ineffective and we ended up going else where for treatment. Over all, the lack of professionalism was extremely disappointing. I would not recommend this location to anyone, and hope that for the sake of people who do choose to visit this location that they make some serious attitude adjustments as soon as possible.

I normally dont write reviews, but I will this time. We had a scare with our newborn and this was the only non ER place that was still open. I was a little hesitant to go here, since I knew it would be staffed by a PA and I wasnt sure how much experience they had with newborns. Anyway, the good. Since it was late, there was no line. They also have a nice EMR system, so theres no paperwork. The PA was nice. The problem is, he seemed to be a tad nervous dealing with the newborn. He also seemingly misdiagnosed our son and recommended we go to the ER. We did, and the Dr there gave a completely different diagnosis. Anyway, our kid is fine now, thank god. We will be receiving a huge out of network bill for taking him to the ER since we followed the recommendation of Righttime Medical. Everything the PA said, the Dr at Hopkins said wasnt true. The other thing that bothered me was that the PA said he likes to call and follow-up with his patients (which I thought was nice), he hasnt. We will not be returning to this location.
