It pains me to even have to give these people one star. I took a week and a half old kitten in to them, by accident because i had actually scheduled an appointment with the veterinarian next door, Patapsco Valley Animal Hospital... They didnt have me fill out any paperwork and then took her back and said there was nothing they could do at this point other an immediate surgery for diverticulitis and that she had a minimal chance of surviving and my best course of action was to euthanize her. This is a week and a half old kitten that I have been bottle feeding, had just opened her eyes that day, plays with me, eats well, uses the bathroom as she should but she had a small growth next to her butt which is why i took her in. I obviously immediately began to breakdown thinking I had to put down this baby kitten that I had been doing everything in my power to keep healthy. Luckily, I have a very good family friend that is a vet at an animal hospital that is unfortunately not local to me, and i called her and she said "absolutely not" to diverticulitis. She asked me to send her pictures and give her all of the information so she could hopefully give me better news. Minutes after leaving, with a medication in an unmarked syringe that they did not disclose what it was or provide me with any paperwork and just told me to give it to her every few hours, I receive a call saying I missed my vet appointment. BECAUSE THEY FAILED TO TELL ME I WAS IN THE WRONG PLACE. Thankfully, Patapsco Valley was still able to take me even though they were minutes from closing. They were able to tell me immediately that the kitten had a hernia which was not uncommon and easy to maintain until she is older and strong enough to have surgery to repair it if it doesnt heal on its own. I WAS DEVASTATED thinking I had to euthanize my kitten all because Howard County Vet wanted to make easy money on someone they thought didnt know any better. I hope every person in that building rots in hell. Please do not trust them with your animals, GET A SECOND OPINION.

Dr. Mira is after dime and penny you have. Created unnecessary appoints in multiple trips to charge you multiple visits. Do blood works and testing when its not even due, and only prescribe one month of prescription when you choose not to purchase from the office. The average cost from this place is double compared to others, when the quality of care is just pathetic. Do your research and never go there.

quiet, Dr. always listens to owners and is familiar with pets. Lots of hours for working owners and emergencies. They even call to follow up on patients.
