Sadly, I had to have my dog, my baby, euthinized. Of course, I was extremely upset. I had to pay for the service before they would preform it which was understandable. About 3 weeks later, I recieved a call from LIBIRTY ANIMAL HOSPITAL. an EXTREMELY RUDE staff member said that I would have to pay another 100.00 to dispose of my dogs body. WAIT, WHAT!!!!??? I ALREADY PAID...AND 3WEEKS LATER??? HER BODY WAS STILL THERE AFTER 3 WEEKS!!! I told her that I paid for the service and that I didnt owe anything else. 4 days later, I began receiving calls from a collection agency. (Libirty animal hospital never even sent me a bill ) Even tho I told the callers to stop calling and sue me, these calls came every day, several times a day. I was sad about loosing my dog, and being harassed at the same time. I was so sad and depressed. Then, one day, a collector called and asked when I was going to pay. In tears, I explaned my situation to her. I begged her to just take me to court and sue me.She told me that this was not the first time that they have done this, that because people are in mourning, they usally pay just to make the calls stop. Thats sad. ****UPDATE**** 9 months later and these idiots are still bothering me. I blocked their number, and they call from another number. All of this over money i dont even owe! Well, i guess they will pay the people they hired twice as much tring to get the money from me, becausr I will. N E V E R pay money that I DO NOT OWE!!!!

Dr. Brown is the bomb!!!! I purchased my 1st boxer back in 2000, and I have been going to Liberty Animal Clinic ever since. I have even boarded my boxer and did not have any issues what so ever. I hated moving because I was sure I would not find anyone as welcoming as Dr. Brown’s office. I moved back to Maryland in 2005 and had another boxer with me and I immediately looked up Dr. Browns business and I was so happy to hear that he was still in business. Of course he was Zorahs vet from the time she was no longer with me. In 2011, we had a German Rottweiler flown to us and Dr. Brown has been her vet ever since. We have never had any issues with any of the staff members or the other veterinarians everyone has always been so friendly and approachable. As far as the look of the establishment, it has always been clean and I have never seen it dirty or smelling for that matter. Now that Zenobia is expecting her 1st litter we have been given so much help from the office, and you can tell that they genuinely care about all the pets that come in the office. I am not sure about all the negative comments, but I always say everyone has a bad day here and there. I am not making excuses, but that could have been the case or maybe it was the individual that came into the office that had the issue. This office is the bomb

I wanted to express my concern for this place.. I would absolutely never take my dog back here! I got my puppy from one of the pet stores that Dr. Brown works with and came here since it was a free vet visit. First, this place is terribly run down and looks very dirty! Secondly, Dr. Brown has to be one of the worst vets that I have ever come across. From the very beginning he recommended purina puppy chow which contains corn, starch, and bi products... that is a huge NO NO! These ingredients have been linked to poor health in dogs.. Just talk to any other vet, petsmart, or petco. Why any vet would recommend this blows my mind! I even went back to the pet store and they told me to absolutely NOT buy Purina Puppy Chow. My last gripe, which was TERRIBLE ... he told us a tick that was on his face was a skin mole.. How does a Veterinarian doctor confuse a skin mole with a tick? We immediately stopped taking our puppy there. If he missed that who knows what else he would miss that could be much more severe! By the way, we did take our puppy back to the pet store to get their opinion, they clearly stated it was a tick and removed it for us. If you would like a recommendation of a Veterinarian - please consider Frederick Road Veterinarian.. I would trust them will my dogs life any day!!!

Im surprised to read the negative reviews and hope these unfavorable observations are limited to those who wrote in. Ive been taking my pets to Liberty Animal Clinic for nearly a decade, and we live an hour away. Over the years, Ive had the opportunity to see each vet there and to interact with the vet techs and office staff. Over the years, my family and I have probably made over 30 visits to this clinic and look forward to our appointments. In my experience, the staff have been very compassionate and understanding, and the vet has always engaged me to get my opinion about our dogs health. He also offers a range of treatment options - ones that help conserve costs and others that are more elaborate. I dont think Dr. Brown sugar coats information, and to me, I prefer his approach over some other vets Ive seen in the past. Ive considered myself lucky to have Liberty Animal Clinic taking care of our pets, and dont plan on switching even though its a long drive to get there. I hope others have the positive experience my family has had.

Im sad to see that others have not had such a positive experience as my family. Weve been going to Liberty Animal Clinic since 2008 and weve seen Dr. Brown every single visit. Ive also boarded my dogs there numerous times. Dr. Brown helped save my Border Collie when he contracted heartworm (already had it before we took him in), he did a necropsy on our Doberman puppy after she died at 6 months and reported the findings to us and the breeder we used, and hes seen our Tibetan Terrier from 4 months until present. Weve never had a problem with any of the staff and in fact appreciate the fact that we get discounts for being long-time patients, even though weve never asked for them. Even now, we no longer live in the area, and we still drive to Baltimore from NoVA to take our dogs to their well-puppy/dog appointments. They are a small clinic in a pretty busy part of town, but theyve always been there for our pets and for us, and for that, they have our loyalty and business.

I have had a horrible experience with this vet. Every time we go, we see a different vet. While the technicians are nice, its very hard to get the vets attention. One in particular seems to have little knowledge of dogs. For example: -He told us that it was wrong to feed our 10 week old puppy more then twice a day. All other sources of information I can find recommend feeding young puppies at least three times a day. - He also told us repeatedly that our dog will become vicious, because he is a shelter dog and a pit-bull. He told us that shelters mislead people to get them to adopt bad dogs. Pit Bulls are not inherently bad and a vet should know this. Strangely enough, our dog doesnt look a thing like a pit bull. We think hes a border collie/lab mix. -The vet told us to get a choke chain because our puppy had not learned to walk on a leash yet. I would never recommend this vet and will never return.
