Our little Mini Pin was diagnosed with diabetes and had to be put on a special prescription diet. We called Precious paws Animal Hospital (5 minutes away) in Ocean City, they would only fill our prescription from Olney Sandy Springs Veterinary Hospital if the doctor saw Bella, the cost of a doctors examination and visit probably around $340. They were all about the money, they told us it was illegal for them to fill a prescription without first examining the dog. I called several more veterinarian hospitals in the area all had no problem filling the prescription. Ended up going to Berlin Animal Hospital (30 minutes away) they were awesome, couldnt do enough for us, $26 later had plenty of food for the Bella. Save at least $350. Talked to several people that said Precious Paws tries to gouge out of town people because they know they are the only vet in Ocean City.

I needed an urgent appointment for my dog who suffers from allergies. She is tormented with non-stop itchy ears and paws. I had noticed the OC Vet many times while driving by, so I called. They were able to see my dog, as a new patient, on short notice. But more importantly, Dr. O, as I will call her, was very knowledgeable and had answers. She communicated to me well and was very gentle with my sick little pup as she did a thorough well-dog check. We didnt have to wait long and were out the door with the right meds quickly. My dog is feeling so much better now. Her tail is up and wagging and she is busy looking for little critters in the back yard again. Many thanks to the Ocean City Veterinarian Hospital for giving us both much needed relief and peaceful sleep.

We have been using Ocean City Animal Hospital for years - and we have only the highest regard for the staff and service they provide. Having 4 dogs can be a daunting task to visit the vet - but it always goes smoothly - each dog is given the "loving touch" - of a genuinely loving group of people. Care is dispensed always with the dog and humans best interests considered. Questions are answered, and re-answered until you are satisfied. You never fear asking any question - these folks are there for you and your pets! They now have a wonderful club you can enjoy - that allows you to earn points to apply to later costs for care! Making it so much easier when something unexpected comes up. I highly recommend Ocean City Animal Hospital.

My English Springer Spaniel is 11 years old. She started getting sick Saturday afternoon. Sunday we took her to Pet ER. Although they helped, there was no official diagnosis. Polly was feeling worse Monday. She would not eat, could not walk, and was minimally responsive. We were sure we would have to put her down. We took her to Precious Paws Monday morning. Dr. Flood and her staff cared for her all day long. Polly was given an IV and a stronger antibiotic after a diagnosis was made. Throughout the day, we were given updates of her progress. When we picked her up at 5 pm she was responsive, walking, eating, and so much better! Clear written instructions were given to take care of her. The difference in one day was miraculous!

Im very pleased with Ocean City Animal Hospital. They are very accommodating with appointments, and all of the veterinarians that we have seen have been wonderful. I take my kitty there, too, for her thyroid, and also have taken her for a skin condition -- after using the prescription medications her condition cleared within a few days thankfully. The technicians are very kind and you can see they love animals. I have two very large dogs that drool a lot and they dont mind at all, lol. They even give my dogs kisses. I guess with all the attention thats why my pups actually look forward to going to the vets!

I found a kitten near death in my yard one summer late night, my daughter bottle fed that kitten formula every 2 hours and kept her warm in her shirt all night until I was able to get her to vet in am. The kitten was put in IV immediately for she was dehydrated and scared. The vet took personal care of her for many weeks until she was able to eat on her own, walk and be a kitten again. The staff was so attentive when I took my 15 month Shellie in for an emergency. The gals at the desk saw that my Finley was struggling and got us a technician to wait with us for Dr. Flood. Dr. Flood did an extensive exam. Thankfully with some meds and rest, our Finley is back to normal. A huge shoutout to each of you!
