I have never felt more uncared for by a doctor or nurse than I did in my recent visit accompanyimh my sister to the Calvert Memorial Hospitals Emergency room. The nurses at the front desk were extremely rude, to the point of making us feel unwelcome. Not only were they consistently dismissive, they didnt give us any information or help beyond the check in. When we were seen and I was finally allowed to join my sister in the back, the nurse providing her care was also extremely rude when we asked for basic information about her well being, even when we just asked how long she thought it would take for the test results to return. My sister was in extreme pain and it felt like she wasnt taken seriously at all. She was very dehydrated as well but did not recieve an IV or any pain medication for a very long time. Unfortunately this is the closest medical center that can provide any sort of care without an additional hour drive; which could be life threatening especially in the amount of pain that my sister was. As the only hospital in the area, its understandable it would be busy. However, you would think the staff would have at least some compassion or provide ANY necessary information for me to help my sister on my own. If I had a choice, I would not be coming back. As it is, I can only pray that during my next visit I receive the care that I am entitled to.

This place doesnt even deserve a quarter of a star. My husband went there with an injury and no one showed any interest in taking care of him. He waited in a room for five hours and no one effectively communicated what was going on or the fact he needed to be treated. The "doctors" simple removed the foreign object and sent him on his way with no antibiotics or pain killers. The next day I took him to another hospital and he ended up needing extensive surgery to remove the infection and all parts of the object will in his body. This place is a scam. I have called three times to complain and no one has called me back. This isnt even a hospital. If you want to experience rude employees and not be preoprly taken care of then head on down to Calvert memorial hospital! Youre sure to not be treated properly.

I dont know why youre forced to even give one star. I almost didnt want to write this review solely on the fact that Im forced to give Calvert memorial a star. My father passed away in this hospital 9 months ago. He was being discharged and then he fell and the hospital did not catch the internal bleeding. Ok, mistakes are made. However, they knew my dad was dying for three hours and not one family member got a phone call. I have the medical reports to show.. so if anyone thinks Im crazy Im happy to show them. No one was able to be there for my dad because of THEM. Im 25 years old and I never got to say goodbye to my dad thanks to this hospital. I dont really know how to write a review about a hospital taking away everything, but thats what they did.

The ER Nurses and staff took wonderful care of my daughter the other night! I think many people fail to realize the wait time is not something the medical staff can entirely control and youll most likely wait just as long if you go anywhere else. People should be thankful there are people that are willing to help our children when we cant instead of trying to find everything wrong in the world. Take a step in their shoes and youll think differently about having to wait a few hours in an Emergency Room. Everyone thinks they deserve immediate attention in this day and age and cant stand to wait. Grow up the world does not revolve around you!

My 4 year old went to Calvert Memorial Hospital because he fell off the bed and could no longer stand up on his left leg. Shortly after arriving and getting an xray we were notified he had broke his femur bone. I had never experienced a broken bone before with myself or my children so I was scared to death in addition to the heartbreak of my baby being in pain. The staff was quick, very sweet and gentle with him. I feel like we were treated exactly how these professionals would have treated their own family. Im truly grateful to live and have access to such a great hosptial.

One star is being far to nice these people are idiots. Have taken my elderly mother there, three times in the last four years twice she was misdiagnosed with cancer a trip to the University of Maryland and and one to Johns Hopkins no cancer. Third time for a broken wrist and said she wait a a day or two or possibly five see an orthopedic doctor. Staff a security are rude. This hospital should loose any accreditation. Go th AAMC better off dying on the way up route 2then letting dying at Calvert Memorial

I was nervous about Calvert Memorial as we had a bad experience several years ago. But , my husband was in bad shape and they were the closest. We have had the best experience we have had at any Hospital. The care has been top notch, The ICU Team have been the best . I highly recommend them to anyone. They are caring, professional and they do not give up till they find out the problem and clear it up. Thank you so much to all the staff for your wonderful care.

I arrived in the emergency room tonight worried about a possible blood clot. No one was in the waiting room. I was seen by the triage nurse within 10 minutes and then put in a room. Not a single person acknowledged my existence for an hour! No nurse, no one! I finally walked out and headed home. I am guessing they didnt feel like it was an emergency so why should I? I have not had 1 trip to Calvert ER that was not a problem.

It is the worst I bring my wife in and we wait and wait and wait. Then wait some more I am still in the ER more then 3 hours and have yet to even see the doctor. They tell you 1 thing and it never happens this is the worst my wife has been in pain and still nothing. I would rather go to a witch doctor better chance of getting help thanks God we arent bleeding or missing a lamb we would bleed to death.

Dont go here they are the worst Emergency room ever Ive gone here 3 times each time they did absolutely nothing so after wasting time and a lot of money they just merely gave me pain killers each time and diagnosed me incorrectly each time as well. If I can help it I wont go here ive gone in pain an entire week to go see my primary doctor because I would not step foot in that place again.

I hate this hospital my grandmother went there for chest pains and they gave my high functional 80 year old grandmother ativan and keppra in which she didnt need now she is brain dead and can not wake up. Our family is hurting cause we are losing her... I dont want to give these devils NO STARS but thats the only way I can post my review smh
