Dr. Miller and his staff are amazing - Five Stars! Being fairly new to the area, Dr. Miller and his staff helped and encouraged our family as we dealt with an elderly dog (almost 21 years!) and our eventual decision to put him to rest. One sad afternoon, we found our little Simon panting when we got home from work/school, and knew that it was time. In a panic, I picked up my childhood doggie and drove straight to Dr. Millers office. I was hysterical and in tears when I showed up just short of closing time, but Dr. Miller, whom had already left for the day, came back to the office within minutes to tend to my little guy. With much love, he and his staff walked me through Simons options, taking in consideration that I had my 9 and 4 year old sons with me. We opted to put Simon to sleep, and Dr. Miller and his staff were so loving and gentle, and explained everything as it was happening. What I really liked is that Dr. Miller encouraged me to make the best decision possible, verifying that it had been thought through. He reiterated that there could be other options, and made sure that I was secure in my decision (from having watched my little guy deteriorate significantly over the last six months) before proceeding. Once Simon passed, Dr. Miller and his staff were very gentle in his handling and wrapping in the blanket before handing me the body (I opted to bury my Simon). In fact, the most touching part of my budding relationship with Charles County Vet Hospital, is that Dr. Miller and his staff personally signed and sent me a beautiful card with their condolences for the passing of my doggie. That will be forever treasured. Now, we have a new little puppy, Hunter, and we brought him in for his first check-up and set of shots. Once again, Dr. Miller and his staff were impeccable and very loving. The office is equipped with the latest technology and lab equipment, to include a digital x-ray machine and animal "walk-in" bathing/grooming facility. Needless to say, I have found a vet who truly cares about my pet and my family. Dr. Miller and his staff have proven that they are more than just a vet clinic - they are family.

My mother has lived in the Waldorf area for the last 26 years. During this time Dr. Miller has been the only vet to care for the 3 different dogs she has had. I recently moved from Portland, Oregon with my 3 year old Staffordshire Terrier, to help my mom. Before leaving Portland, I took my dog to his vet to update all his shots. When we arrived in Waldorf, he had to have a booster shot so it was off to see Dr. Miller and his staff. My dog is extremely friendly and very much full of energy. To my amazement the office exam and booster shot went off without a hitch. Today, I took my wild child in to be tested for heart worms (which meant a blood draw). I really didnt know how they would get him to stay still long enough to draw the blood. Once again I was amazed. The team work between Dr. Miller and his staff was great. Everyone was very much the professional. I would really like to thank all of them for the way they handled both my dog and me. For any health need my dog has while we are in the state of Maryland, Dr. Miller is the only vet I will take him to. Thanks again to Dr. Miller and his staff!

Have had multiple excellent experiences with Dr. Miller as well as the staff. They were all very caring and accommodating when my rabbits back legs failed. They got her in right away. We tried a few things to get her moving again, but he was also kindly informative that we may need to consider putting her down. The office staff was very kind and understanding during those visits. Theyve always been very understanding with my sweet kitty (who can get very cranky when someone is sticking him with needles.) Ive heard of vets refusing to treat an animal thats clawing and biting. ... Id claw and bite if I didnt understand why you were sticking me either! Today I had another excellent call. Their hours on a Saturday are 9-12. I called at 8 not realizing that. Someone answered the phone and was super nice. I asked for hours, but she simply asked me what my problem was. When I described what was wrong with my cat, she asked if I could bring him in at 8:30, even though the situation was not an emergency. I would highly highly recommmend this vet!

Took my dog here for her first Maryland vet visit. We just moved here from the west coast. The vet was helpful in getting us what we needed for her to be healthy in this area. He gave us lime disease vaccines, heart worm meds, and did blood work. He also trimmed her du claws free of charge because her groomer neglected to trim them. While we were waiting for her blood work to be done, he showed us around the back of the facilities. I appreciated seeing their lab equipment. He was very gentle with her, as was the woman who helped him (vet tech Im assuming?). He gave us a cup to collect a stool sample in and instructed us to bring it in. I went home and googled what that test was for, and its to check for parasites. Its too hot where we lived for parasites like that, so I brought the cup back for a refund. They refunded it for me and gave me cash. It was much appreciated. All in all I would recommend this place.

I took my German Shepherd dog here to receive OFA hip & elbow scoring. Dr.Miller and his team were very kind and did their best to make me happy with the positioning of the dog in the x-ray (which is very important and sometimes quite difficult to achieve). The office environment is very warm and friendly and it is quite obvious the care of my animal was priority over the all-mighty dollar. Ive been to many vets who suggest extreme or unnecessary action and charge astronomical prices for clear profit. Dr. Miller and his team did not show this poor quality and, even when dealing with another customer as well as myself, showed more concern for the pet-owners pleasant experience at their office and the overall health of the animal. To me this is priceless.

Dr.Miller is a very kind man who genuinely loves animals and people. My 12 year old daschund happy and fine when I left for work, my mom called me mid day and said she was throwing up blood and pooping very smelly bloody clotty stools. I called my usual vet, whom did not answer the phone at 2pm..Dr. Miller is my rabbit vet, so I called him. He told me to bring her right in. We did and I am so thankful....he quickly treated her, sorted out she had a pancreatitis and was very sick....but would get better. He called me the next day to check on her before 9am and then again around noon. Wow is all I can say! He is also awesome with rabbits...our bunny broke his leg and he took great care of him aswell. Thanks Dr. Miller, you are the BOMB!
