Let me start by saying this. I have been looking for a vet that I am comfortable at and trust for YEARS! Ive been holding my nose with the places Ive gone to in the past, not to say they were bad, I was just looking for a place that was a bit more personable towards my cat, not "what can I sell you, thanks for your money see you in a few days" kinda place. Dr. Brenner saw my kitty today, upon walking into the room, he went right for her and started talking to her, petting her, and checking her over, not even a word to me. (I had already talked to vet tech about what was wrong so he already knew what was going on with her) It made me instantly fall in love with him as a vet seeing as his top and utmost priority was my cat, not my money. He didnt try to sell me the latest in cat medicine and the newest organic cat treat to give her, he told me the plan of action to make her better, and told me my options. Upon reading reviews, I saw that pricing was an issue for some. I found the prices very reasonable, and even cheaper than Rocky Gorge where I had taken her for an emergency visit this weekend (I had previously taken my other cat here regularly). I didnt have any crazy work done to her, so maybe this is why. Staff was friendly, caring, and very down to earth. They have made a new customer out of me, and I will be recommending this place to everyone!

Dr. Brenner is a gem! He is a very caring, understanding and personable vet. He has taken excellent care of all my animals since 2002. He is astute when it comes to diagnosing problems and really takes the time to listen to your concerns as the owner (I like to call myself the parent). He has Saturday morning hours and some evenings. He has a clear, common-sense approach that is refreshing in a world that is often full of people who beat around the bush. I had a nine week old, 1.2 pound kitten who became critically ill from tainted pet food in 2007. While I knew he tried his best to save her life, he also offered me no promises or false hope that she sould survive through the night. She is now about to turn 6 years old and I am confident that she would not have survived in the hands of anyone else. You will not find a better animal hospital anywhere. Dr. Brenner and his staff are tops!

I just took my cat to Dr. Brenner today for severe constipation issues. I was very pleased with Dr. Brenners attitude and the amount of questions he asked as he tried to figure out how to proceed. I ESPECIALLY liked that he didnt want to run very costly scans and do other costly procedures to "rule out" causes. He took the rather young age of my cat into account and sent us home with medicine and instructions on how to proceed over the next couple of days. He did caution that if this didnt work he would have to do Xrays and other things but he tried a low risk, low cost approach first. I understand the risks but I also dont have hundreds to thousands of dollars to spend.

Brenner Animal Hospital is an amazing vet. They do their own surgery, dental work, and boarding. I love know that if something terrible happens, I can board my dog and they have all the records. My dog had knee surgery a year ago and and the scar is hardly there, her knee is still functioning well, and after all the strain she puts on it it holds up better than many human surgeries I have seen. All the vet techs love my dog and are super nice. I was recommended by another pitbull owner, and I recommend Brenner to anyone with a dog, especially those who need extra care. Thanks for loving my dog as much as I do!

Yes, there are a fair # of knowledgeable vets in the Laurel area, but what makes him and his team stand out is their bedside manner. Ive brought my cats to Brenner Animal Hospital since I moved to Maryland over 20 years ago. Dr. Brenner keeps up-to-date with the latest news in veterinary medicine which is great for my elderly cat who has kidney disease, pancreatitis and other ailments. Theo is 17 years old and hanging in there. The staff is always helpful and are able to handle Theo even when he isnt in a good mood!
