Created this account just to write this review. I feel it is my obligation to warn others of this business before coming here (I say business because that is what this place is, first and foremost). Brought my 8-month old beagle in on multiple occassions to treat chronic diarrhea. At first, they informed us he was infected with giardia and to keep him on chicken and rice while taking a medicine, Metronidazole, for 7 straight days, 2x daily. The problem persisted so we went in for a follow-up. The next doctor to treat our dog said he shouldnt be on chicken and rice any longer, the exact opposite of the first doctors advice. She prescribed the same medicine for another 7 days, claiming it was our environments fault for reinfection and that it should clear up. The next day, we get a call informing us that he in fact had whipworms, but never mentioning giardia again. The metronidazole probably actually prolonged a proper diagnosis, allowing the whipworm to infect our dog farther. Instead of prescribing a series of specialized medication over the next 2-3 months as stated on most, if not all, veterinary websites, we were given a 5-day treatment in powder form of Panacur for our Beagle and were told it would be a quick fix; that hed back to normal in no time. Now I sit here at 1:00 am a week later contemplating taking him to the emergency hospital, as there is now blood visible in his stools, extreme straining, and urgency to go. Along with these symptoms, he has begun vomiting, and does not seem interested in fluids or hydration. Instead of caring for our dogs well-being, Garden State Animal Hospital took it upon themselves to make sure we were scheduled for $100+ visits in which nothing was accomplished and he was misdiagnosed and mistreated. I would never take another animal here under any circumstance, and would urge strong caution to any others without an unlimitted bank account to follow suit. Dont let the wonderful ladies in the front fool you, because they really are the kindest ladies in the world. The doctors behind them are inexperienced, misinformed, and are not on the same page, creating chaos and confusion pertaining to our pets health. A few months prior to this ordeal, we brought him in for chronic ear scratching. He was prescribed medicine for an ear infection that didnt exist after the doctor told us she couldnt see anything in his ear. tldr; Garden State Animal Hospital will take your money and tell you what you want to hear

Dr. Fischer is the best diagnostician and vet I have found in South Jersey. She is compassionate, thorough, and experienced. I believe she gave my 14 year old dog a new lease (no pun intended) on life. My dog had digestive problems for years with vomiting and loose stools. She discovered that he had a baseball size tumor on his spleen and removed it with his spleen. Knowing how concerned we were about the chance of cancer, she was kind enough to call me while on vacation to give me the fortunate results of the biopsy. I now have a cat with diabetes. She is working with me to control the disease and helping me find the most cost effective medicines. I cant say enough good things about Dr. Fischer, except that she is the only vet I trust with for my pets care.

These are the doctors Ive been looking for since they left the old Cherry Hill practice. Ive watched these ladies in action from both sides of the table and they are wonderful. Experienced, caring, great diagnosticians - I cant express how happy I am to have doctors for my pets that I can trust completely. Weve been in and out the past few months with puppies and getting some health testing done on our young adults. Every visit has been handled first by the wonderful front desk staff and on to the Docs and the great techs and assistants who work with the doctors. They also have a wonderful doc who is more into holistic methods of healing if thats what you prefer. Thanks, Ladies, for being there and for taking such great care of my canine crew.

Dr. Scalarsky has been treating my pets for over 10 years. She left to open her own hospital, and I had to track her down. The care she gives the animals is like they are her own. I feel she truly cares, actually better then my own PHD cares for me. I couldnt give a higher recommendation. One pet she treated for cancer lived 2.5 years with a cancer that was supposed to be terminal and she did everything possible to help us try to beat this and when it came time to admit defeat everything was very humane, extremely difficult but very humane. I have been through vets and seen the best, mediocre and the worst. Dr. Fisher and Dr. Scalarsky are the best. Sincerely Eric..

I love Garden State Animal Hospital - so much that I drive over an hour (in another state!) to go to the vet. Dr Ball is THE BEST! The first time that she met my dog, she got down on the floor and played with him. She and the rest of the staff are kind and so knowledgeable. Every time I go there I know that both my dog and I are getting the best possible care. I cant say enough good things about Garden State Animal Hospital and Dr. Ball!!

Dr. Ball treated our dog Sammy through her terminal illness and we couldnt have asked for a better caregiver. She was kind, compassionate, and did everything possible for Sammy. She is incredibly responsive and always returned our calls immediately. We often felt we were her only patient! I would highly recommend Dr. Ball and the entire staff at Garden State Animal Hospital - they are the absolute best! - Melissa Cassera

Office staff are friendly, and caring. Dr. Ball & Dr. Koch genuinely care about animals and it shows in how they interact. Whenever Ive called with a medical question relating to a visit my call has always been returned by the actual doctor, as opposed to messages passed back and forth through office staff. Theyve always gone above and beyond any time Ive needed their services. I highly recommend this office.

Worst vet hospital! All they care is about money! Pet care is least of their concern! They lack compassion for the pets but they are very passionate for money! Never take my dog there any more. I will ask other pet owners to look at other veterinary facilities and go for the best place

We have taken both of our dogs to Dr. Ball and the staff at Garden State and we have found them to be extremely professional, caring and thorough. We have had dogs for over 30 years and this is one of the best practices we have ever worked with. We recommend them highly.

Dr. Fischer & Dr. Ball helped get my aging dog back to his youthful self. They were able to provide treatment and options that other vets did not. I honestly cant fathom trusting anyone other than Garden State with my dogs health. I wish I had found them sooner.

My cat was dying very early in the morning and was in a lot of pain. I called and got the vets number to call in emergencies. She met me at the hospital before it was opened and took care of my cat and me in a peaceful, humane manner.
