This is a very difficult review for me to write. I had been taking our cat to Dr Dodson since we adopted our cat. They were minor issues and Dr Dodson was great. A few months ago our cat stopped eating and I brought her in to Petvacx. DR Randi Gibson examined our cat and they did several tests. Dr Gibson called me the next day and let me know that they did not find anything but the cat had a high white blood cell count. Dr Gibson suggested getting her tested for pancreatitis, all through out our conversation the Dr kept calling my cat a him, my cat is a girl, that was very annoying even though I corrected her twice. I was quoted $250 for the test and I had to pay for the over night shipping for the pancreatitis test. I started searching the net and found the average cost of the test was $150.00 and shipping. My trust was shot at that point. We tried the medication for pancreatitis and anti biotics, that was not working. I am going to make a long story short, we took out girl cat to another vet a month later and the new vet found the tumor with in a minuet of examining our cat. He did an x-ray and that confirmed the issue. It was on her colon and was the size of an egg. If Dr Randi Gibson had thoughly physically examined her she would have found the tumor, also if she had x-rayed her she would have seen the tumor. I remember Dr. Randi Gibson giving my cat the exam on the belly and she just kind of rubbed over the belly. The new vet massaged her belly and found the tumor. Talking with the second vet and looking at my girl cats deterioration and the costs of keeping her alive, we decided to keep her comfortable until she needed to go to a better place. We had a week to love her just a little more and say our goodbyes. I sincerely wish that Dr Gibson had been more though. I spent a month so worried about our cat because she is incompetent, all the sleepless nights, making her sicker by giving her the wrong medication. I miss my little girl with all my heart.

I love the doctors and staff of Petvacx. 12 ½ years ago, upon the recommendation of my neighbor, I chose Petvacx to provide care for my littermate brother pups. In late October I had to euthanize my boy, Jerry, due to illness. It was without question the hardest thing I have ever had to do. The bond between animals and their owners is so deep it requires the veterinarians and their staff to impart a level of respect and care far beyond what is their responsibility when euthanizing a family pet. There are no words adequate enough to express my gratitude to everyone at Petvacx for not only relieving Jerry from his suffering but also for being there with extraordinary love and compassion during this most difficult time for me. The reality of it is your veterinarian not only provides care for your pet but also for you. For many of us our pets are our family. The first thing that I realized so many years ago is everyone at Petvacx genuinely loves my boys. Dr. Craft, Dr. Dodson, and Dr. Gibson take as much time as is needed to answer all of the questions and concerns I have and to provide instructions for care or information to educate me. I knew from the first visit Petvacx was caring for my boys the same way they would care for their own pets. I am convinced we have received the best care possible. I have always been thrilled that Petvacx has a mobile van veterinary clinic that offers early evening hours several days during the week and Saturday hours too. There is always a doctor on the van in addition to the wonderful vet tech staff. Because an appointment isn’t necessary, going to the van for a vet visit is so convenient. What an awesome service. I recommend Petvacx to anyone searching for a veterinarian. You and your pet will be treated with the utmost professionalism, care, and compassion.

I also have had a very different experience from Marie Z. and my heart goes out to her. But as someone whose mother worked for a vet and did animal rescue work for many years, I agree with the other reviewer that Petvacx is one of the best veterinary practices Ive ever known. We have lived in the area for over seven years, and we have found the doctors and staff at Petvacx to be extraordinary. They do not overcharge and are very reasonable. They also do not "milk" the patients -- if its going to be expensive, they tell you right up front and they will also let you know if they think the procedure is worth the expense - and heres the most important part - and if the pet will actually benefit from it or not. I highly, highly recommend this veterinary practice. I also want to let people know they have a mobile unit, which weve also used. The location we went to is on Seven Lock Road in the parking lot of the Walgreens, across from LIfetime Fitness. They are there on Thursday evenings, which is a wonderful service. I also want to let readers know that I personally have found Dr. Gibson to be a very competent, caring, and dedicated vet, as well as Dr. Craft and all of the other vets at Petvacx.

I have been having my dogs treated by Dr Craft for about 4 years. I have been very happy with his care of my boys. I now have only one dog as my eldest needed to be put down a two years ago. His staff came to my home to perform his euthanasia. It was so much more comfortable than going in to the office. Dr. Craft makes house calls for healthy dogs as well. This is great because I am not able to get around very well anymore, so he and an assistant will come with all their supplies to take care of my little boy.They are very good handling my crazy lab who is very friendly but doesnt like to be treated. They are efficient and gentle. They know how he is going to react, they can read his body language very well. I have also found their staff to be very organized. I have worked with many different vets over the years. My last vet was wonderful but his staff was so badly organized that you could barely get anything done. I looked around for a while and asked a number of people before finding Dr. Crafts office. It was a breath of fresh air.

I have been using Petvacx longer than I can remember. I began using them because of their mobile service. My cat was impossible to get into a carrier so I chose Petvacx to make a house call. I have continued using them ever since that first visit as the vets are very knowledgeable, caring, compassionate and thorough. It is obvious they love animals. The vet techs are always a great help and truly love animals also. I now Petvacx for my 2 new cats and am just as happy with their care now as I was with my previous cat. I highly recommend Petvacx and their staff!

We are extremely satisfied with Petvacx at home service and we highly recommend them. Dr. Dodson and her assistant came to our home and put to sleep our 21 year old beloved cat Sushi. They provided this service in an amazingly professional manner. Dr. Dodson has shown a lot of compassion for Sushi and for us and proceeded with kindness and care every step of this very difficult process. We are heartbroken for losing Sushi but we are at peace that she ended her life in her home in a peaceful and painless way.
