These guys are amazing! I found out about them from a deal online and thought to myself... my dog is almost 4 years old and could use this teeth cleaning service they were offering on special. Probably the best deal I had bought online! The staff actually picked up the phone when I called (something that seems to not happen much these days) I easily made my first blog test appt. I called them the saturday morning when I was running a little late because of traffic from Reston and the guys was so relaxed and told me; "drive safe and we will see you when you get here." So NICE! i showed up 8 minutes late and was still treated nicely when I got there and offered coffee and doughnuts. I indulged in the coffee and was soon taken to the back and did the regular pet exam. They took a sample of blood and sent me on my way with my cleaning scheduled the following weekend. A few days later they called and told me my dog was healthy and would be good to go for the cleaning. i came to my appt that following Saturday at 8:30 am and was told they could have him till 3pm latest (bc of the anesthesia afterwards etc). My boyfriend an I decided to just check out the Arlington area for the day while we waited for Jimmy to be done. I received a call at 11:30 saying he would be ready in an hour bc they werent as busy as they thought, but if I was busy till 3pm to just pick him up later if I wanted to. So NICE and thoughtful to think of my time and plans I made with to original timeframe given. I picked him up and hour later and was given a free bag of great (fancy) dog food thats great for the teeth and told about the other products- which I ended up getting a bag of joint health treats that the front desk guy recommended (which had great reviews when I checked later). All in all Jimmy and I had a great experience and we will be back when need be... considering the vet we have been going to is in caroline county (not close to my current living situation anymore)- they are great too :-)... Oh an d obviously my dog had super white clean nice teeth afterwards. Thanks for doing such a great job, having great employees and offering a great deal to allow me the opportunity to discover you!

Ive taken my dog here before for a dental cleaning a couple of years ago with the other vets. Currently, those vets are no longer there and this place has a new vet. Apparently this vet will not accept updated vaccine records from other hospitals because they "dont know where the vaccines came from or who gave it to them". So these people wanted to over-vaccinate my chihuahua with their vaccines in order to do the dental cleaning. I wasnt going to let my dog get over-vaccinated. Apparently theyre really bad at communication too. Sent them an email a couple of weeks to contact Banfield to get the info they need that shows my dogs vaccines are good till next year. When I arrived at vetwerx after a 2 hour drive to get there, they said "we need a fecal test done still". Which tells me they didnt bother to read any of the medical records they were supposed to get, because my dogs fecal test was done already. Sounds like theyre really trying to get as much money from you without considering the well-being of your pet. Even saw an assistant get sassy with a dog she was about to take outside for a walk. This assistant even lied saying they tried to contact me multiple times after I sent them the email to get the records/info they need from Banfield. Even called and told the guy on the phone to just call Banfield and do that. I never got any updates as to whether they did that or not after that email or phone call. Seeing the negative reviews of the of this place with the new vet made me glad I didnt have my dogs dental done there. Id rather spend my money elsewhere better. If youre considering this place through the living social deal, then be prepared to spend more money.

Terrible experience! Notice that most of these reviews are from one to two years ago. One year ago I took my dog to this location and had a very pleasant experience also. Today was the second and last time! The office has changed vets. The new vet is terrible. The young female vet couldnt have more than two years real world experience. She insisted on unnecessary vaccinations, broke a wooden swab off in my dogs ear from being too forceful and then told me that my dog has an ear infection that needs to be treated. I have a 10 year old Labrador who loves to romp outdoors. She swims, she plays, she rolls in the dirt. Her ears do get dirty and we clean them regularly. The dirt that comes out of her ears( for 10 years) has always looked and smelled the same as it did when this vet retrieved the broken swab from my dogs ear. My dog doesnt flip her ears, her ears dont smell...there is no infection. The vet then got agitated and belligerent with me when I contradicted her. So, beware of this new vet. Dont think that youre going to buy a Livingsocial deal for a teeth cleaning and get away with a pleasant experience. As for the unnecessary vaccinations...a Bordetella to do a teeth cleaning, really? People, do not over vaccinate your pets! It can lead to complications. Sign a waiver if you can. Or just choose a vet who has you animals best interests in mind and not their bank account.

Excellent practice! Our dogs have been patients at Vetwerx and Dr. Canty and all of the staff have treated both dogs and us with compassion and gentle kindness, and the highest standard of care. The office is clean, bright, and inviting and staff are polite, cheerful, and kind. I appreciate how folks at Vetwerx take time to explain information to owners and clarify questions. Everyone works to make vet visits a positive experience and less stressful, and we greatly appreciate that vets and staff at Vetwerx are willing to go the extra mile to help patients and pet owners. We were particularly impressed with Dr. Canty who recently performed a dental cleaning and oral surgery on our beagle. She was a consummate professional and alleviated all of our concerns. Our dog was well cared for and what could have been a difficult process was transformed into a positive experience. Thank you to Dr. Canty for being an excellent surgeon, a good communicator and a compassionate caregiver who is committed to excellent outcomes for pets and their people. I highly recommend Vetwerx to pet parents.

I have mixed feelings. WHile I took a clients pet to the office I had to really dispute what was best option for cat. Otherwise vet bills would pile up. Nice facility but the organization and office staff really need to step it up. I had to put an animal down and waiting around the reception was not helpful. The reception person is very slow and takes too long to get thigns done. There where so many people waiting in line to get helped and the receptionist just wanders around in circles. They need to get the office staff together or get more help. they seem to be way to laid back and slow to get things done. I cant really say anything bad about the vet but seemed a little too new for me.
